A few years ago I had Highway Patrol to pull me for speeding doing about 60 in a 45 or so zone. I had my crusie on and the limit dropped due to our state hwy going over the interstate (intersetion). When the patrolman asked if I realized I was speeding my polite answer was yes sir, I was running the exact same speed the whole time, even when you RAN past me in this same 45 mph zone. He was polite and told me due to a meeting he was on way to, did not have time to write ticket. Such is life.

I do the same thing with the handles when I refer to storys from TP, my wife is catching on and acts as if she is intrested. I can't wait to sign on and dont want to sign off. Great bunch of guys.

Overseas has low wages, for the time being. Many countries that were undevelope countries are no longer within that status and many more countries where $1000 was a decent annual wage is starting to become more aware and more apart of the World Curlture Revolution.
Unions drove Wages higher here in the states and Min. Wage LAWs drove up the base levels as well. We have chased Interest rates and created Inflations and spurred deflations. We have been playing with our economy like a Monopoly Game when in reality there is more to the picture and that is the Overseas and over the border competition. Through the Union Greed etc here in the states, Americans have driven their wages skyward. Look at the stability from the 40s to the 60s and then look at the 70s to now. Unions became BOLDER and more demanding, wanted more of the profits, Wages became too much here for companies to continue to meet and they started looking elsewhere. Why not? a Human is a Human and if the Human in the states wnats $50 per hour to program a computer and there is one in India willing and able to do it for 1/4 the wage, why not? who in their right mind would NOT relocate their business? Companies do not give a Rat's Ass about the Economy. Zero Percent Interest on American Cars isn't about helping you or trying to help the Economy, it is about movig metal. Foriegn dealers have less comptetion here in the states and you pay what they sell it for. There is a Ford Dealership every 20 miles and an Toyota Dealership every 300. So american dealers lower their prices to attract customers from their America counterparts, meanwhile by offering Big Incentives to buy we destroy the Use market and we are still more than the foriegn imports. Many people buy Toyota Trucks because of the Resale value for it isn't destroyed byy Incentives. American Automakers can not produce for the price the public wants to pay, why? because of the greedy Union Labor Force, so they relocate. Now for the time being, they can produce and sell for less and be competitive against foriegn manufacturers, that is until Mexico decides to form Unions and ge tthe pay the Americans were getting and then what? close the Domestic Shops? How long do we wait before we smarten up? It is about Quality and doing it for less pay or get in the Unemployment lines.
Africa was an example, the White Farmer flashed his Superior status to the point that the Africans grew tired and create laws to abolish the very Farmer who had kept them employed and alive. They will go through many years of self destruction and then they will adapt and come back around and it will be African controling Africans not the WHites in the leadership positions. The Middle East is no longer just Camel Jocks and Nomands but people who want to buy and spend their Oil Money and on what? mostly Mercedes and why? it is known for Quality. McDonalds hasn't done too well in China, it dod at first and then when the fad was over the people realized the food sucked.
As Europe and the rest of the world advances on the economic scale wgaes will as well and if we want to get back in the game we need to make some BIG changes here. That is what I am writing. We can not allow Union Greed to chase more comanies away and Most larger companies are Union. I will gladly work for less in many of the Union Jobs but the Companies can NOT hire me. So Denis the lower wages in the rest of the world are mostly with lower skilled people and the quality even with those people is equal to or better than from our Over Paid Union Factories. If we can eliminate Unions and make a decent product, we will automatically fall back in the Highly requested Product line again.
I defy you to go on a BIG Game Hunt in Africa and see if you can get a bunch of Natives to lug your shit around for pennies. Your Trip, your permits and so forth will set you back a real decent penny and they aren't as stupid as they once were, they have grown smarter and we still expect them to just obey and do, as we enjoy life.. Sorry dream is over.
I am sure we can go in circles here for days, but I see ourselves as our own worst enemies and our Greed is catching up to us ad becoming our punisher.

I have a 2005, double cab, long bed, 4x4, TRD sport pkg, tow pkg, 4.0 ltr, V-6, Automatic trans with every option available except leather. As of june 2006, I had 10,000 miles on it. I get 16 mpg around town and 20 mpg on the hwy. usually driving around 65mph. I live in the blue ridge mtns. of VA so there is alot of hill travel. I sometimes tow a Cub Cadet 7532 with FEL and backhoe on a double axle, 16 foot trailer.(about 6,000 lbs.) When I do this, I get 12 mpg around town and about 17 mpg on the hwy. driving at 55mph. I have found that following the manufac. rec. octane rating of 92 or better gets me the higher end of the mpg spectrum, but not by much. The big bonus of using the high octane is that the computer is calibrated to generate 245 hp only when using super unleaded. Comparing the old style tacomas with their anemic 185hp v-6 to the new tacoma and its 245hp v-6 is not going to give you an accurate mpg estimate. The top tow rating for the new tacoma is 6500lbs if you get all the factory options needed. If you only tow occasionally, and in the 2-3k lbs range, My advice would be to go for the 4 cyl. IF YOU WANT A DOUBLE CAB, GET THE V-6!! The extra weight of the double cab demands the V-6. Hope this helps.

Sadly you may be correct. We are suppose to hit a total of 300 million I think this Oct was reported last week.

Wonder ratio of illegals worker output compared to Chinese worker. Does 1 illegal equal 2 Chinese or the other way or could it be 1 to 12 or 12 to 1?

My general contractor ask me about using plex instead of copper in my new house. He said he had used it in the last 6 or 7 houses he had built. I did a little research and so far have only been impressed with the product and apparent ease of installation.

I told my general to go ahead with plex. I'm not sure I can afford copper. I am also conerned about increases from my electrical contractor. My general included price increases in our contract, but I bet there isn't enough for electrical.

Pete, there's an old guy that lives near my shop, he is (one of) the town drunks. One of those pleasant, funny drunks, the kind that is everybody's goofy friend.

Anyways, his favourite trick was to go from work, to the Legion hall and drink his dinner before heading home. He got stopped for DUI so many times they finally took his licence away (this was many years ago). This never stopped him, he just kept driving, then one fatefull night he got hit by a train on the way home, and lost both legs at the knee.

Being the never say never type of guy, he merely switched his means of transport. He bought a good used 40'ish HP utility tractor, put an SMV placard on the back of the tractor, and made up a carryall bin for the 3pth!!!

Now he could still be mobile, didn't have to worry about DUI (there was no such thing back then for farm equipment, etc.) and started a little business doing light contract farming work for people in the area. Bush-hogging, tilling, plowing, etc., and roaded that little tractor all over creation.

To this day I still see old Lloyd running around town every now & then, in fact it looks like he has the contract to cut the grass at the legion now, I saw him the other day with a little box trailer on the back of his Ford 3000 with a riding mower, a 19" push mower and a line trimmer in it!!

He even put a PVC pipe 'holster' down each side of the hood to hold his canes while drives.

God Bless him, he sure is a sight to see...

I have a set of cast iron pans that, if you treat right, never need to be washed, maybe a wipe with a paper towel every now and then. No teflon of any sort. The best thing to come off those pans has been black fish fried in crushed almond batter.

I looked at KK web site before I sent my last thoughts and am basing this from there. That disk has 4 or so different preset angles with a single pin to hold the angle. If you are not able to set it to the most aggressive angle without the gangs rubbing against the other side (you are wise to not let that happen) you probably need to loosen one or both the gangs and move them out so they will clear.

When are you planting the food plots? You may be better off to burn in the fall after the grass dies and depending on what animals you are feeding and where you are you may wish to plant a winter grain or grass.

Weight could help. Just be sure it is secure. Them there blades will have fun with a plastic tank. I rather have either old tractor weights or such. My brother has some old cast iron drainage grates that work great.

Running higher RPM past where you really need to be will run the enginer hot or does for me.

Hard dirt and/or trash for me cuts better at slower speed. Faster speed is better for clean and soft dirt.

As to the axle being clear of the dirt, run you hand under the bearings support on the axle. It will tell you quickly if you are bye the way they are worn.

If you are able to disk at a different angle for the second or third time that helps as you hit the clumps and lumps with a cross cut angle.

The only time I've wanted more power is if I'm doing really heavy duty loader work such as digging in sand. So 98% of the time I've been very happy with the HP.

Manufacturers go by sold orders. He who buys first gets theirs first. Some dealers do have good relations with other dealers and they swap equipment around. This works good for the manufacturer as well as for the dealers not to have excess equipment that they have to pay interest on.

Ebay identity theft is very common. Too common. Construction equipment is especially vulnerable, especially with respect to tractors and skidsteers. You've gotten those e-mails before asking you to update your info? Some people actually falls for it and give up their info only to find that their good ID is used to create such scams. The most telling sign is that the auctions urge you not to contact them through the ebay mechanism because they are above their limit. Ultimately, you pay their $3995 buy it now price and get nothing in return. By the time you figure out it is a scam, they have taken the money and ran.

I spoke with the owner of the tire shop, and yes they do use the exact same pump and hoses for pumping Rim Guard as they do with pumping Calcium Chloride they carry a tank of each on their truck. The technician is supposed to rinse everything back into the chloride tank after use but the owner stated that the tech. probably did not and they may even mixed the two due to a crack in one of the tanks. The owner stated that he will pay for the lawn replacement, but I am more concerned with what is in my rims.
