We have a newer Gator but think rear suspension would be great. Would the engine and drive sytem move together or how would the belt tension work for the variable drive? kt

If you have to access the doors from the outside this will not work but if you are opening from the inside you could hinge a board on the bottom of the door that you let flop on the floor with the door are closed. If an issue you could place a small latch to hold it up when you open the door. Or if you open from the inside of the door, there are latchs that pull the door to the building that will give you room to clear the seals when sliding but seal when you lcok the latches. Those work about like chain binder does. kt

yooperpete, do they still use plotters? I thought they had ink jets now that were less. I have a son in law who draws house plans and he was able to go with a large ink jet for less than plotter is my understanding. Have not seen his printer as it is not in his office so it may not handle large enough paper for you. He is using like 2 by 3 feet sheets I think for house plans. kt

A point on Dell I did not know and do not like: I had an extended warranty on a Dell with Dell. Called by Dell and was placed on my Dell charge account with all paperwork showing Dell. So the extended warranty was Dell right as that is who I called and they handled the claim and so forth. Turns out was not Dell's extended warranty. They sell the rights to others to call their purchasers using Dell's name and charge accounts and so forth. I did not like that at all. To me that is terrible misleading. Ended up causing a major problem for me as the warranty company who then contracted with a local tec (read not an employee) had no control over what he did or did not do. Allowed who I thought was a Dell employee to take on work he was not qualified for that cost me a lot. To which Dell said sorry and so did the warranty company. As I told them each of your present all of this as Dell to me which Dell told me they understood but it was not all Dell. What bull crap. No Dell for me. kt

oldned, did it act this way before you tried operating it with the valve closed? or has it been long enough you are not sure?

Have you looked to be sure there is nothing binding in the linkage or a little limb or such in there, have you tried oiling the linkage, have you checked the fluid level, if your tractor has power steering or Hydro trans are they operating normally or they slow or jerky? kt

I have zeroed in on a Harmon pellet fireplace insert to replace the old Earthstove wood burner.

I am getting tired of buying "guaranteed seasoned" firewood that won't burn. I have four cords of almond sitting in the yard right now that I can't use until next winter. PIA.

The Harmon insert isn't cheap, but when compared to $3.25/gallon propane it is a bargain.

Anybody wanna buy some firewood, cheap?

Everyone gave good advise regarding use of kerosene to prevent jelling. I have used Coleman Lantern fuel in machinery to cut the jelled condition but, you don't want to put it in filters full strength. It has worked by just
pouring in the fuel tank and waiting.

Anyone know a ball park good price for a 2003 John Deere 595x 4x4 diesel. Pretty much a big lawn mower. It has the click hitch in the back, power flow bagger and a 54" deck.<br>

I shot on a ROTC pistol team in college. After college, I attended good self defense training programs since I was in a job at risk for obtaining a 45 caliber nostril. Over the years, my weapon has been very helpful four times. The first time was on a quail hunt when a feral sow with piglets started to disembowel my Brittany spaniels. A 9mm to the brain ended that. The second and third time a hand on a licensed concealed holstered weapon and good training avoided an assault. The fourth was this last spring when a 5 foot diamondback let me get to close and a .40 S&W got me out of a jam. The training is just as important as the weapon. Recognition and avoidance of trouble is important but having the skills to deal with it is paramount. I believe Capt. Woodrow F. Call said it best,"It's better to have it (gun) and not need it than to need it and not have it."

If you are still having this problem, it is most likely something called the "shift clutch collar". John Deere sells a kit for this. Call your local john deere dealer and mention it to him. I am about to buy then kit, think it is about $100. In the mean time, stretch a bunjee cord along the floor board to keep the shiter down in forward.

Hi, I am planning a new barn for this summer's project and you like to get some opinions. I found a site (Menards) that sells kits for pole barns and found a design that looks like it would work well for what I need. It's primary purpose will be equine. We just have two horses but really need a better place for them to get out of the weather. The kit is for a 36' x 45' with 12' high by 12' wide sliding doors on each end. Three stall doors will open directly to the 7 are pasture. I will be building this my self along with the help of my older brother who used to do this for a living. I plan on keeping the floor some type of gravel/sand. What can I expect to pay for the excavation work? It will be built in an open field with a mild slope to it so it would have to built up to avoid water problems. Has anyone built something like this?

chris...Just a thought....how long do you intend to use the barn, 24/7 and does in need to be heated 24/7 in winter or just when you are in it. I have a gas furnace in my house but i heat my house 24/7 in winter with an add on wood furnace. It blows out max (160,000) btu and gets my house 70-73 no problem even at 10 below or so( I heat 5600 sq ft). My main furnace will kick on at 66 degrees or whatever i set it to. You can also add on a water jacket to heat water and run through a heat exchanger to heat whatever else you wanted.

Subaru seems to have confused the Outback model with the WRX in their product planning. The Outback model has a raised suspension for additional ground clearance, why would they put low profile tires on it?<br>

Gentlemen,Thanks for all the info I took the seat off the tractor and soaked it good with PB and used white grease after soaking 48 hrs and some tapping alot of red rust came out of all the pivot points.Seams to be better on the back side.I would say the person before me was a little smaller in size.Thanks again for the input. By the way do they make a tooth bar for the LA463 bucket new or used or is that something you have to get from Kubota??
