I don't know a lot about the JD line, but is a 2010 tractor the same engine as a 2010 crawler with a gas engine?

If so then the engine firing order is 1-3-4-2 & looking down at the distributor cap from above the rotor turns in a counter-clockwise rotation.

In my original post I didn't mention (because I hadn't observed it yet) that a substantial bounce on the front end from dropping in a hole or slamming the cowling down while the engine is running would blow the fuse. I think I had a loose starter cable, because since I removed/replaced it, the problem has gone away.

Hmmm, missed this thread before somehow.

From what I understand, there is a fundamental difference between the two bulb types and therefore also the ballasts designed to run them.

Comparing a typical 2 bulb 48" fixture; A T-12 bulb is designed to have a 72 watt magnetic ballast, a T-8 is designed to have a 56 watt electronic ballast.

My understanding is that running the wrong bulb can dramatically shorten the life of the bulb, ballast, or both.

'Instant on' is nothing more than the type of ballast, it has nothing to do with whether it is designed for use with T-12 or T-8 type bulbs.

The T-8 style electronic ballast is a more expensive unit, so in all likelyhood the fixture you have is a 'price point' unit and so designed & built with the least expensive parts available.

I discovered this myself recently, the ballast in one of lights in the basement went. I was rather shocked to find out that there was just $3 difference between a replacement ballast, and a whole new light fixture!!!

The ad said it was a replacement for the amt 600.
here's one like it from another seller that has identical letterings. The real problem is My switch has the G-B-M near the prongs....but no S1-S2-A.....and, I only have 5 wires...not 6. I have emailed the seller. Can you tell me what your switch has on the back?

Doug, how good are you at welding? :) If they really did use off the shelf parts as Murf mention, maybe just maybe one of the 3 party brand of FEL companies made it for them. You may wish to contact those companies asking. But price??? It probably would be more than you want to pay.

If it has 3 point hitch on the rear that is standard you should have no problem finding attachments for that.

Without the jumper battery will it turn over? If so does the second battery speed it up? Just trying to be sure the battery in it is not so dead it is still hurting you.

Do you have any way to test if current is getting to the glow plugs? Are you sure you are engaging the glow plugs?

Any reason given to you or history on why it was not running?

Have you checked to be sure the air intake is open, no insect or rodent nests?

Not a question you asked but have you checked the fluids for water? Engine oil and transmission? It probably would be good to replace them to begin with along with filters. You don't want to pump trash.

Glow plus and starting fluid are not good combos. If all else fails, I still find a good pull works. There are those who will say should never be needed or used. If you do, you be sure you have two drivers who know what to expect and are very careful. kt

There are some experts who say much of the money leaving the stock market was over this fear and moving to where it would be safe. If that is true that will mean less money to be taxed and also less for business. Neither helps the economy.

I think it was before Obama was a name I even knew there was a thread here on some of this very topic on steps to protect our family.

No doubt we must be alert and involved. Wonder what will happen when Obama is not able or willing to do what was either promised or preceive owed to some support group?

IMHO, might be purely coincidence. Being that low, really isn't that much in the scheme of things. You can lose that much fluid level just sitting on uneven ground. For something hydraulic to be consistently or predictably slow without being jerky or sluggish usually means a bad pump when all other things are ruled out. However, jerky motion usually indicates fluid starvation and aeration of the system--which will quickly lead to a bad pump.

owning a 790 my self and growing up on a farm when i was a teenager I KNOW THE 790 would not be up to the task !!
1. the lifting capacity is insufficient.unless the moisture content is at 2% (dust)
2. the wheel base is to short and narrow with ag tires i have r4's
3. the BRAKES nor engine compression is sufficient for any road travel and you never get done in low range (unsafe)

how ever the 990 would be the safe bet

the B7800 is being replaced this coming year and will be a B3200. The 3030 will stay in the line-up as is. The atachments for both loader and hoe are the same so you are down to the tractors feel to you.

Yes I did get it fixed. Stupid rookie mistake - just as you mentioned - I was not pushing the handle far enough to the right to get past the detent. After reading your e-mail, I went right down and tried it and it worked great (only issue I would say it has now is that it moves way to fast - but oh well, I can deal with that).

If it's anything like my TC33D, it uses an electromagnet in the form of a puck that sticks to a steel pad directly under the steering wheel (think: electric trailer brake principle). You might have a broken cable end at the magnet or buildup of debris and/or oils that prevent it from sticking.

Might be a blown fuse too even though the light works.
