Mine does the same and it's a 4400 with a 430.

My understanding of it is: There are 2 dump sections of valve. Push lever a little to right slow circuit is in. Push hard all the way the fast circuit in. If you stop someplace right between them that is where the lag time comes in.

Seemed like I had got past the issue but lately I must have brain cramped it. I'll pay more attention and see if still true.

Thanks for the link earthwrks. I got a quote from my dealer for $2,500. It would have a hard top,soft sided doors, heater, lights, hard front/rear windshield, wipers and lights. I just think it's a little steep.

This concerns auto dealerships instead of tractor.
I had been driving Ford pickups that I would order thru a local dealership. When I put lots of miles on one which I don't since retirement I would trade every two or three years. I went back to order a new pickup and the new salesman said no we don't do that unless you are a fleet customer we just sell from stock, OK, Bye.
Drove over to local Chevy dealership, told the salesman I wanted to order a new pickup, he couldn't get the order sheet out fast enough. Been buying both pickpus and cars there since.
Boss man at Ford dealership called a while later to see if I was about ready to order a new pickup, told him the story, never heard back.

OK, scary stories... Makes the dealer I know look pretty good.

Thanks for the analysis. About the only thing I found significantly different was between the snowblowers. The JD has power chute (for rotation). The Kubota has a crank. There is a power option but it pushes the cost up quite a bit.

Anywho...

If (the) plug (is) messed up (you) can use (a) 6" mini-pipe wrench. Once you get (it) out, replace (it) with (a) good one. LOL

As far as those oil suction pumps I wouldn't use one--they are only going to be able get wherever you can get the suction tube which will be a very, very small percentage of the total area of the oil pan bottom which is where the crud will settle. IMHO you have to get the plug out after the engine is warmed, drain it, and then run about a quart of new oil while the plug is still out. Let it drain some more then reinstall the plug and refill.

If it's that hard to get to, consider installing an elbow in place of the plug and run a short (or even long) piece of rubber hydraulic hose with a threaded end and a plug. (An old hydraulic line would work). A long hsoe would allow you to run it straight into an oil jug or bucket. (You're welcome LOL)

My walk-behind concrete saw with a 13HP Honda has just such a hose on it from the factory. Handy!

Years ago the autoparts used to sell a "Remote, (choke)cable-operated drain plug kit". I can see it now: "Hmm I wonder what THIS (pulling sound) is for? (sound of thrown rods)" "Rut-roh I know NOW".

Jean, I don't know a tractor mechanic in Murrells Inlet area. I use Rabon's on Hwy 501 in Aynor. They work on most brands. Matter of fact the only time have need a tractor worked on they hauled it also but I am only 7 miles from them.

Just wondering, did you check on the John Deere out side of Conway on Hwy 905? The size tractor you are talking about would not cost much to have it hauled.

Keep an eye on Craigslist. I have seen a few small to mid size for sale with construction down.

As to the PM, I don't know if possible to resend. Think it was details on the dealerships in this area.

That tractor has to have a problem!!!, my dad has a 2004 2015hst with close to 400 hrs on it , it's a tank,it will climb anything you have the guts to try,I don't care for the mowing deck set up, as compared to my kubota, but its been a great machine, I hope they resolve this problem for you.

The 4x10 series did not use a thermistor, only the 4x00 series did. The timer relay took it's place. It sounds like a good chance that is your problem.

No offense, but your dealer who told you Supersteer increases roll over doesn't have a clue.

I use mine commercially to brushhog hills and especially ditches that are so steep and deep you can't walk up them.

The beauty of SS is that if you do get in situation of too steep a side-hill all I do is cut the wheel to the up-hill side, hit the cutting brake and I can walk right out. The reason is the farthest-most front tire goes past the front bumper into solid ground for better bite.

In fact one client has my same machine without Supersteer and refuses to cut his own ditches and rather pay me. In the seven years of ownership I have never overturned it and that says a lot considering some of the stuff I willingly get myself into--and out of.

And the low clearance of SS has only caused me to get hung up ONE time and that was trying to cross a big wet log at an angle. Other than that it's not an issue.

Regarding the hours--an old post by kleinchris (TX) had made a comment back in 11-17-2007 regarding hitting the 200 hour mark would be a telling point for the "new" tractor. On the same thread, Nolat1114 (northcentral PA) was operating a CC-Y ex3200 at the time. The thread ended with no further "updates" in the late summer or fall of 2007.

In any event...any comments about the differences in hydralics between the Ex3200 (total 9.9gpm-implements 5.6; steering 4.3) vs. the NH T2210 (2030) (total 12.3gmp-7.2;5.1). Certainly, I will be able to lift more, etc; how perceptable will that be? Will I regret not having the extra power if I get the Ex3200? Or is it a wash on this size tractor?

I am wondering how the manufacturer does it too. The lines are steel and not flexible, so no I can't dismount the cylinder and invert it to purge the air. I may be completely off base in my diag anyway, but it's my best guess. The only basis of my theory is the fact that it drove completely fine as fast as you want to go BEFORE the top drain pipe that was made of plastic sprung a leak because it had rubbed against one of the cyl mounting bolts for years. It lost about 2-3 qts of oil, so we replaced the line with a piece of rubber hose, filled it back up and we were on the move again. The only other thing that is different is the piece of rubber hose I mentioned. Is it possible that this rubber hose is pulsating or something causing the problem? The original one was hard plastic. This line returns the spent oil coming out of the control spool back into the tank.

Brian, thanks for the continued insight. I talked to my neighbor today who bought a Kubota 2800 I believe from the local Kubota dealer. He is really happy with it and it has an HST transmission. His wife cuts their yard and besides her wanting him to take off the loader she's fine with it. He likes the wider footprint especially when he's on his pond's levee and is cutting grass. He has a bigger yard than I do but gave me some more pointers. I'm looking forward to reading and learning from other posts on Tractor Point.
