Am the proud new owner of a used Kubota BX 2350. The manual that came with the machine is a little short on basics, such as tire pressure, operating RPM, filter/fluid changing, etc. This web site has links to an advertiser of maintenance manuals, but the site does not include the 2350.

I don't want to know how to rebuild the engine--just do user maintenance level work.

Any suggestions on where I might look for help?

b

if you get any info on operating RPM Please Post.
Thanks

AIP--

Tks for info on tire pressure amounts. I'm not sure about the technique for inflating the tires. Wehn I try to check the pressure with a gage, I get fluid in the gage. From another post on this website, I apparently need a gage that designed to operate with filled tires. OK.

Is there a secret to inflating the tires? Given that I am forcing air into the tire when I inflate it, as opposed to letting air (and fluid) out of the tire when I check the pressure, may I presume that a standard air compresser will work, and that I need not worry about fluid getting in to the compresser?

I don't have filled tires but seems to me have the valve stems up in the air to check/fill. Read that tires should only be filled about 75% with fluid. ....

Read the conversation goinig on here on tires, it covers what you are asking very well.

As to rpms, some of that depends on the type of transmission you have whether a hydrostat or manual and what you are doing. Normally if you are doing any thing that uses the PTO (power take off) you run at the necessary RPM's to obtain the 540 pto speed which is normally shown on the tach.

As to pull type loads you will need to find a balance between the ground speed for the load and the rpms necessary for the load. The ground speed is probably most affected by the gear if manual rather than the rpms. The rpms give you the power. For pulling I try to use a gear that does not strain the engine or if it does very seldom.

Congratulations to each of you on your tractor. kt
