Hi Art, I am having problems finding new hydraulic caps for my loader, I have a 2003 bx2200/la211 loader, my dealer has ordered the following caps/plugs, 7J245-66440,7J245-66410, 7J245-66430, 7J245-66420, 7J245-66340, 7J245-66310, 7J245-66320, 7J245-66330, 75536-66430, 75536-66430, the problem is that all of these are way to big for the fittings on my loader! I have also been talking to cathy at kubota in columbus, no one can figure out whats going on , all the pieces I have recieved say 1/4", but they are way to big!, did they make odd ball size connectors on my tractor ?Craig.

Is this a brand new tractor? How big is the mower? Mid mount or rear pull behind? Finish mowing or rough cutting?<br>

All yannies are diesel, and their engines are widely used in boats, construction equipment, and other tractors, notably JD.

Many are legitimate "export" models (designed for sale in North America), but that model is one of the many "grey market" ones (designed for sale only in Japan and therefore not supported by Yanmar, for instance, with manuals in English). There are a number of dealers who do support the greys, but that one is a rarer model, and the lack of 4WD lowers its utility.

Huh, so my sponsoring Jeff by paying his tuition and claiming it as a tax write off against the $50 million dollars I just won in the Nigerian State Lottery won't work?

I hope I can get a hold of my attorney Sir Joe Smith, Esq. to stop the cheque to Jeff before he goes to Western Union to cash it.

And I was counting on the cash from the 'extra' few hundred grand I had the lawyer add onto the cheque too. Oh well. LOL

Depends what's down there. In terms of downward pressure, a concrete post can bear an enormous amount of weight (a bit more if rebar-reinforced in the center) so strength isn't the concern, it's sinking.

Drill a test-hole or two. Poke at the bottom. If it feels like rock, you can drill a skinny hole. If it gives any, drill a fatter one, and lay down up to a foot of cement first -- or use the conical tubes that someone above referred to.

I'm right with you on the ATI skid steer hook up. The Kubota will limit you to their stuff only just like the rest of the manufacturers do. Don't bite on it!

The only draw back is that some of them do stick out further as well as weigh more but it keeps you with a more universal system. This gives you more flexibility in attachments as well as better prices!

We've used ATI for years on our tractors we sell and they have held up great!

We do have a few well meaning people in the sebnate and Congress, the rest just seem to be along for the ride.
It is sad that the greed for power outweighs their desire to do something good for the country by some in both parties.
The beer thing reminds me of a couple years ago when dairy farmers were getting paid a fair price for their milk the headline story on the six o'clock news was a milk price protest. They showed a bunch uninformed people in front of a supermarket waving signs with an uninformed teeny bopper type reporter interviewing some of them. I wanted to but didn't call the TV station to see if they ever featured a protest of the high cost of beer.

I'm not aware of your particular tractor's features nor do I have a MMM, but friends who do have them rave about NH's SuperSteer when it comes to remove/installing the MMM. Supposedly all you is crank the wheel (the entire axle) to one direction and slide the MMM under the tractor. I hear this works even better if you have FEL to lift the front end off the ground to.

For those of you not fam. with the SuperSteer, it uses a hydraulic cylinder to push or pull one spindle/knuckle of the front axle which not only steers the machine but actually pushes one side of the front axle while pulling the other side. This causes the farthest wheel to extend past the front of the tractor while practically tucking in the closest wheel by the engine. This results in an 18" turning circle---use a cutting brake and it's reduced to zero.

Unless they've changed the design since I had mine, it's supposed to kick back to the middle when it reaches the limit of travel - both lift AND lower. And those limits of travel are set by the thumbscrew devices on the control linkage. It's imperative that you do NOT permit the lift arms to travel too high.

The hydraulic lift piston has a large O-ring seal and two plastic wipers that hug the cylinder walls during travel. When the lift arms are permitted to raise too high, the piston seal and wipers can extend beyond the end of the open cylinder. The seal and wipers are then damaged the next time the arms lowered - because at the same time, the seal and wipers are torn being pulled back inside the cylinder walls.

One of the thumbwheel stops controls the max lift height. If you don't want to be tearing into your hydraulic lift box, that's the important one.

Frank, still around and still stopping in and adding my cent and a half when I can! We've been quite busy here for what everyone else says so we'd just as soon keep rolling although I did take a day off the other day!

It's to bad that you won't be able to make it, I'd enjoy meeting you face to face and discussing the farming world!

Bought a 2554 about 4 months ago and so far so fine. No real complaints. I adjusted the reverse lever linkage to get more throw from the lever and more reverse speed. Much better this way.<br>

Jeff, it's actually a pretty common occurrence over here.

Raccoons aren't dumb, they know where the easy/free meals are and learn pretty fast about new ones.

We have a similar situation when we harvest our turf crops, they must be able to smell the fresh earth and grubs and move into the fields in large numbers.

We used to only harvest in the evening and into the overnight so the trucks could go out first thing in the morning (and so it was cooler to work) but it got to be such a problem the little buggers would try climbing onto the back of the harvester at the back where the rolls get stacked on pallets. We (and most other producers in our area) took to instead irrigating the field to be harvested in the evening, and begin harvesting at dawn for daytime deliveries.

That way the sod isn't left exposed to the little buggers overnight.

The easy way to keep them off the new turf is to keep a misting-type sprinkler going all night on the area, the water masks the smell of the grubs and helps to keep the raccoons from smelling them.

I just sold mine today I have a 3540 hst with cab on order now. I loved my 3400 hst just wanted a cab for safety I ride my little boy around alot. The only problem I had was the cable for the pto would not disengage sometimes and i would push it up with my finger by the lever. If you have the quick attach loader can you take it off for most stuff or do you need it pretty often. I only had mine on if i needed it saves on the front end. Get the dual airfilter kit for yours if you dont have it and i mounted two small army boxes behind the seat for storage and tool box not that tools were ever needed its a kabota

Manuals come with NorTracs, seller should have provided them. But you can buy replacements right from Northern. Three point leakdown is a common problem if/when the liftarms have been raised too high. The piston is forced out beyond the cylinder walls, damaging the O-ring and wipers on the way back in. Parts are cheap, job is mostly labor.

Can't help you with the PTO though, not enough info. Do you have BOTH levers engaged?

I have too much acreage to mow in L3. It cut just fine in H1 - on level ground and downhill. But shifting into L3 everytime I headed back uphill just got to be too aggravating. If L3 works for you, great. What worked for me was a bigger tractor.<br>

And it's the uphill trips that cause hydraulic fluid to surge under the fill/vent. If you've overfilled, the mess is even worse. Mine had only one hash mark on the dipstick, and I treated that as the full mark. Didn't add hydraulic fluid till the dipstick came out dry<br>
