I'd go after Kubota or the seller if you bought it from a dealer. There must have been a defect in that component.

Well, the BX 2350 comes tomorrow mid-morining. The dealer couldn't get a scraper (and we've had the wettest March since they started keeping records over 130 years ago!) so for my driveway I'm getting a MF 60" box blade from another dealer, a bit over 500 pounds, I think. Based on reading on other boards I _should_ be OK, so long as I don't dig too deeply. Other experiences?

My wife picked up a can of diesel this morning -- first time we've had diesel on the property in 20 years. The dealer said to use diesel only from an Ag fuel dealer, that the quickstop diesel for trucks had impurities. Any experiences/responses there?

Well, wish me luck. I've got 800' of driveway that is sadly neglected, needing some FEL and blade work. Guess I'll get to know my tractor very well tomorrow!

Interesting. I am considering selling/trading my 3 year old B7800 with FEL with 128 hours in Kentucky and getting an L series. I use a RFM 6' which I plan to keep. Going to see Kubota dealer next week to see pricing for L. Maybe someone will want to buy mine. cirajohnthomas@msn.com

This brings back memories of my first Kubota a BX2200 that I bought about 4 years ago. Had couple flats from big thorns/wood sticks in ag or ind tires. Traded BX2200 for a B7800 and also bought a BX1500 and until yesterday when I pulled the BX1500 out after winter and it has a flat front tire. Thought I had gotten past the flats phase.. Ended up tubing my BX2200 tires.

Most multi blade mowers will cut either lawn or field but between a field mower and a lawn style there will be a loss of cut quality for either in the other use.

I've used finish mowers in fields with grasses and I've seen the Bush Hog squealer twin 84" do a great job on a lawn when set right.

I'd buy the mower for the lawn but look for cast iron spindles that are long, they stay together better. Try to find a multi V-belt instead of a single and cast iron pulley for the belt will also help.

I was hoping to hear from jbob81. I am looking for a tz25 and was intersted in his machine that he said he wanted to trade in. I also looked at the new kubota bx24 tlb. Any thoughts out there between the tz25 and the bx24?????

The site where I found the rock bucket also has something called a Stump Bucket. It is basically like a backhoe bucket that attaches via the quick attach. Are you familiar with this attachment? If so what do you think?

I maintain a 1000' private road using nothing more than power box blade (think 6' wide, carbide-tipped, "rototiller") aka "Harley Rake". I have a 10'-wide road (motor) grader--and I don't even use it!

You need to "fluff" up the gouged areas and the area before and after it for a good, long-lasting repair. Otherwise, what will happen is through tire-jounce, the areas before and aft will get pounded as they hit the edges of the formerly filled in hole. Then you'll get a washboard effect and/or the filled in hole will not be as hard packed and hold water which will splash out and remain a hole---forever. For comparison, my neighbors on the other sister private road who used to pay me to maintain their road (and don't now) had holes 4-6' long and 6 inches deep. Mine---nice and flat. Ahhhhhhh!

That snow was sorta funny as it started as wet snow and then temperture droped and ended as lighter dryer stuff but as you could see there was about a foot and half of it and the tractor has no problem handling it with that big Fisher plow . We build the adaptors to hook Fisher plows to John Deere Tractors that have the QD Bucket set up. We are also getting into building them for Kabotas with QD FEL arms as well. And dont worry we get plenty of wet snow here as well at times. Good luck with your tractor it sounds like a beauty!

Mine made that kind of sound the other evening when I was letting the wife take the new BX2350 for her first testdrive. She leaned forward to bump up the engine speed /hand throttle and the seat switch shut the engine down- but it made that jakebrake kind of noise as is was sputtering to a stop-- smoked a little too.

I have a commercial snowplowing business and bought my tractor with plowing in mind and also being able to use the FEL for snow removal. I took one of my older 8' Fisher blades with a foil on top and converted it to fit the tractor. Here is how i did it and made it work. First, I cut all the pistons and frame work off so that I just had the blade to deal with. I then had a fabricator duplicate my quick disconect setup that is on my bucket and carry it over onto the plow blade. I dont have all the extra weight and the plow is much closer to the tractor which helps with balance. I can go from bucket to plow in about 30 seconds. I then had sides welded on the plow to make it a pusher blade. It worked absolutely flawless all winter long. I put 145 hrs on this setup this winter just plowing !! It cost me about 300.00 to do this setup. You dont have any capabilities of a 4 way plow, but I prefer the push snow this way as you take a full 8' of snow as opposed to angling the snow and doubling your pile every few runs

Thanks for reminding. I hired people re-dig all the old ditchs, about 5000 feet in Feb. They use PC-200 done the jobs very quick. And built 3 fifteen feet cross pipe bridges. Looks the drain issue under control now.

Pinebush = neighbors. Markpee since I cleaned mine with penetrating oil drained well bench tested several times it has not failed me. I did pay alot of attention to the "O" rings. had about 900 hours when acted up and am at 250 or so since cleaning. TO CHEAP to buy new UNLESS it really puts me in a bad spot.

I have 2005 990 with vertical stack and when wind is right you get fumes back in your face. I had 790 before this with down spout left front exhaust and never had fumes coming back, they seemed to funnel under the tractor.I called dealer to see if I could get down spout for the 990,just waiting on return call.Yes you would have to refit side panel.Hope this helps. Compared with ours, paddy tines are usually longer, more delicate, and compound-curved. They look sort of like little water-wheels, designed to spin above our standard 540 to plant and to froth the water and mud. (That's why tractors designed for use over there have so many PTO speeds.) Most American tines are symmetrical (you can sometimes reverse them), paddy tines directional. <br>

It won't be a paddy tiller if it was made in North America or if it was imported within the past decade or so. <br>

I'm not saying a paddy tiller won't till your garden soil, but that you should know it was designed for a different application.
