CCA is 670 on the Cabela's battery. Anyone know offhand what the CCA of the stock battery is?

wr5: Unless the officer (DOT) suspects you're making money with it you don't have to stop at the weigh stations. Being overloaded, is another story.

I sue the 2" wide yellow ratchet straps rated at 10,000lb. breaking strength with self-latching, flat (not round wire) S-hooks. The trucker-quality ones have a sewn-in label to verify the strength.

Murf you're right I was confused --sort of. The glorified golf cart does a "loader" that goes 2 feet and lifts 500lb. The ToolCat still seems like a flash-in-the-pan unless you have a lot of money or are a grounds keeper.
But I'm jis' sayin'. (That was for you Murf. :) )

You normally find that the fuel gauge on the tractor does not last as the tank is close to the engine and the vibration takes it out. In my mind the best thing is the cork on a rod. Some companies locate the tank behind the seat which likely helps.
The dealer just changed the wrong thing. It normally is the sender, but can also be the gauge. I am sure he will get it, just be patient. The Deere are as good as most and the dealers tend to be a little better than average, don't worry.

I will be most digging out what I call "catch basins". I have a pond with two creeks running into it. Because of a neighborhood built 30 years ago and the new road that was built, I have had erosion. Such that I had 3 feet of fill.
There is a new highway being built next to my property and I had guys dig two different catch basins to catch as much dirt as possible before it gets into the creeks and pond. One catch basine is about 8'W X 6'-8'D X 60-75' long. The other just about 15' round. Once soil gets into creek or pond, there is little that can be done.

The *safest* way to do it is to install a T-fitting and a hydraulic pressure guage in the lift circuit (the cylinders that lift & lower the FEL arms) and place the guage within easy sight of the operator.

Then you can either do the math (not as complicated as you would think) or load test the bucket with known weights and use the pressure readings to tell you EXACTLY how much weight you are lifting (or carrying) at a glance.

I have client who has a gate with a push-button intercom at the road, beneath the push button is a small sign, it reads as follows;

"The driveway is long, I can empty the gun and reload before you get to the front door, I also have dogs. Still wish to push the button?"

A number of years ago I had a.... ummm, err, well .... couple of very determined, well-dressed young men who were representing a certain ... "off-beat" religion come up my driveway to convince me that God would like me better if I joined their church. I was holding Deputy Dog in my arms, but had whispered a command to him as they pulled up. It quickly became apparent that he *really* wanted to get to them. One of the young men claimed he liked dogs and I should let Jackson down to meet him. I calmly stated that my lawyer had said I wasn't allowed to do that anymore, especially after what happened "last time".

They left........ quickly.

I pulled the loaded Sunday and after I got the loaded off, I was really able to see the damage to the front end parts. The plastic grill is trashed as well as the mounting for the head lights. The side engine covers were crinkled in the process also from what ever the tractor hit. I was able to order a new grill and head light pieces from the local dealer, however the side engine covers were around $250 each so I will try and fix them. As far as paint, the local body shop supply place says it can match the Kubota paint, a lot less money than the dealer. They suggested to bring in one of the new parts and they can scan it and mix the paint accordinatly.

I am still going to try and find some used parts and thanks guys for the help with some of the possible web sites to try.

The 7800 is an economy version of the 2910, or whatever they call it this year.

Some members on this board bought the 7800 and then found that they really wanted the features that were left off.

One guy even spent a lot of money upgrading to 2910 specs.

You might want to consider spending the extra money for the best features.

3*No but your question sparked a thought that never occurred to me before. I've been looking at it as they put the wrong door handle on it on the assembly line. perhaps in reality it has the correct door handle but they put the wrong lock system on it on the assembly line instead.
Any way you look at it according to the dealer I shopped at there was a screw up during the production of his truck.
4* Wouldn't work because he has to have easy quick access to the next tank when he runs out oxygen in the tank he's using. Same problem with having the tanks in the bed.
5* yes due to the need for quick easy access to spare tanks.
6*Also this would expose the tanks to tampering theft or vandalism.
He don't have to go to this expense and inconvenience when he uses his car so why should he have to put up with it with the truck? Especially if there was a production mistake on his truck!
7*Hate fat headed keys too.
The CC garden tractor I just purchased has them also. I may take a jig saw and trim it down and grind or wire brush off the plastic coating or see if I can get extra keys made with sensible heads on them.

Deere does sell tires and rims, but trust me, you won't like the prices. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted $2500 for a complete set.

It sounds like you might need different front and rear rims and the new turfs.

Look at gemplers.com and you can get a rough idea what rims and tires are available and some concept as to real world pricing.

I don't think gigabit ethernet will be available on wireless for awhile. The MAC address is a (supposedly) unique 48 bit address that identifies each NIC on a network. Originally they were supposed to be unique worldwide but the huge growth of the internet quickly overwhelmed that idea so new tricks were invented to work around the limitation.

EW, The engine is a three cyl Cummins. The problem is th motor mounts. If you call your dealer I believe the have a campaign on them. What happens is they collapse normally by about 50 to 60 hours. So 400 is pretty good. I do not think it will cost any thing to get the upgraded mounts.

I am looking for a b7800 and have contacted three different dealers within 45 miles from where I live. It won't be simple because of my trade in (bx22). Just wanted to know if anyone has been quoted a price with a BH and Loader?

AnnBrush - not to worry. An innovative server of legal papers can always find a way to get to you. I have only been actually "served" papers once. My wife was videotaping a water balloon fight at our local high school before graduation. The town police were there observing to keep it under control. Even the high school principal participated. As would be expected - someone loaded a balloon with something hard - hit a girl in the eye - ambulence came and picked her up - and a lawsuit against the town was filed. Word got out that we had a videotape. My wife objected to giving it out (we ultimately had to edit it to hide the many wet t-shirts on some of the girls - chief of police's daughter included). The server came to our door several nights and we didn't answer. Finally one night a lady all dressed up, high heels, fur coat, hair done perfectly, the works - knocks on the door. Me, the big dope, opens the door wide and up comes her hand with the LEGAL papers! The regular server is in the background laughing. Next day I ran the video down to court with my tail between my legs!

Our area is considered sandy. Some of it does have a high sand content but there is a layer of dirt, a very dark sand about 12 to 18 inches down that will compact and slow if not block water movement (it is called hardpan for a reason). I had a small bog hole that went away by running a subsoiler through it. Found where the water would sit on the ground was where the layer was the hardest to break.

At our first house had the same result with a more clay soil doing as Murf said.

As to permits, sure no expert but if it gets ruled WET LANDS, hope you have another site to build on.

Is the unit hydraulic? As you know the MF65 and MF165 have the adjustment screw. It would make you wonder if the throw out bearing or some other shim are incorrect. I certainly would want to look at the clutch once it was apart.

Well I did luck out and this might be what Kthompson was about to say(only have the free membership) found some 8" pins at small farm supply store that had 2 nuts instead of 1 nut/shoulder works fine only needed 3" total to make it to 26". Won't have much weight vertical and only pulling light trailer over flat ground
