Do you know what the number would be on a diesel.

Believe it is the same set up as on Kubota and you are opening or regulating the hyd oil flow on the lift with this knob. It is sort of like closing a water spigot or faucet. The more open it is the faster the oil flows to let the lift lower, full closed and it will not lower. If the knob is turned all the way one way and the lift will not lower, try turning it some the other way and see if that is not the problem.

Hey I just recently purchased a 09 Polaris Sportsman 550 XP!<br>
It is awsome! It does run rough at times when idling.<br>
Is there a problem or is it just the way its supose to be?<br>

That is great.

My thoughts, you had water in fuel the whole time. It really only takes a little water. If your tractor doesn't have a clear fuel filter you can drain you probably should change out the filter just to be sure.

On the coolant, I would run a flush through your system and then refill with clean water and coolant mix.

Yooper, thanks for your thoughts. How long a piece of the square tubing does the pinch style require to pinch down on? I wouldn't want you to fab something, it would be easy to make a wooden one here.

I'll have to measure up the chainsaws but I don't have cases for them. They are put away on a piece of scrap carpet that gets thrown on the burn pile now and then but they really don't leak much unless I get sloppy with the oil filler.

Made the adjustments today and man what a difference. It no longer surges and readily accepts rapid acceleration. The little knobs are fully turned against the stops but it works.

I think the belt is notched because of the severe angle it has to travel around the drive clutch at take off. Notches give more ability to turn on a sharp angle. They used to be solid, but I guess engineering changed them.

Thanks for the information guys. I bought the tractor used in 2005 and it still has the battery in it. It looks like a regular car battery in the tractor. It is small and only uses about half the space allowed for the battery. I will try and get it into my shop tonight and pull it out. I like the suggestion of just taking into a place that sells batteries along with the measurements of the space the tractor has and see what they have to offer. The tractor sits inside all winter and keeping a charge on it will probably not be a problem. The battery is a pain to get to so I may look at the idea of having an external terminal for the charging. Could this external terminal also be use for jump starting if the need arose?

Great advice from Auerbach. I have had bats living on the outside trim of my house. Common practice is for carpenters here is to shim the facia trim 3/4" out for the cedar siding to be pushed under leaving 1/2" by 6" bat cave all around the roof line of my house. A perfect bat cave.<br>

The kind of bats we had only lived under the trim during the warm season as in the winter they migrated to caves. Before they returned in the spring we filled all the cavities with a black foam.<br>

The bats love tight spaces as I described, we even had one or two nest in our patio umbrella when it was down and wrapped tight! <br>

Bats have to drop to be able to fly, as I discovered years ago when I had one in the house, he flew into the bathroom, into the mirror where he had no traction and dropped into the sink where he was helpless!<br>

You might be able to hang some plastic sheeting up after they leave at night, allowing for a drop location, for any that are left behind. <br>

Once they are gone look for those narrow tight spaces they love to live in inside the poll barn and caulk them up.<br>

You may find Bushhog to be less due to how close you are to them. But ask who owns Bushhog now. They were having some issues. But wow there are just too many of their mowers out there parts to be not be made by someone.

If you look at Woods or some other aftermarket FEL web site they often have good references as to what fits what. I assume that 770b is a pound rating or is that a model? If so go to the web site of who brand of loader is it. If not there send them email and they probably will answer.

Sure don't have a tilt meter but you should be fine. We cut my MIL yard with ZTR mower, 27 HP CUT both seem to handle a slope that has to be near 30 degrees. I have used the CUT with a 5 foot rough cut mower to back down a slope I am sure is 30 degree to cut the mouth of our pond with no issue, just moving slow and steady and with mower wheel on the ground. It may be safe but only back down and drive up, no driving across the slope. Funny at the top the slope away from the water feels ok, near the water no way. :)

Well, they're not broken down by VIN. The same part--Clutch Housing which bolts up to the back of the engine plate is the same part number for a TC33D and a TC33DA made years apart. No different part for early versus later. The housing sells for $1050.

I have to wonder (didn't check) if geared machines use th same housing. Anyone know if geared machines are the only ones breaking?

Thanks for the input. Temps regularly stay in the high 90's to 100+ during the summer, so the cab would have ac/heat. My plans are to move dirt, mow and try to pull out stumps after cutting the cedar down. There are 4 Kioti dealers with 37 miles of us, the closest is 19 miles and is a small mom and pop dealership. They seem very helpful and willing to answer questions. The difference in price between the Kioti, John Deere and Kubota for the same equipment is what I'm looking at. The comments on the forum seem pretty positive on all three. Have you or any frieds had any experience with either the Kioti DK 35 or 40, John Deere 3520 or Kubota 3540?

I do not know about that specific model, but it seems that a small percentage of the mid-frame TC series have been known to break in half when operating with a heavy load in the bucket and a heavy load on the rear. A lot of owners have never experienced that problem but it would scare me off.
