From a physics point of view the vortex would cause the droplets to get as the centrifugal force pushed them outwards and together, with lots of it likely accumulating as liquid on the inside of the carbs throat.

As was mentioned earlier on, in order to increase the overall efficiency of an 'infernal' combustion engine, you would need to first reduce the parasitic losses such as mechanical friction and heat.

Until those losses are dealt with there's really very little gasoline left to be burnt better to increase the overall mileage.

If you need a loader you'll want 4WD. When the bucket is full the tractor tends to pivot forward around the front axle, unloading weight from the rear tires. When that happens the rear tires get far less traction and you may not be able to back away from the pile. In cases like that you need the front wheels driving backwards.

Really don't have solid 1.5" rows of limbs to cut but have learned the job seems to always get bigger and not smaller. You clear this and it looks so good so now less go to the next bigger stuff hidden by the smaller younger and tender stuff.

Happened to talk with someone last night who helped another build a cutter using a large saw blade. He offered me large saw blade and some other parts to build my own. Will check that out first. Really appreacite your feedback. kt

What makes you think it's an 80s model? I don't really believe AgraCat (in Arkansas) was in business back then. But I know for sure they're not in business (under that name) anymore.

If it fact it IS one of their imports, you've got what amounts to a rebadged Jinma 200 (JM200). As such, you should be able to get manuals for it from current Jinma dealers.

If you are searching the web you might want to refer the machine as a T-20 Ferguson.

I'm not an expert on the Ferggy, but I do know that the tractor was was patterned or copied from Ford's Fordson 9N 2N and 8N's. I'm not aware of any parts that actually interchange with Fords though.

So if you search for Ford's tractors having similar problems or issues that might be a huge plus. Good luck.

My nephew left the key turned on while the AMT 600 was on a battery charger . Before that it ran like new with no problems. After 10 mins on charger with 12 volts at 1.5 amps charging, the unit will not start now. It spins over plenbty fast and is getting fuel , but no spark from the plug wire. Is there a inline fuse or somethin on the coil/ignition hot wire, or maybe have we burnt the coil up ? Any help is appreciated .

Ken, sure no hyd hose expert but wonder if all NAPA stores use the same supplies on those? At same time many companies do have different grades of a product, even with their name on it. Take Michelin for instance. They have their famous tires and then some OEM tires recaps as about as good as.

As to the price of the local made hose compared to premade, I do not find the local made to be anywhere near the price of the premade. Not for generic hoses, if for a certain hose on a certain machine you probably are correct. kt

Hello I have a 2004 5234D out of warranty that is now in the shop facing a $4k estimated repair for what appears to be a PTO problem. I was mowing (nothing special) and a sudden loud squeal and pop then nice crack in lower casing and leaking trans fluid. Engine runs fine, PTO and tran no. I heard there may be some latent defects on these? please help - I'm out of warranty and will likely part out on eBay vs pay $4k to fix. I've sent a note to Cub Cadet and my local dealer in Frederick MD is trying thru local mtd rep to see if they can help me out. thanks Rob 703 244 0309, rob.seweryniak_at_ge.com

My son recently purchased a Mitsubishi D1600. He didn't get any manuals with it and we can't find any information on implements. We purchased a brush hog but it won't fit...any suggestions would be appreciated!

Jeff, never had seen the set up until the past Friday as I happened to see it on Agri Supply's shelf. It looked like it was designed to fit the factory connectors but wondered about clearance as it would extend out maybe four or more inches. The body plus the connectors might push it a good bit more than four inches. kt

I just completed the brackets for a grapple on my JD3120. It is a little heavy for the front loader, 400lbs. I tried to pull a few boulders, one worked, one didn't. Same with some downed timber. Brush should be easy. I will try to post some pictures.

The Jinma 254 (generic name for your Nortrac) does not have position control, you simply move the lever, which controls the valve in the direction you want the lift to go, then return it to the middle position when the lift is where you want it. the adjustments Greg mentions will allow you to set the limits of travel, when the lift raises to a certain hight, the lever will kick back to the center position by itself.

Interesting! Now a days I have a reciever hitch mounted on the top of my bucket loader & I am able to slide in whatever I want to use that day - sometimes I use the pintle or other times I use a drop down with a 2 inch ball to move the log splitter with. It's uses are unlimited! Thanks for sharing the interesting story about the guy that towed his truck with his BH! :)

Thanks, I've got tons of emery cloth and that makes sense. I do retract them when parking the hoe but they always drift down over time, and sometimes a few months go by between uses. Guess I need to start blocking them so they stay up.
