KW; Sorry, I did'nt mean a Home Depot Deere, yes they are a marketing scheme designed by Deere to sell you a very low end mower. When the HD provides no warranty, you go to Deere, who will warranty it, but usually recommend you trade for a better quality mower from them. It must work or they wouldn't keep doing it. What I meant to tell Nisan is that there are a zillion 15-20 year old Deere mowers on dealer lots that were the top dogs in their day that have been thru the shop and can have years of good service still left in them. This time of year dealers can be a lot easier to bargan with than on April first, thay don't want to carry them over till next spring. 99% of the boners of any brand thay trade in get parked out back till the scalper guy with the gooseneck load of old mowers comes around and away they go. I have a TZ which came with a FEL and a Farm King PTO finish mower. One of my properties has a lot of trees that were planted about 30 years ago when the place was originally landscaped so the PTO mower is not very useful. <br>
I am going to buy a MMM but was wondering if there are any other brands that would fit the TZ or am I going to have to pay what the NH dealer wants?<br>

The clutch free-play adjustment is to adjust free play when the clutch is disengaged, it's not used to pull the clutch into the disengaged position. It sounds more like the clutch return spring is broken or missing or there are internal clutch problems.

Does John Deere sell a bracket adapter for my 70 loader that will allow me to use the new JD quick attach buckets, pallet forks etc?? Or do I have to look at aftermarket suppliers?? If so which is best??

Bill; My Dad had an old saying that went. "Quality is like buying oats. If you don't mind getting the oats after they have been thru the horse, they come a bit cheaper that way". I'm sure your Bx24 has a standard catagory one three point hitch and a standard 540 RPM power take off, so that opens up lots of tiller possabilitys for you. I'm not familliar with Kubota brand tillers, but their tractors are top drawer so I would expect their tillers to be the same. I lean real heavy toward Land Pride brand products, I've had their mowers, tillers, box blades, landscape rakes, etc. for years. A bit pricey, but top drawer. I'm on my second Land Pride tiller, the first one I sold at a weak moment to a man who offered me more than I paid for it and it was three years old. Nuff from me. Frank.

Thanks to all. Based on what I've heard I will stay away from tapping into the well electric for now. I will probably run a "well" pitched underground pvc pipe with heavy duty extension cord as originally planned.

Not suposed to go our yet, but only three small steps from the kitchen to the garage, a husky handrail on each side. the new one has a ROPS frame that makes it super easy to get on, just grab a front and rear ROPS frame with each hand. That was another BIG selling point for me. The Doctors all are at the far ends of the golf course on a beautiful Saturday like today, they'll never know I did it. So I think the Mrs. will be the pilot, me begging her to slow down, just like she drives the car.

Crunch; Now that's more like it. And you've did what so far today? Vacummed the whole house, the supper dishes, got biscuts in the oven and the sausage gravy in the skillet before you wake the Mrs? Now you know that is my normal routine on Saturday mornings, on weekday mornings I do twice that before the Mrs. is up. This is almost like the local coffee shop, first liar don't have a chance. Yawn.

Got the 60. So far it does not seem a problem. Now for mynext venture I need to get the back tire rims broken to add the Rim Guard I bought. Hopefully I can get just a little broken so it wont't be too tough to reseal them after adding the stuff. I bought some from a John Deere dealer not too far from home. My Kuboda dealer uses wiper fluid but is out and cannot pump the Rimgard for me. One fellow there is concerned about resealing the rims and another says no swet, not sure how it will go. The deck is much easier to install uninstall than the backhoe. Not that the backhoe is all that tough but realignment can be a hassle and take a varied amount of time depending on your luck (And I assume added experience with it.

Thanks for the seat info. Got the tractor yesterdy. Great. Had a small concern since it kept stalling when backing up a hill. It was not a problem (Sort of) it was just that I was leaning too far forward to the wheel and releasing the kill switch under the seat.

Agriman, I don't quite agree with your Boomer lineage explanation based soley on my inspection of the '02's at the time. I was told the Boomers (and the former NH website showed it too at the time) were ONLY plastic-hooded and fenders versus the plain-jane, all metal hood and fenders older looking TC30 (with no letter suffix like XXXX-D or DA) of the day. The TC30 was many thousand $ lesser too. The Bomers were being marketed to the the higher end user versus the TC30 which was offered to someone who really didn't need or couldn't buy the Boomer.

That Walker machine looks really nice with the deck way out front and unobstructed like that. Fairly large wheels also. My wife didn't want me to get a zero turn so that she could use it also (although she hasn't used it so far). Instead I bought a JD LT190 with a 16" turning radius. I'm sure the zero turn is nicer, but a 16" turning radius is very tight and for 2 acres or less is quite adequate.
