I'm looking for a place to purchase a air filter for a 1500A. I have no other information on the tractor.

The shop just called me on Friday and told me it was ready to go and that they had put a new rear end in it and the problem was gone. I went in to pick it up and took it for a test drive and it never made fify feet before it started again. The noise was gone in the back but still persists BAD in the front end. Still nothing solved as of today. Shop foreman was pretty speachless when I took him for a ride, he was contacting JD rep again today.

Had never really thought of it as martial law but guess it really is. In our worst cases we do used armed National Guard as looting is always a possibility.

If it were a New Holland and you had a recent Ford employee paycheck stub, you get to literally see the factory invoice (not the dealer invoice which is hypothetical) and buy at the same price the dealer paid. The dealer makes his money by holding back 6% of the sale as profit. Wow! I saved something like $3500 on my '02 TC33D and about $8500 on one '03 skid steer and $13,000 on another '05. Technically, the dealer if he participates in the employee discount program, only has to give you a discount on "blue Agricultural equipment" and implements but not "yellow Construction equipment" which were not part of the workers union deals struck with Ford and New Holland when they split off in '96, is my understanding.

I saw this info on a different site(posted 5-31-06). I haven't changed mine over yet....

This is a known and common problem with the hoses, it has nothing to do with high back pressure and is not indicative of more problems to come. No need to replace your tractor. Your dealer should know there's a fix for this problem which includes different hard lines that allow replacing the elbows with straight hoses. It's been available since at least last November(2005). Total Cost is approximately $75(more now)

I have a TC33D with the 72" side discharge deck. It would windrow with the chute installed but blows the clippings out nice with the chute removed.

Good Morning,Gang..I cant think of a better way to start Fathers Day weekend (before the rest of the family wakes)than with a dicussion about compact tractors...I have been shopping & test driving for the last couple of months,I eliminated all but 2.: The Cub/Yanmar ex3200 & the Kubota b7800 (or b3030 for the extra bells & whistles).I test drove the Cub last weekend, a great machine,lacks little just slightly weak on up hill loader force..As for Kubota I have a few buddies own them and swear by thier capabilities and indestructibility, I will test drive them next weekend!..Does anybody out there have any experience or opinions on this match up ?..5 acres 50% fields,50% woods,100% work....LETS GET READY TO RUMMMMMMBLE! .."Happy Fathers Day"..

I did a little research on this topic a while back. In fact, there's a very long discussion pertaining to the Cub Cadet / Yanmar tractors on this board.

Yanmar makes every part that goes into the new CC/Yanmar tractors. Most parts come from the factory in Osaka, Japan.

All CC/Yanmar tractors sold here in the U.S. are assembled by American workers in Adairsville, Georgia. (About halfway between Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN.) This is also where the main U.S. parts inventory is located.

In addition to the new tractor assembly plant, Yanmar is also building its engines in a building right next door. They plan to build 100,000 new engines for the U.S. market this year.

Traded my BX1500 54"MMM to a BX2350 60MMM no FEL. Also purchased a F2680E for mobile home park mowing, level land. Looked at BX26?? but passed for the BX2350 which will be for mowing and some seeding,fertilizer work (Ferguson reseeder). Don't need the extra 3HP for the money. Will mainly use L3240HST for FEL, Front Forks, Landscape rake and box blade work.

Finally rec'd the F2680E. Before getting it I traded my BX1500 54"MMM to a BX2350 60"MMM and had it delivered to the mobile home park level property I mow because grass had gotten really high. I had sold my gas Kubota mower before ordering the F. That is the property I ordered the F2680E for. The BX1500 and L3240HST is what I use at home for hillside and rough terrain mowing. Will have to move F2680E to the level property and bring the BX2350 home to the hillside. The F2680E is a great riding, manuvering mowing machine but it "ain't no tractor". Best riding model of all I own or owned. Course it has the best seat with the most adjustments. My BX2200(former), BX1500(former), B7800(former) and L3240 all climb my hills mostly without engaging differential. One spot is almost straight up so usually have to engage differential on it on the BX's. The F2680E is not the 4wd model and would not go up some hills even with the differential locked. Don't seem to be experiencing any problems with RFM but did notice after mowing that the outside screen behind the drivers seat had a bit of chaff on it. The discharge is under the driver seat so it doesn't bother me while driving. Course my BX's with side discharge mower also get chaff and dust on intake screen. Just wipe it off with hand into the wind when I stop. Get alot of wind on my hillside which blows dust and cut grass all over. So, I recommend highly the F2680E 60"RFM for level to rolling ground mowing. If it's steep get 4wd or tractor.

If its not too late, have you considered a diesel? Not sure if the Misses would go for that but with fuel prices being what they are and you appear to be needing or at least wanting a full size vehicle, a diesel may be a good choice.

Once the Cummins was broken in good it has always gotten 23 mpg highway and about 20 mpg local. A friend and I recently installed a set of 90 hp EDM type injectors and an Edge EZ and the milage went up another 2 to 4 mpg depending on the driving conditions. (that is of course if the driver maintains discipline over his right foot :O)

Mind you the new 6.7 liter Cummins engines get significantly worse fuel economy during their break in period but gradually improve to near to very low 20's mpg. If you can find a 2007 model 5.9 liter, they still get great fuel economy. With a few other mods such as an exhaust brake, bypass oil filter, and a set of good gauges, the costs of maintenance goes way down.

Another nice thing about a diesel is that it can burn a wide variety of fuels if need be in the event of a shortage or SHTF.

Another thing is that Dodge has an $2.99 a gallon fuel offer for 3 years/12,000 per year. IF diesel continues past $5 a gallon, this might be a nice cost savings as well. If you can find a new 2007 5.9 liter. Even with a 6.7 liter, that is not a bad deal IF you are in the market for a NEW vehicle.

Diesels are not for everybody but for some applications they can't be beat.

You won't go wrong there but just be aware that Chevron makes the Hygard for John Deere. I seriously doubt they make a special formula only for them. They manufacture various oils in large batches. The packaging is what is different. Walmart and Shell play this game too.

I assume you want it for a decoration. Looks better if you sit it in a hole dug for the lower quarter or so, rather than perched entirely on the top of the surface.

Get a car hood from a wrecker, and roll it onto the middle. One driver pulls the hood with a 4WD vehicle while you push it with your bucket.

Bcaech: Good choice. I purchased a 2305 with 62C MMM, CX-200 FEL and ballast box about a year ago. I have two acres to mow and am very pleased with the 2305. Be sure and order the ballast box and front work lights.

Don't over look dealerships. No idea there but here the price of used compact tractors vary widely. Highest in construction and lawn care industry area and lower in farming area. Not that many miles apart either. kt
