Missed your reply to my first reply. My Kubota is 27 hp. The grass was not wet, but thicker than normal due to above normal rain. Think I pointed out for normal situation my 27 hp handles the 72 RFM fine. Yes in high range and yes running as fast as I want to...maybe 7 or 8 mph. As to how the tip speed compares between MMM and RFM, I have no idea. Never wanted a MMM, like the RFM for reasons someone else posted. The type of grass you have of course will affect it.

So did it run hot with him? Wonder why he said it did not need it? Wonder if he had suspecting the radiator was at least partly clogged and tried it, but had not worked for him? Let us know what you find. Have a great Independance Day

I believe the X4nn, X5nn & X7nn replaced the 4nn series and are stil marketed. They higher hydraulic pressure/volume and options including 4WD, "limited" CAT1 3PH etc.

This may be too late but all else being equal, the JD455 would be my choice. The 22hp Yanmar diesel is simply awesome and I would it expect it would outlast a gas engine offsetting the diference in hours between the two machines. Either way you go, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Actually I don't think we had any moderation for offensive content, just correcting message typos, although there were probably a few of those ridiculous pharmaceutical spam messages in the mix.

It is funny that after we had those periodic rants, it seems that it cleared up on its own. Perhaps implementing the moderation program sent a message that we just were not going to tolerate the jibber jabber anymore!

The size of the generator is really sort of moot.

It is the power driving the generator that in most cases limits what you get out of it.

As a rule of thumb you need, as a BARE MINIMUM, you need at least 2 PTO horsepower (hp) for each kilowatt (Kw) of generator output. Based on that, about the best you could hope for is about 6500 watts from 13 PTO horsepower.

What weight/type oil do you recommend. I have a local NAPA so if you have a type specific to them that would help. <br>

I just paid a visit to tractorhouse.com for a comparison price check.

Hinze Equipment, in Pennsylvania, has one listed just like yours (2002 model) without a belly mower. They've listed it at $14,495 (Hours are not listed....which is rather strange.)

Your BX22 Kubota (with loader, mid-mount mower, and backhoe) should bring about $15,500

The tooth bar is worth about $150

The trailer is worth somewhere between $1400 to $1900

The hitch pins and other goodies are worth about $5 each.

That's a good place to start. Hopefully you don't have this much sunk into it, allowing you to make a few dollars on the sale.

Finding a buyer, provided you're willing to sell for a good bit under the retail value, shouldn't be any problem for you.

I use saddle bags- about $30 at any tack store. They hang over the sides of the hood just over the steering wheel. One side easily fits a tow chain, the other tools and a water bottle. The nylon one I use is water tight, and I attach with velcro so I can drag it inside when needed.

Back to what Earthwrks said, it depends on the cop. I drove a gator for three years on public roads,no lights, no triagle. Even had an unfriendly neighbor call and report me using the road with an un-registered vehicle. When police saw a vice coming out of the reciever hitch, snow plow on the front, and the back end full of tools, well... I never got much more from cops than a "Hey, how does that thing plow?"
But then again, my hair was pretty short and I had a "Hug a Veteran" sticker on the back. Might have been a different story if I smelled like putuli and had dancing bears everywhere.

There are two tabs under the seat, limiting the seat travel forward. I cut them off, and gained almost 2 inches of travel. Works perfect for my wife. Can't see any problems, except it makes the engine kill switch more sensitive. Added a one millimeter shim under the switch actuator.

Oh boy, my new toy was delivered on Saturday. B7610 with FEL and Bush Hog box blade. Dug some holes, filled them in, drove around the yard, hauled some stuff too heavy for me to lift. Wife says I'm like a 3 year old in a sand box! Now to start gathering all the other attachments.

I'd like to know about the blade question, too. I have the same mid-mount mower and am trying to get the most use out of my old blades (I'm not really sure when to say 'enough is enough'). I bought some new blades from my dealer and they look different (haven't actually tried them yet). My belt broke last year and, again, got one from the dealer. Replacing it wasn't as bad as I expected! I'll try and send you the cost and other info when I find it. BTW, have you changed the oil within the mid-mount mower? If so, how often?

When I was is high school I worked in a car dealership and there was a couple of fellows that taught me a lot. On coild weather operation it is interesting that some oils get so thick they are very slow to pour just by putting them in a freezer.

Front wheel assist or mechanical front wheel drive are both one in the same as we commonly call four wheel drive here. Lighter is better under these working conditions and the lower your pounds per square foot are the better! Thats why years ago in the canastota muck land nearby the dozer was a popular method to till with.

Thats why if you could work with a neighber to to see if there are any more difficlut areas to contend with. If it is often wet drainage might help or there might be a different option. There are several makes of light dozers that offer three point hitch as well as independent pto and front blades. Muck doesn't wear tracks like gravel or stone.
