Gatoraider is very good on Gators do listen to his suggestions.

But we have one and it does some of what you are describing. Things that causes it with ours is normally being allowed to sit for a while (was over winter but we solved that by using it during the winter). Learned to use a gas stablizer and even gas adative to get it running back normal. I think gel may have formed in the carb while sitting but not sure. Our's would idle ok but when a load on it would spurt, jump and buck like a horse.

I didnt ask the price,but it was in brand new condition.You could send him a question,his 430 is on e-bay right now,says with cab and rake(I bought the rake)Location is Adel,Ia.He wasnt advertiseing the snowblower for some reason though.I had all his info,but have already thrown it away as to not have the temptation to ask about the blower. "it's originating from the low point" or is it just dripping from the low point? You really need to get a good light source and of course with tractor off and blocked so it can not roll look under it to find the source. Hope you find it just a loose filter, drain plug or such.

Only if you have experience in working with injection pumps you can remove it and take it to a diesel shop that rebuilds injection pumps, injectors, etc., they can put your pump on a test stand and evaluate the problem.
If you have no experience doing this it would be best to take the 4010 to the Deere dealership intact.

Well that is good, I am glad you were able to get it fixed. Can I ask you a couple of questions? What were you doing when it stopped? Do you know what parts where replaced? And if you do not mind, can you give me a figure that your dealer charged you. I have ordered the manuals, and waiting for them to come in before I tear mine apart.

I agree with the issues of accuracy, but some reading is better than none I suppose.

There are some nice little digital multi-function gauges out there now that will give you your choice of any 4 of 8 or 10 optional reads. They can even be programmed to flip to a certain function if the reading exceeds set limits, either high or low, and other wise will scroll through the 4 the rest of the time. Mot of them are only about 1.5-2" x 3-4" and can be surface mounted with double stick tape.

They are commonly used in small homebuilt aircraft and aren't much money.

Got an email from GM today offering 0 for 72 now with teh program.

I think it is going to leave a big void in the ages of good used cars available although I think there are still plenty available in dealers lots.

I'd like a nice used car for occasional use but it wouldn't be from NY anyway. This new calcium they started using a few years ago on the roads here is killing cars in five years anyway from the rust.

I'm not going to be there this year as the date and Bouckville antique days are running neck and neck for timing.

There is a lot of new machines there! We took over our new Kubota 126 tracked tractor which should work well for many of our farmers looking for better hillside stability and pulling power.
There is a lot of new machines from other companies as well there, one of our boys came back and just listening to him about the new equipment made me think of a kid in a candy store!

So far many farmers seem optimistic over their business, just not the pricing of the milk. There is way to much money lost between the farmer and the consumer.

I have traced the linkage, which I should have done three (3) years ago and found a big fat rubber electrical receptacle interferring with the PTO linkage...the linkage now works freely as it should...the machine still does not start.
1. I still need to locate the PTO interlock...I believe the PTO needs to be disengaged to start.
2. I did check fuses and found them to be good and also cleaned the fuse manifold with motor cleaner (this worked last spring since the manifold was very dirty and corroded in the spring).

Once I locate and check interlock connection I will post my progress. Not sure where exactly its located, but will look near PTO and wheel well.

TC55DA PTO does not disengage and therefore tractor will not start

Been long time but a twist off of Murf's (which you can control better) is to turn the engine over and let the compression break it loose. As I said been a long time but am sure those head bolts need to be say finger tight to begin with. May could do it turning it over by hand or impact wrench which to me would be safer. But, get a friend to look at it for you to be 100% sure all bolts are out, a set of female eyes normally see such better than male eyes do.
