All the love aside, I think what Frank is getting at (unbeknownst to him that he's is in favor of hydros) is that locomotives (I'm aware of) use a diesel engine to drive a generator which the drives an electric motor(s) albiet through a drive train. Maybe Frank, pun intended, got his wires crossed and was really thinking of hydros and not purely electric.

That said, this goes back to my post here about semi trucks using a hydrostatic system to replace the transmission. And to extrapolate that, into mainstream Ag equipment doing away with gear transmissions.

I'm thinking that if we were having this conversation a hundred years ago, Frank would have been saying vehicles of the future would be riding on wood and steel wheels and be steam-powered and always will be.

This really bothers me but I might have to agree with EW on this one. The arch tube frame and the overall design are Allis all the way, but even the rear wheels are different,(pressed steel/the thin cast iron originals). Back when those were produced there were two real strong Allis dealers, one east of me who's family is still in business as an Agco dealer and another one west a few miles, gone now, but they sold quite a few of those most of which are still in grandpa's shed somewhere. One of those folks had one out this summer that I looked at, so in my dim little memory of the one I saw, the wheels, front and rear, and the fenders aren't Allis, but the rest???? Frank.

Does anyone know what kind of tractor this is

After tilling and getting the linkage area very dusty and dirty I wash off the linkage and lube it. This fixes the problem...

Looking at your concern about the strobe effect, can happen. Can drive you bonkers depending on the light and how close to them the blades are and such.

Depending on what you are trying to do and the design of the room and decor and such you may have other options than a ceiling fan. Is it possible you have a built in duct within the interior walls such as space between studs in which you could place a fan to pull the hot air down by placing a grill in top of the wall and the bottom of the same set of studs. With the height of your wall it probably is not open the full length. There is always more than one way to skin a cat or so I was always told but who wants to know even one way to skin a cat? kt

I just took a look at them. IMHO I would rent a mini over owning that unit. I am not making any judgment as to quality but simply stating that I do not like the two seat arrangements and the climbing over the thing.

I did not put a hoe on my 2910 for that very reason. That and I wanted a bit more hoe :)

Unfortunatley, I already have the equipment I need for building trails- It was picked out for me in the form of my tractor collection. I have 6 miles of trails, which consist of crushed granite and portland mixed together and laid about 4 inches deep, 6- 10 feet wide. About 1/4 of the trails are below grade, which was a really cheap, fast and dumb way to build them- horrible from a maintenance stand point. We had some heavy rains here last spring and early summer (record setting- 16 inches in about a month) anyways, I estimate I lost about 50% of my crushed graninte. The granite was trucked in from 100 miles away, and then you throw in the portland- your talking about a very expensive trail base.

So, I have been replacing it with limestone crusher finds. Much cheaper, permiable, and easy to spread. About 1/8 the cost of the granite. I haul the stuff with my 5103, and then spead it with a Bobcat 175. Hauling is the hard part. What I really need is a Pro-Gator.

I agree that the new Superduty is U-g-l-y. And even more so are the new Ford E-series vans especially the blacked- out grilles. What freakin' abortions they are. But this is what happens when the automotive "bean counters" won't put money back into R&D and the designers.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the replies, you gave me some darn good info that I logged in the back of my brain box.
The dealer felt that I accidentally bumped the 3 point lever putting it in the raise position. I probably did it while turning in the seat to back up. Apparently that put a load on the "priority" hydraulic system. That resulted in oil not being available for "other" less important functions. He checked everything else out and all were OK. I got the tractor back and it's working just fine. Needless to say I secured the levers for the 3 point and other PTOs so I don't unknowingly bump them to the wrong position. (at least now I'll be smarter in what to do) Thanks again.

When I originally made the post I was trying to decide what to do about getting a front blade for the BX1500 I had on order.
Found out the 54'' blade for the BX1500 is a manual angle, but I wanted a Hyd. angle.
Wound up getting the 60'' Hyd angle blade for A BX2230 or Bx23 and the dealer installed it on the BX1500.
Works fine so far.

Hi Andrew, the SD2003 was released for the Japanese market only and Shibaura, like Kubota, do not and will not support used domestic tractors exported to western countries, by fly-by-nighters, so they wont even supply there distributors/dealers with parts or info.

I believe, if my memory serves, that the New Holland TC24 or TC25 Boomer is the closest US release model to the SD2003, it's not a Ford 1710 which is a lot older and only about 17hp as opposed to yours which is about 23hp in Japanese terms 24 or 25 in US inflated hp.

What is your engine model number?? eg H843, S773 ????

I have a dead hypertherm 600. Sounds as though the exact thing happened to mine. crossed the duty cycle threshold and cooked it. Took it to my welding house and they quoted me 1360 to fix it, 1500 for a new one. the parts required list looked to be very similar to yours. If you would be interested in rebuilding another board, please let me know. I know it can be fixed, I just do not have the expertise in circuit board repair. if it involved wrenches, we'd be ok. Thanks.

When we mount any kind of electric controls we put it up above the 3pth and remote levers, in ours there is a small steel strip in the window opening, on the back is a couple of metric nuts welded in place, it forms a very secure mounting spot and is really handy.

We, as Art mentioned, run a heavy wire from the battery to a convenient spot to mount a relay in a weather proof box, then power the trigger circuit and switch from a hot wire that already exists in the factory wiring right next to the bracket I mentioned earlier.

Hi, there is no fuse box on a B6200 but under the dash you should find 2 inline plastic fuse holders hanging about.
It is possible that its just a loose or broken connection, start at the battery and work your way to the ignition switch. Alternately check the clutch/starter safety switch, ignition lights should still come on you just won't be able to turn it over.

On Ebay there is a company that sells complete cat 0 lift kits. Their name is Redland Hill. They manufacture all kinds of hitch equipment for tractors and garden tractors. Do a search for garden tractors then hitches, you should find them there.
