My 955 compact tractor will not lower the belly mower or the three point hitch with the lever. It does raise fine. if left over night it will leak down. the adjust knob under seat is all the way out. It has done this before and all I had to do was turn the knob. does anyone know how this knob works? is it a valve or is it a cable going to a valve? Any info on what I need to do to fix this will be appreciated.

Believe it is the same set up as on Kubota and you are opening or regulating the hyd oil flow on the lift with this knob. It is sort of like closing a water spigot or faucet. The more open it is the faster the oil flows to let the lift lower, full closed and it will not lower. If the knob is turned all the way one way and the lift will not lower, try turning it some the other way and see if that is not the problem.
