While I'm on the subject of snow, I've heard a couple people mention OFA Hakkis chains. Can anybody steer me in the right direction. They look pretty beefy. I have not had any luck finding duo rings for my size so these look t be the next best option.

Sorry if my post was misleading. I don't have a cab per se; but just a poly roof, full windshiled, and rear screen. And anytime the lower portion of the windhsield is closed dust deposits all over the seats, operator and instrument cluster.

We just bought a fairly cheap fridge for the garage as our old one finally played out. Our garage, while not technically heated, the furnace is in there, rarely gets below 35 degrees.

We found that the freezer in the new fridge was only getting to about 15 degrees when it should easily get to zero or below. Called the seller of the fridge and they said the new, cheaper fridges have poor compressors installed in them and they should not go in unheated spaces. He also said the more expensive models that have separate controls for the freezer and the refrigerator area are the only ones that should be used in unheated areas.

Not sure if he is blowing me off or not, but something to consider.

I looked and found 2 kits 1 for B4 SN# and 1 after SN#.

JD Parts showed them as invalid on my system but that does not mean anything their systems are different.

The Kit#'s are: BM20583 and LVB25568 Side plate mounting kits.

If you have no luck, I'd jump up and down on their counter, I'll look you up the individual parts in the JD Parts area. They should be able to do better than I can.

The on spots are cool, but $2000 is pretty steep. It is my understanding that the system comes with the comprssor- but I could be wrong about that.

belgiant , have you thought about making your own chains? Where you are having clearence problems you could substitute smaller links or cable. There are a lot of advantages to making your own- you can make them as mean as you need them to be, you can add or subtract traction, you can do basically whatever you want as long as you don't run out of shackles. They don't have to be DOT approved, and if you break one, big whoop.

Well, after getting advice that I didn't need one if I knew how to use my box blade, I decided to go the cheapest route...seems to be a good decision so far. I bought a cheap $229 six-foot rake from Atwoods. Since I'm not using it much...I'd do it again.

The off-road is the same low sulfur stuff. You just get the dye and an additive now. The only place I know of to purchase that product around here would be an oil distributor. But, kerosene can be purchased at the local pump.

As far as the overheating is concerned, I have run my tractors day in and day out in well over 90 degree heat without an issue. One time I was not paying close attention to the screen on my JD 4100 and it overheated due to some cottonwood seeds. No damage but the red flashing idiot light came on.

I like my Land Pride with the adjustable top hook. So far I haven't had any issues with the bottom pin spacing being any different on various impliments. I've had mine for quite a while so the cost isn't freah in my mind, but a bit over 200.00 seems to ring a bell. Several months ago I saw some Deere literature about some sort of self connecting PTO shaft to go along with their I-match hitch, but so far have never saw one live and in person. Frank.

In todays-day-and-age unless you are in it full time the extra liability and insurance which one would need, especially in the Northeast sometimes just doesn't warrant going into business for yourself part-time. I could see it where I live, a driveway gets scuffed-up or broken slightly the owners of the driveway will come after the guy with the plow, etc.

I would like to thank everyone that posted suggestions about my issue. Good news my issue was just a bad injector that was injecting streams of fuel instead of atomizing it. Put new tips on all the injectors and had the pop off pressure reset and I am back in business. I love both of my Belarus tractors and they are built for easy repair. Most oil leaks (seeps) can be fixed easy with the correct O-ring or snugging up a hose clamp. :)

Yes, the Grand L30 Series is discontinued and the only ones still available are what is in dealer stock. On the other hand, those dealers who do still have them are going to want to move them, so that they can replace them with Grand L40's. If you can find one, you shoud be able to get a good price. Just a thought.

11 gallons per minute is the minimum output required to power a 3-point splitter efficiently. For those of us who own tractors under 40hp, this is not the best option.

However, there is another solution available, which is to mount a pump on the PTO shaft of the tractor, and then use the splitter on the 3-point hitch.

This requires a separate hydraulic reservoir mounted to the splitter, containing about 20 gallons of hyd. fluid. (The reservoir should hold twice as much oil as the output flow from the pump, in order to give the oil time to cool before being recycled through the pump and cylinder.)

The PTO pump, alone, will cost upward of 400 dollars, making this option too expensive for most people.
