Thanks for the quick response. There are a couple of stumps that will need a semi pulling and a dozer pushing. (3ft+)
But most are 18" or less. After that, I have an easement of about 2k ft., fence work, move some rock around, ...etc.

I just like doing the work myself as much as possible. I like the work but my arms are tired after cutting all that firewood. Do you think something in the 30-35 range would be better?

Hi! JD-955HST hard to start,after it OK.I dont no where problem.Je ne sait pas ou est le problem.J'ai changer filtreur air,fuel filter.J'ai aussi vider le reservoir a diesel.Peut etre un peu d'eau dans le reservoir.Je n'est pas r�gler le probleme.

This is a follow-up on the low sulfur/off road diesel fuel discussion. This week my Farmtrac 45, upon cranking revved right up to over 2000 rpm and would not respond to the throttle or kill knob. I pushed on a tree to get the rpm down to 500 or so where the kill knob shut the engine off. Later, the engine would not crank at all.

I made contact with the best diesel mechanic in my area who professed to be familiar with the problem. He described a rod inside the injector pump that in the first instance had stuck open and in the next stuck closed. He told me to drain the fuel tank of off-road diesel (and to never use same again), re-fill with regular fuel, which is now ultra low sulfur, add transmission fluid in the ratio of 40 to 1, tap on the injector pump housing, and crank her up.

It worked and the machine started running fine.

The tractor had sat unused for a couple of months, which apparently caused the problem to manifest itself. Anyway the tractor is under warranty until September of this year.

the left front wheel came loose at the knuckle on my ck20 today. i tried to remove the housing but could not get it off. there is one bolt on the axel housing does anyone know if thats the one to remove to separate the two pcs.

Tks for info on tire pressure amounts. I'm not sure about the technique for inflating the tires. Wehn I try to check the pressure with a gage, I get fluid in the gage. From another post on this website, I apparently need a gage that designed to operate with filled tires. OK.

Is there a secret to inflating the tires? Given that I am forcing air into the tire when I inflate it, as opposed to letting air (and fluid) out of the tire when I check the pressure, may I presume that a standard air compresser will work, and that I need not worry about fluid getting in to the compresser?

Got it dislodged, quickly put it back. Definitely as flimsy as everyone indicated. Had my local dealer put the wheels on their widest settings. Looks like that made the unit much more stable on slopes. got the unit in the local dealer for the once over and sofar no surprises.

Thanks for the input guys. I do 95% of the cooking so the range is pretty much for me. My wife is afraid of gas, but we've lived with gas furnaces and hot water heaters since we were married. So I don't really understand the issue.

A couple of years ago, we upgraded our pots & pans to a nice set of Analon. That made a big difference in cooking. That was on an older GE basic electric range. So I'd like to step up with this new range. I should measure the length of gas line and get a quote on what it will cost to have gas run to the range spot.

I hate cleaning the stove so I like the idea of better temp control w/ gas or the easier cleaning of the smoothtop.

KT - yeah, got a house finally. Long & painful saga. But only 1 acre. I'm waiting for spring to see if keeping teh 4310 makes sense. I really missed it this February when I suddenly had to clean a driveway coated in ice because it wasn't maintained since the house was empty until we bought it. That sucked. I may go get the tractor tomorrow if I can get the garage cleaned up enough to find space for it.

Bob check your owners manuel for the correct tire pressure, or check the tire itself, it should show the maximum pressure.

I have a YM1500 that is leaking diesel into the crankcase oil (milky color) and blowing diesel smelling oily substance from the pump overflow (?) tube that comes out just above the injection pump and is open to the ground. The discharge occurs when the engine is warm and rpms are up, say greater than 1500 or so. Also have no power, 3pt hydraulics bog the engine down to the point of killing it, etc.<br>

I am guessing I have a problem with the injection pump seals to the point it needs to be rebuilt. How easy is it to rebuild the pump if I wanted to do it myself, or should I pull the pump and take it to a diesel shop? Is the rebuild kit, assuming there is one, available and for how much?<br>

Not terribly mechanically inclined but willing to save a few bucks maybe and get this tractor running again.<br>

On Case/NH tractors there is a 12VDC 10 Amp power outlet under the seat. I hooked up two 55 watt Bosch driving lights to the ROPS (one facing forward and the other facing aft (behind). These lights were fabulous this past winter, I have no idea how one can operate without the extra lighting...it's a must have.

It's been along time since I bought a tractor my last one was a simplicity 7116. I looking at a dz22da with a 54inch mower,tiller and a fel. I have 2 acres to mow and the ground is not very level. I also would like to till a 100x 100 area for a garden. I haven't heard a whole lot on how the tz22da are performing and I'm trying to decide between the dz22da and the kubota bx2350.<br>
The only info I've heard was from a dealer that cares both of these tractors and he said that the NH has alot more warrenty work being done it then the kubota but there both good tractors.

I have a WR Long RGB 60 root grapple bucket. It does an awesome job of picking thing up- and I mean just about anything. It's probably been on of the best things that I have brought for my JD 4600.
