I made my hydraulic top link--two versions. The first was nonpowered; used a ball valve between the two ports of the cylinder to keep fluid at one point or the other. Drawback is you have to raise or lower the 3 pt all the time then reach behind you and operate the valve. It worked ok for a season. Then I installed a rear remote which is the way to go. Later I routed the rear remote to two selector valves which allows me to control 3 other hydraulic circuits.

I think you could install a 4-way valve in between where the backhoe would normally be.

Be careful doing this because you need to determine if the lines to and from the backhoe control valve bank are open center or closed center. If they're open center that means if you install a closed center valve you'll deadhead the pump and blow it apart. Done this before lol

How long has this been happening? And is it the same all the time? It certainly sounds like you are running out of gas. Those carbs will plug up and almost loose a cylinder, but you are up on top and pulling air thru the throat and gas thru the main jet and that's it. Sooooo, I remember something about the fuel pump cavitating and squeeling, I wonder if you are sucking air in the pick up line from the tank. Or the needle and seat has something in it. I can't remember what makes the fuel pump squeel. Pinched line or??? It just sounds like you are cleaning out the gas that's in the carb and then it dies. Pull the pick up out of the tank and take it off the tank side of the fuel pump and put the air to it. Also there is a test for the fuel pump, so many ounces of fuel in so many seconds. I think you could take the line off, turn the key and guess if it's enough fuel. After all that there is electrical. The ign. module takes care of the advance, and if it doesn't advance you're going to put too much gas in the motor and it will quit. Lots of things to think about.

I would be concerned about the size ratio from front to rear.
That has to be correct or you risk doing damage to tractor or premature wear on the tires. From the info you gave you are putting larger tires on the front with the same size rears. Look at the static loaded radius of what you have compared to what you want to put on.

just read difference between 3 and 4 way valves for kubota have 2710 with 3 way valve thought i was brillant adding small hyd motor to turn blower discharge now found new problem read 2005 explaination dont really want to buy new valve . is ther away to feed return to pump main return fr winter use then restre for sumr bucke use hae to bend to only manufacture comnds this??

Thanks for the tips. As it turned out, it was the rear cylinder spark plug. The plug looked and gapped fine but I noticed when I turned it upright, the electrode dissappeared into the plug. Turned upside down it looked and measured normally. Goes to show you, should have checked the plugs more thoroughly.

Just recently broke a CV joint. The axle and joint are replaced together and cost about $100 and the boot was about $20, very easy to fix.

Dust in the cab is unpleasant. I bought the cab to keep spray mist from getting on me and also for warmth during snow removal.

Hi Graybeard, Im an old retired grandpa guy who just got a Duerr Model 678 - used - and not running but after carburator work it runs fine. However I have yet to use it to chip stuff to see if it really works. I am looking for the bag to catch the mulch and the operator's manual that you have so graciously made available. I don't have a fax machine but would be happy to send you some cash to copy what you have. Any idea on where to get the bags or is it easier to just make one out of a canvas tarp? Well the ignition module did the trick, runs like new!! Gatoraider, do you know anything about adjusting the brakes on this model? They have relatively new pads, but it is a little difficult to stop. Although, my hydraulic lift reservoir was leaking on the right caliper so I got that fixed and I am going to spray it down with some brake cleaner. That may make a difference. IF you do know any adjustment techniques I would appreciate your input. Thanks.

I prefer loose for all the same reasons Franky said. You have better inital steering too since the implement still wants to follow but not so ridgidly.

I assume this is for ANY Kubota dealer; including Art--not just Emerichsales. I found the post helpful although I personally don't do 0% interest. was offered that when I bought my Kubota--turned it down. JMMHO again

No thanks on the 151 . The previous owner told me the only way he could start it was to use either . He didnt use it much but damage was done . I will get it to start the way it should or it will be on Ebay .

I understand your point but
a) I can't identify the right manual, in ebay or other places after several hours of search and
b) as I live abroad, I would get it too late if posted.

There might not be so many pages, I understand the B7200 wiring is simple.There might be 3 or 4 connections max, probably 2 or 3 only to/from the alternator .. if somebody tells me just where they go, plus some key info (if any in the book) this may be enough...

I agree with KT, Woods has made good stuff for a long time, but any brand three point hitch type backhoe is real hard on the three point hitch of any tractor.
Woods may offer a subframe type backhoe that usually uses the thre pint hitch arms to lift the hoe into place then it is fastened to the subframe. The subframes I'm familliar with stay on the tractor without affecting the use of other attachments.
