Actually the 870,970,and 1070 switched to wet disk brakes. Normally these brakes can be expected to last a very long time. I don't recall ever replacing any since 70 series came out. I would suspect contaminated transmission fluid or improper type of fluid. Wet brakes(and clutches) require fluid that has friction modifiers built in for smooth operation of clutches and brakes. I would recommend changing the fluid and filter. While you are at it, remove the sump screen and see if there is any brake lining material on the screen. If the fluid is contaminated with water or other incorrect fluids, you may need to change the fluid twice to get rid of all contaminants. If you do happen to find brake material on the screen, the final drives need to be removed to access the brakes. There are three brake disks per side and the disks cost around $75 - 80 each. ther are also separator plates that may need replacing at around $40 each. Good luck!

Are you referring to the shaft that comes from the tractor to the mower?

Or, do I have it all wrong? Maybe you are referring to the shaft that's sticking out of the mower's gearbox?

If you need a new PTO shaft coming from the tractor to the mower, you can find a replacement at any Tractor Supply Company, or most other farm supply stores.

If you need the shaft that powers your mower's gearbox, you'll likely be able to find one at most Bearing, Gear, and Drive outlets. However, you'll have to remove it first, so that the dealer can match it up for you.

The gearbox on your mower is most likely an off-the-shelf item. It is used in many different applications, and is (most likely) not specific to the Landpride mower.

I once rented about a 45' Genie tow behind for painting one of my wooden chimneys. I am not comfortable at heights so I got a thrill every time I moved the control when I was up high. A small movement threw me a couple of feet and shook the manlift for a while. Also the unit had to "click" into level using the outriggers after each move and this took me up to one hour. Of course the rental company would not give me anything back for this even though they told me I might have some trouble getting it to settle in to the "level". I have a larger chimney that needs painting and I fear this will require a 60' boom lift.

1) Nothing will happen......until somebody attempts to work on the motor, with the belief that the power is off.

Regardless of any kind of switch/s or how sophisticated, one should always make sure the power is off. That would be the same as replacing something as simple as a light switch.

2) Voltage Feedback is another possibility, which, under certain circumstances, occurs when a motor fails.

Don't know where you're going with this? If the motor fails, it fails regardless of whether this switch is on or off. What if it failed when the switch was on? There should be a breaker in there somewhere.

3) This is more of a safety issue than anything else, but it's also possible that if both lines aren't switched, the owner of the device could be in violation of the law.

This I will have to research but I'm almost certain of the answer. There's literally millions of motors wired with a single L 220v switch. I'll have to get back with you on this one.

The biggest issue facing the homeowner and compact tractor owner is the SHORT length of time the engine will be running.

Frequent starts and short run times are the hardest on any engine -- diesel or gas.

When an engine first starts, there is no oil in the top of the engine. For the first few seconds, the engine runs dry, until the oil pump gets the oil to all the moving parts.

Therefore, try to plan your projects so that you can accomplish many tasks in one day. The less often you start your tractor, the longer the engine will last.

Engine life isn't based so much on the number of hours on it, as it is on the number of starts and short operating periods. In extremely cold weather conditions, engine life will drop dramatically, unless the block is heated. Other parts of the tractor will also see reduced life, unless the tractor's storage building is also heated.

Sounds like you are correct about the valving setup and the 3 point position. I got this tractor from my dad's estate. We used it to dig ditches up at the hunting property. It has had a real, real hard life.

He bought it used (really used) from a guy that mainly loaded manure out of the barnyard. That had a lasting effect on the paint job. I just replaced one of the front tires and while I was at it, sandblasted the rim and painted the rim & wheel to the original paint scheme. Think the contrast of old vs: new even makes it look worse. The grille is gone and a tooth or more is missing out of "High" range so we only use low range. Atleast I don't have to worry about scratching it, so can do anything and go anywhere with it.

Yes, the TZ25DA is a reliable and easy to use tractor. Make sure that you mount and unmount the loader on a flat level surface to avoid toppling the loader. Garden tractor on steroids...be careful, as these things are not toys and with the FEL can weigh as much as a sub-compact car and can overturn. At full throttle you'll have more than enough power with excellent fuel economy. Good purchase at a good price!

I'm putting remote hydraulic on my 05 B7800, off of the front loader PB. Right now it also runs my 3 point. My ? is does the remote valve have to have a PB on it to make the 3 point work?<br>

I'm just a rookie--got my 4320 in the spring too--but I don't think you wanna mash on the pedal there. Since it's not a throttle, you're just asking for a higher gear when you want a lower one, or something like that. Me, I don't use cruise. Some guys swear by the load-match and leave it on all the time; I don't. But then, I don't have a box scraper yet because nobody in mid-Mich seems to have an old one lying around (hint, hint).

What rpm are you running? What happens in low range?

For parts commonality they all are the same size in the grand L-group. Although some cabs have different configurations to just talk size for a few extra sq inches it might just mean more aggrivation later.

Used to drink lots of different Chinese liquor. They use different yeasts to get different tastes from combining different of rices.Japanese and Korean did same thing. They learned from Chinese since Tang Dynasty, 7 Century. They added lots of their own characters after that. Very good too.
