Here in PA we had some record snow fall! I am so glad that it is over:) though I did make allot of money;). With three major storms to total more than 50 inches total I was wiped out. Thank god for spring.

I used to live in latrobe but now I am about 4 hours east.

Check the rear tire pressure. And it sounds dumb but make sure they messure the same tread to hub. I have found that tires af the same size acturally messure different.

Technically the plow power pack is redundant too; plows or yore useds the power steering pump as a source.

Be that as it may, I suggested the system for you since you didn't want use a selector valve or add a rear remote.

If you buy one of those grapple(s) off eBay which adapt to your bucket, all you do is pull two 1" pins and disconnnect the lines. Then you leave only the bracketry--the cylinder and grapple get removed.

My grapple is 6" too short on either side only because when I bought it I didn't have steel-over-the-tire tracks which widen me by 12" total. That said though I have used it for grading the grapple arms don't get in the way (open position gives me roughly a 48" opening). In fact doing hurricane cleanups, I would grap a downed tree trunk or telephone pole, clamp onto it and use that for pushing debris into piles or backgrading.

Even with the grapples closed they are very usfull for pushing/piling debris.

There is bucket out there that starts with "dozer" that actually has (2) 6" tall grader/dozer blades welded to the grapples so that when they're closed you can push dirt, which akin to me using the telephone pole to grade.

A guy (like myself) could make a single dozer blade that could rest on the bucket cutting edge and held in place by the closed grapples. It's on my to-do list though.

I don't know the local market and am not sure what a shredder is (wood chipper?), and you would by now know what you want, but seems to me once you've had 4WD and a FEL they would be requirements.

If you can get to the plug that connects the dump motor to the harness, unplug it. Run a jumper wire to the hot side of the battery and touch it to the plug coming out of the motor, one side is up and the other is down. If this doesn't work, the motor is bad. If it does, it is probably one of the relays mounted behind the dump ram. Check all the connections and plugs. Those units are sensitive to voltage, so make sure connections to power source are clean and tight. You can check the dash switch by unplugging the wire that comes out of the harness from the front of the Gator. Stick a test light in one of the holes, they should both alternate hot with the switch going to up or down.

KW, I find a lot of uses for used oil. A 5 gallon bucket is great to place tools such as shovel or hoe to protect them from rusting. Found the best way to keep a sprayer pump from going bad was to use quick connections and when through spraying drop in a 5 gallon bucket of used oil. That oil is also great to spray or brush on to such as disk blades or scrape blades. And of course it is really good to help fuel a fire such as burning brush, stumps or such. Oh it will also help prevent wood from rotten when used for floors in trailers or such.

oneace's warning about falling off the tractor can be real. Lost a friend who some how fell or was knocked off of his and ended up being squeezed to death by one of the wheels. It did not run over him but pressed his chest enough he could not breath. I also heard of a farmer who for some reason realized he was falling off the seat due to a health issue or insect sting or such while he was disking. He was alert enough and able to raise the lift so the disk cleared him he was pulling. He must have been skinner than me.

In the years before my first tractor I pulled a gang of three ex-golf-course Toro ground-drive reel mowers behind a fat-tired Jeep. Other than the bother of getting them professionally sharpened every year, they were trouble-free.

Sounds like the primary clutch on the CVT is not completely disengaging the belt. Clutch may be sticking. Good luck finding a new one as Hoffco/Comet is out of business.

Forgive me if I said this before but for a many years I wrote software for a vehicle tracking system in LA. It had a control center where operators at times were bored. There was no requirement for security and operators could peruse the database at will. Being LA there were a lot of celebrities in the database and operators would find them and track their vehicles to see where they were. A stalker and extortionist dream come true. In those days there wasn't the ability to talk or listen to the customer though. At one point we the owners discussed a relationship with GM to either provide tracking services or to be bought outright. That never happened but a few years later GM launched OnStar.<br>

It wouldn't surprise me if bored OnStar operators (maybe now they are government employees) tracked and listened in to folks at times. Famous people, suspicious spouses and parents or just someone they know.

hi there friend, my dad owns a john deere 1070 and it recently died. would you happen to know what problem it could be? the tractor just won't start, period. even with a battery that's fully charged, it just doesn't want to crank. if this is a question you might not be sure of, would you happen to know who does?
