I recently purchased an IT Mitsubishi Service Manual that covers models to 300D. Does anyone know of a more specific reference book I might find ? Would the info cover my 372D close enough to rely on? <br>

I'm beginning work on my old MT372D, purchased new in 1988. So, I need to find a good wiring diagram for this model tractor. <br>
My immediate problem is with power not making it to the glowplugs. Continuity is there, and the suspect Ignition switch seems to be okay. Problem seems to lie somewhere in the wiring (like a short or bad relay, etc.) in between.<br>

I'm in North Dakota, USA. I'm about 35 miles from the Canadian line -- 40 miles northwest of Devils Lake, North Dakota.....about halfway between Minot and Grand Forks, but north of Hwy 2 about 20 miles.

Your name caught my eye immediately, as you have the same name as the man who helped establish the Swiss Federation -- Werner Stauffacher, of Schwyz.

Yes.....the hoses on your backhoe are hooked up wrong. I'm only slightly surprised that the dealer didn't try things out before delivering it to you. That's the world we live in today, and I don't like it one bit.

Your loader valve should be mounted so that the handle of the valve is angled at about 45 degrees toward your right shoulder. (See the photo of my tractor, below) If you turn the valve so that the handle is vertical, you'll have a difficult time moving your arm far enough ahead to lower your bucket, without also scooting ahead in your seat.

The loader valve should be placed so that you can easily reach the knob with your right hand, without extending your arm very far.

Pushing down on the knob, or pulling it toward you, should raise the loader. Pushing the knob ahead should lower the loader. Moving the knob to your left should curl the bucket upward. Moving the knob to your right should dump the bucket.

I look forward to having further discussions with you, as I greatly admire the Swiss for minding their own business, as the U.S. originally intended to do. We failed, but the Swiss have maintained a steady, constitutional course.

You're right. It is possible to post a photo. I wonder why so few people take advantage of that option? It's difficult to sell any item without showing a photo of the thing.

Sorry- you asked specifically about the price- but before I say anything that you could take me to court over-

Does this machine have a hydrostatic transmission? If it does, it's worth about $1500.

With hydro, tractor and mower I would expect to see it listed at $10,500 to $12,000. I'm guessing a new back hoe would be betweent $5000 and $6500. So yes, I think It's a fair price- probably even a good price.

Christmas is coming. Somebody in your neighborhood has a riding mower that is on its last leg....so-to-speak.

I believe if you were to offer those tractors for sale right now, they'd quickly be claimed by somebody who has a very expensive lawn mower on his wish list. You'll likely make that person very happy, by saving him a lot of money at a time when heating bills are extremely high.

For your needs I'd suggest 20-30 rather than 30-40 HP. A 20 will do everything a 40 will do, just a bit slower. Diesel is costlier than gas but cheaper and better in the long run. There are no "lemon" tractors (maybe some Chinese excepted) so especially for a new user brand is less important than a nearby and helpful dealer.

I am new to this forum. I am looking to buy a Belarus 525 from and older gentleman here in Jersey. The tractor only has 200 hours on it, and I am looking to use it for row crop work.<br>
My one concern is about the hydraulics, I have seen a lot of posts saying that they leak alot. Has anyone had any luck fixing them? I have an organic certification on my land, and it could be a problem if inspectors see leaking oil all over the place.<br>

The Mrs. just bought three new mattress/box spring thingys for the getaway house. I heard her and the lady at the furniture store going on about "Pillow Tops" what ever they are while I kind of snoozed in a nearby recliner. I don't know what brand, what size, even what color, but ours sure is comfy. The check I wrote would have bought a pretty nice major power tool tho. Maybe that's why I was cranky. Frank.

Why don't you use your MM PTO by making a shaft with 2 pillow blocks mounted to the weight holder in front and to the frame just back of the front axle. Then a reg. Pto shaft from MM PTO to it. Then all you need is some brackets to mount a MM mower after you put wheels on it. You can also buy Left or right hand blades. The MM mower has the right gearing in the gear box for the 2000rpm MM PTO.

Forget the transit which takes two people and use a laser level with an electronic indicator and grade stick. Much easier, quicker, and takes only one person. If you're using a non-self-leveling type, set it up in the center of the barn site. If self-leveling, set it anywhere out of the way. Non-self-levellers are not as accurate over the loong distances and require the operator to have really good eyesight to set the bubble levels.
