There is not any really weak points on that tractor. I have seen very few in for any types of major repair. the only thing that I have seen more than once (maybe 4 out of 500) is a leaky hydro seal. That is really easy to spot. Look under the tractor right around the bell housing and there is a weep hole with a cotter pin sticking out of it. Check for any residue there

In general there should be nothing in the plastic bags, although I might us a Glad bag or other new clear bag to be sure.
Years ago we had a small contract to determine what was in some garbage bags. It turned out the person was recycling PE in the bags and loaded up with lub. The lub was staining the white uniforms of medical workers.
I am bad as I can taste the lub even in PET used for soda bottles. I guess your nose gets tuned to the smell after being up to your elbows in it. Most of them are stearates so relatively harmless, but can effect the taste.

A bit of follow up... The cylinder I have is made by Carter & Carter. I don't remember the exact lengths is has but it is shorter than the original manual top link when fully retracted. The only time I have had the rear wheels off the ground is if I am standing still and fully extend the unit with the 3 pt fully down. If I am moving when I extend the top link it just digs in like crazy.

I have a 7 1/2 foot box frame disc from king kutter,(I think around 800 lbs.) I usually disk in 4WD so traction is not a problem. The only issue I have seen so far is having to cautious of overheating the engine. Even doing the heavy plowing in A range will heat the tractor up pretty well after about an hour.

As has been stated, some things are just a bear to disc and brome pasture is one of them. I had to make 7 passes just to get it to the point I could plant. Now that it has been turned, I hope the following years will be much easier work.

That was the nice thing about the train as they had a games area and you could socialize with other passengers as you watched the scenery. As Murf commented.<br>

I am afraid I have lived north south east and west in NA. I was born not far from where Murf is but grew up in northern and then southern B.C. I moved to the states about 15 years ago after I finished my degrees. I have been in AL about 7 years. Not sure where I will be next if we decide to move. Definately gives you a little broader picture on things.<br>

Ken Across Canada is 5500 miles at 8 miles an hour or 1400 hours or four and a half months with 10 hours a day on the tractor. Then you need to get the worn out tractor home. Sorry count me out, even with a cab.

I have been very blessed. Live within 6 miles of where I grew up and within 35 of where I was born. Now two of my sisters had rollers under their furniture and they will relate to your experiences and heart aches very well. When we moved 6 miles 5 years ago that was enough for me!

I agree with 10 inches would be about 6 to 10 stops not much fun but might be easier in his case.

There is always the options Dennis pointed out.

Not seeing your splitter, not sure if the design would allow this but if it does you might be able to use a heavy duty C type clamp as a moveable stop on the beam. I do mean the very strong short clamp you use a wrench on not the sliding handle type.

A quick question, there is a lot of suggestions here to help stop the full travel if you don't need it. First question is do you need the full travel and if not how much do you need? Also would you need the amount of travel to vary greatly from piece to piece?

Another option, an illegal alien to assist you. Get a crew of two and you will be shelling split wood. No shooting please.

You might talk to a Massey-Ferguson dealer. I think the E2304 is essentially the same tractor as the one I have, a MF 1030. My 1030 has power steering, but I don't know if these steering parts are interchangable or not.

I do not know where your information comes from, first, President Bush was NOT the owner of the Texas Rangers he was a Managing Partner. An Investment Group was the Legal Owner. Second, I do not see where President Bush used any Eminent Doamin to build the stadium and from what I have read, "Ameriquest Field was built on one of the old Arlington Stadium parking lots. Thus, the irregular dimensions of the outfield were planned independently rather than forced by neighboring structures"
As far as the year that President Bush took is not fair to assume he is the Sole Law Maker. Congress and the Senate have done NOTHING to safe guard the property of the Private Citizens, President Bush by creating the EO has made it very clear what his position is on the subject, it would be nice to hear from the ones who should be getting off of their asses and doing something. So far nothing.
I am being curretly entertained by Senator Leahy who feels Flag Desecration is Free Speech and that throwing Red Paint on the Whiter House is not. So the Senate and the Congress is who is dragging their feet, not President Bush, he can ONLy sign into law what has made it through the prior levels first.

The M-6800 is a top link sensing tractor. It is possible to have variables especially in rolling conditions just as it is in variable soils like what we have here in NY. The draft system works by resistance of the load and is supposed to keep a constant pressure against the tractor without load change. On many of the larger tractors the lift arms are parrallel to the implement being pulled unlike the top link which on many semi-mount applications are not used.

YOu might want to look at the Kubota cab to compare. The Kubota cab has been good for a few years now with all parts functoning well. They are quite quiet too.

You still need a valve to operate the rake angle. The lines you are refering to could be used for the power if you would like to configure it that way but you still will need to purchase a valve to actuate the movement.

Great machine. I fixed the lift cylinder and the tractor hasn't given me a problem since. It was purchased in South Mississippi. I paid $3500.00 for it with a new box blade. It was not rebuilt. The tractor had 1800 hrs. on it, but it had been freshly painted and had four brand new tires. It had been fully serviced with new filters and fuilds. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

Mobil 1 meets most the specs but I think it is better to use the Delvac 1 which is specifically made for diesel engines. I doubt that your Kubota calls for 10W-30 for the summer.<br>

Check your tire pressures. If when raising the fronts after driving in four wheel drive on a hard surface they turn in a forward motion then they would need more air. If they turn to the rear then they need less.

Sears uses to be very good on their guaranteed on the Craftsman label but they had not near as good on Sears Labelled products.

A few years ago Sears purchased Western Auto and was offering the local store the option to carry either line of tools the Craftsman or the Wizzard line. Not sure if htey still own Western Auto but they and K Mart are the same, do they offer their tools there now or Martha Stewart or such.

As someone who has never owned turf tires on a tractor those I have looked at are wider than the ag tires for the same tractor. In the real world of farming that width is an issue with some implements and crops.

The only time I ever considered turf tires the salesman talked me out of them by the suggestion I find a source of replacement first. If the field is your main arena, I would buy ag tires. If the lawn is your main arena turf makes sense. I do know my ztr has real turf tires and it marks our lawn as much as the CUT with your loader tires does and is dead on wet grass on slopes, unless cutting down hill.

In my experience the front tires on the tractor are more damaging than any tire on the rear unless the lawn is really wet.

I was also waiting for the 2320 to come out and couldn't wait any longer. Went with a 2630 Kubota instead and have no regrets. A lot more standard features than the John deere has and better financing rates at the time, still may be. I hated not being able to deal with my John Deere dealer who I always buy from but the Kubota dealer treated me very well, I was very impressed with them. Good luck in your purchase!
