Wow, this is too weird. I am having the exact same problem. Used my 4300 last week several time and no start this weekend. I knew to listen for the solonoid and it is just barely clicking not the big chunk I am use to hearing. So, what does that mean. If it was not makeing any sound, I would say it is the interlocks had it, but since there is an audible (faint) click then is it the solonoid itself? Are these prone to going bad?

Are you running the backhoe off of the remote valve (quick connects on back of tractor)? If so, be sure the lever is in the center position. Not sure what line you conneced under the tractor? On some kiotis, there is a valve block and a small valve to switch from backhoe to 3 point. Not usually on DK35 though...

I know there's a spec somewhere, but I put them on with a half inch impact. That way you don't have to hold the crank. Don't stand there and lean on it, just hit it once. Taper fits don't require alot of torque. I think the spec is less than 100 ft/lb.

Take the replacement to a weld shop and have new back notches cut in them. It no big deal.

Heck bring them to me I cut for no charge.

If the front notch irrates you weld full and grind off excess.

I have a couple of teeth (on my scraper) notched on both sides with no problems.

Does your Gator have the brace that holds the motor rigid to the transaxle? It bolts to the head on the motor and thru-bolts to the transaxle. It sounds like it isn't there or isn't securely bolted down. If it isn't there the motor will move toward the transaxle on acceleration and loosen the belt up. It can also torque the motor and egg out the mount holes in the frame. It sounds like you have an alignment problem to tear up a belt like that. The part # is AM119204, and it's called a belt guard.

I did find the head bolt torque and diagram in the manual. Haven't needed to use the tractor yet so haven't torn it apart. Also got the valve clearance setting from the manual.

Found out why that left brake is so grabby. The entire area is clotted with old oil and crud. The seal had been leaking for a long time gumming up the works. Funny that there was so little evidence of the leakage on the outside. The brake shoes, springs and all are fine but will need cleaned thoroughly. The banging of the brake has sheared off a long stud and loosened others. The axle nut is tighter than a hatband so I'll have to remount the wheel to really get on it. Naturally the axle nut retaining circlip broke off in the nut so I expect to ruin the nut during removal. Have a new one coming. Need that long stud but don't have a parts book.

Anybody know of an on-line parts book for the old Fords?

Does anybody know the meaning of the initials that designate Kioti lines? Are CK, DK, LB, KL, LK, and EX meaningful initials that represent words? <br>

I ask because they have the same engine power in, for instance, the CK and the DK lines, so I wanted to know the significance of which line it's in.

The DK45 is still available from Kioti dealers (as an "S" rather than a "C" version) so you can easily get the new asking price. (Confusing the issue, they want $4,000 for an installed loader. Confusing the confusion, they offer the loader free on many models.)

The discount for being five years old depends on its shape, local conditions, and the seller's motivation, but I'd estimate 1/4 to 1/3.

The fuel filters on our Deere 345's always have an air pocket and really never look like they is enough gas in them to run on, but they run fine.

I had worse luck with my Ford Ranger, but that doesn't make either of us feel very good. Make the dealer get to the bottom of the problem and give you a 12 month warranty on the repair - they should do that as a matter of course. Maybe the axle is bent a bit and wobbles, or the bearing is bad, causing the seals to die an early death. They need to diagnose and not just swap parts.

Usually if you follow the clutch-pedal linkage you'll find adjusting nuts, but you can get a manual from a Kioti dealer, and their website has a link to their technical people.

Thanks for the help, these tractor were not that popular here in the south east, but I will post a message on craigslist as per suggestion. Sorry I did not have a chance to respond earlier. Who knows, gramps may have one under a tree gathering moss, or it may pop-up on a google search. I appreciate the phone number for Mullins, I will call ASAP.
I will let all know where I eventually find parts. It's tough knowing you could easily repair your tractor if parts were available.

Frank, hope someone who really knows with chime in, but I think the Gator mulching blades or anyone's I guess do so by throwing the clipping back in the air for them to fall down on the cutting edge again. If that is do it makes sense there might be more debris on the bottom of the deck. Have never thought on that.
As to the green clippings, don't forget piles of those things generate a lot of heat, even fires.
