Hi,just a new member with a question on the 300 loader on a 790 tractor. Does anyone have one that has loosen up on the tractor??? also I think I read where somebody has made more hyd power for the 7 hoe or a diffrent pump??? By the way 790 is 2006 with 40 hours on it.

The gas station by me just started dispensing the ultra low sulfer diesel. I've always used power service in my diesel - is this enough - or should I be adding something like the Schaeffer product as well? (I've got a JD 4110 built in 2000).

My 7200 is hard to start when cold or after it has ran a long time. Another thing that help it start was pulling the comp and fuel lever. When the exhaust was clear drop bothj knobs at the same time.

It wont engage if both wheels are going the same speed. When you hold it down you will feel a little extra pedal movement as it engages. . You also must NOT use it when turning

Oliver; I think that will work just fine. I've heard of people plugging them in thru a timer so you don't have to go out in the cold to plug them in too. It may take a heavier duty timer than you plug a lamp into, I don't know much about that, better ask someone who knows more about it than I do. Yes, we have finnaly gotten out of our two week strech of below zero mornings too. Keep warm. Frank.

My perferred way is: bucket on ground (warm garage) jack under drawbar, drap over tires hook at back. Run a while and retighten.

Out doors drap over tires drive forward hook at back drive and retighten.

Kenneth, I think you will find it is Cryptococcal Meningitis.

It is contracted by inhaling the spores of the Crypotoccus Neoformans fungus, which is very common in both soil and bird droppings. Luckily it is not very common and usually does not affect anybody who has a healthy immune system.

It is however another very good reason to wear a dust mask when the situation warrants it.

Ontario, no you won't burn it out as long as you're careful, if you get a little too ham-handed about it you can ruin anything, but if you are gentle you'll be fine.

If you have access to a welder, or someone who can weld for you, you can make up a jeep (or dolly) to move rocks and logs around, with that even a little BX wil move a good-sized rock no problem.

Heating is only half of the equation, depending on where you live, temperature outside, etc.

You can heat the inside of building but if the temps outside are low enough you'll get condensation buildup in no time, especailly in all-steel building--on the lesser end wood-and-shingle.

Proper insulation will get you more for your heating dollar and comfort level.

The floor is a big contributor to condensation too so it can't forgotten too. Where I'm from we put down 2-4 inches of blue styrofoam under the entire footer and floor as our frost level is 42"

But all this is lost if your doors aren't insulated.

SG: Those torpedo or salamander heaters you spoke of are not good to use indoors as part of their heat product is exhausted as carbon monoxide, which you breathe.

Seriously though, the only time I have had a problem starting the Cummins was when the fuel gelled (forgot to put in Power6). Luckily I don't have that headache no mo'.

If the noise is a growling or laboring sound, could be drive line bind-up. The first thing I'd look at is tire inflation and secondly if the tires are at the rated diameter or more accurately proper circumference. If one or more tires is out of spec. drive line bind up will occur. It sounds much worse on hard surfaces, yet hardly existent on muddy surfaces where the tire(s) can slip alleviating bind up.

Huckmeat; Thanks for the report on the machine shop end of Grizzly. I've already made up my mind to buy the Jet/Powermatic sander not only from Murfs reply, but from finding some local Grizzly owners, all pretty negative, nuff said on the sander.In anticipation of retirement I started shopping for some machine shop equipment three or four years ago, I have very little machine shop experience, I always had the desire, but never the time. A good friend of mine about my age just retired as a machinist from a local mfg. co. He told me he would be glad to trade machine shop training for furniture shop training, that's his retirement dream, I was tickled pink with his offer. Anyway about three years ago I bought a new Jet GH 1340W lathe with a AKGHW taper attachment, I've never used it, being the friend was ofering his training service I decided to get a milling machine also. I studied the Grizzly G9901 9X42 then contacted a local tool and die company who deal in only Bridgeport machines who offered me a like sized rebuilt Bridgeport with a waranty with power feed for about the same money. So after all the info I think I'll go with the Bridgeport. Thanks again. Frank.

Got the spring sale flier from the local Deere dealer a couple days ago. There showing a new model Gator, the XUV. Supposed to have more power. 30 MPH top speed, and a different rear suspension. I might be temped to trade my HPX if they would have power steering on the new one. The steering on an HPX is kinda Gorilla type. Anybody seen one yet?

I'm not familar with your machine. But I do have equipment with hydrostats. I'd check if the linkage has too much total joint play. A little lost motion here, a little there can add up. I would disconnect whatever goes into the pivot that is part or closest to the hydraulic pump's swash plate---this is what controls direction and speed. Inspect for wallowed out mounting hole or boss or a broken attaching/locking pin for the linkage at the place. Inspect the linkgae side too for the same conditions. Jack it up with the wheels off the ground and the fronts chocked for safety. Start 'er up and see if you can replicate the go-pedal's action of changing the swash plate inputs by turning it by hand (it shouldn't take a lot of effort. If you can't get better results going directly to the pump's directional source (the swash plate pivot), I can't imagine what it could be---the pump/motor is fairly simple. These piston pumps are fairly simple and straight-forward, so if it works in one direction it should work in the other.

I'm missing the country living already. Been in my 1 acre subdivision house for 2 weeks. I miss the old country place really bad. Sigh.

I grew up in the burbs but enjoyed the last 4 years in the country. I never minded the smell. But then I was hitting up people for manure for the garden. Best fertilizer their is and nothing beats the taste of fresh picked veggie or melons straight from the garden.

It was lots of coolant. Assumed it might be a internal crack, Brother had already checked head gasket. Did not know if engine had sleeves...<br>

It has wet sleeves. The top o-ring on #1 was completely deteriated. The 2nd o-ring was tuff shape. Leak is there.<br>

Pulled #1 and #2 pistons and sleeves just to make sure no crack between cylinders.<br>

#1 piston is scored pretty badly sleeve looks ok enough just to hone. New piston and rings needed.<br>

He has a IT manual it leaves alot to be desired but it is a ok reference.<br>

my bx23 was a repo that my dealer gave me a very good buy on. the bx22 was bought from the same dealer last year that i also got a very good cost on. i have had 7 kubotas in the last 3 years. no complaints. i think i have the best dealer and service that can be had. i have done comparisons on line and $8800 seems to be several thousand below what a dealer would ask for this tractor.
