I bought a used Kubota B7510 with a LA 272 loader it had 87 hours when purchased. I had the dealer add a Woods BH6000 backhoe. Everything was fine until I was doing some backfilling with the front loader. After taking a scoop of dirt I went to lower the front loader and it wouldn't come down. I could lower it by going to the float position.
The problem continued and I stopped working. Checking further, the backhoe stabilizers would not raise and the boom would not come back after I swung it to the right.
Other functions were OK, front bucket curled and rolled etc. The dealer picked it up then called me saying everything is working OK. Has anyone seen this before?
Any suggestions??

Did the dealer top off the hydraulic fluid after he installed the hoe? If not, it might have been pump cavitation. Once discovered, the dealer might have just topped it off, and now everything is okay... ....

It sounds like some sort of control valve problem, either that or a quick disconnect fitting or two that were not 100% seated in the female fitting.
I've often seen them just slightly out of position, they looked fine, but would not quite let the fluid past. Your comment about float working would fit this problem since in float position both sides are open to the return line, allowing the fluid to pass the valve in either direction.

With many of the small tractors this might happen just from the three point hitch being put on load by the lever being hit accidently even though unnoticed at the time.
You definitely picked up a draw on the system, might be able to notice a change in the engine rpm's at an idle or a hydraulic hum or increased noise from the system. The load is causing the other components of the tractor to perform with less oil, less performance.
More then once I've seen hydraulic systems that are acting up for a customer cure themselves while being trucked into our stores. Yours should not need to come back but some will again make the trip until the fly wing or small foriegn object is removed from the hydraulic system. ....

I should have mentioned I have put 14 hours on the machine without any problems, so I doubt the problem was from when the dealer assembled it. I didn't notice any change in RPM or unusual noises when the malfunction happened and I don't recall bumping anything. Thanks for your replys. ....

I agree with Art and Murf as I have had both situations happen. The not-quite connected quick disconnects can be sneaky! Usually when it happens you'll hear the relief valve hiss. ....

sir unhook your quick disconnect lines on you loader. sometimes the ball in the end of male fitting stay closed. with your bucket on the ground take all lines off and press the end ball againts floor or side of loader it will release pressure and then plug them back up. that should fix your problem ....

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the replies, you gave me some darn good info that I logged in the back of my brain box.
The dealer felt that I accidentally bumped the 3 point lever putting it in the raise position. I probably did it while turning in the seat to back up. Apparently that put a load on the "priority" hydraulic system. That resulted in oil not being available for "other" less important functions. He checked everything else out and all were OK. I got the tractor back and it's working just fine. Needless to say I secured the levers for the 3 point and other PTOs so I don't unknowingly bump them to the wrong position. (at least now I'll be smarter in what to do) Thanks again.
