Good thought Mark. And Brokenarrow has never exactly said what it is he's hauling. Will it be 1500 lbs of old donuts or what? This information is important and we'll need to know cause a half ton of donuts will surely weigh more than a half ton of bread.

Ken and earthwrks are right, those are pins that you scew in and out with your bare hands when you need to lower the top bar (the top bar rotates on those pivots and stays with the tractor, or you can remove it if you ever drive it into your barn and scratch the hell out of it (I NEVER had that happen to me.. hm..hm.. ). It takes about 2 minutes to change the setup on the foldable ROPS.

A couple of weeks is nothing, I recall reading some time back (in National Geo. I think) about some scientists who had found some seeds in a recently discovered tomb, Inca if I remember correctly, and decided to plant a few to see what would happen.

They germinated!!!

I found my LA402 loader to be very easy to attach/detach and I don't have that much experience with it. I did it in the garage on concrete floor which is actually not very level at all, but didn't have a problem anyway. I don't know if there's a major difference between the way different Kubota loaders are attached, but for the LA402, once you get the side frame lined up with the receivers on the main frame, it's a matter of 1 - 2 minutes to finish the hook up.

You got a hefty lot to take care of, you need a hefty tractor to do the job, the L3130 shouldn't disappoint you.

Paladin, what are you gonna do in 15 years when your posts have rotted at the ground level? That concrete you poured into the ground is gonna be a real pain in the butt to deal with. When I started putting up fencing for my horses a few years back, I cemented every 4th post with concrete like you did only to find out that the posts will rot in time anyway and instead of simply being able to pull them out of the ground, I'd have to deal with 100lb of concrete in the ground. Not my problem now, since I'm selling the farm :)

Sounds like the shift lump, has came out or broke.You will need to remove the lift box to repair/replace it.Its not a hard job let me know if you have any questions or need the replacement parts

Art - inch-pounds vs foot-pounds. I almost blew that one this winter when reading the Kohler service manual. One table of numbers was in foot-pounds, the next in inch-pounds. It required careful reading.

There are steps that always should be gone thru with every problem. Lubrication is the first and least expensive fix for many problems that we find. I can't say that it is always the first thing done! Lubrication of all components should have been done at assembly time and after the unit is delivered it is the owners responsibility. Everyone does it differently and timing is more per use and working conditions as to when it might be needed.

I'm a newbie with about 16 hours on my TZ25, but this tractor has done everything that I've asked of it including moving good-sized boulders, 30 yards of mulch, mowing 16 inch grass, and even pulling out some small tree stumps and very large shrubs. I'm smiling (Even my wife is starting to like the tractor!)

took it apart somewhat. was able to drop the unit ,remove the lower 6 bolts but could not get it all the way apart. felt around in side with finger and found that the nut holding the wheel shaft was loose. tried to get it tight but was afaird to get it too tight. there was no locking not on the shaft. it looks like someone had rebuilt it before, there where numbers on the out side like a junk yard would use to nake a part. there was no broken parts that i could see and no metal in unit, but the wheel is still is loose. who do it get this all the wat apart to work on it.

(smiling now) Unless you watched it being built and checked the build sheet---anything is possible once it got to the dealer. I had a Jeep 4-speed that wouldn't stay in gear when it was cold. Turns out the factory used the wrong weight of oil. Dealer put the right stuff in and never gave me trouble.

Actually, my loader is working fine...

I did not purchase a remote outlet when I bought the tractor new. Presently, I have tee'd into the loader's dump and rollback functions (& isolated them). Unfortunately, the 3"dia cylinder does not 'seem' to have the 'umpf' to lift the head on my haybine...

If the level was at the full level now then it might have been over filled when assembled and come out a vent. If it is low then it is very important to find when it is leaking and where. The dealer will be fixing it, but to know where the leak is and what to expect helps!

A few years ago there was song, and later a bumper sticker I saw in a Detroit suburb that said "Why are only stupid people breeding?" How true. And sad for us white, soon-to-be-the-minority guys.

I own a Echo brush cutter! I have always owned only one blade, the round blade that has chain saw style teeth on it. The most awesome peice of equipment I own! Its a straight shaft with a harness and it wont quit! What you cant cut in one pass you come around the other side of the tree with it and down she goes. 3-4inch trees go bye bye in about 5 seconds.

I'll have to take the camera out to get photos of the loader mount, but it had brackets that bolt to the sides of the engine, and the tops of the front axle. The front fenders come off. There is also a cross tube that runs under the tractor right infront of the pivot point. It is a model 45-18910. They stopped making it 9 or 10 years ago, but the 45 part refers to the loader, and the rest is basically the mounting brackets. The 45 is still made, just not for the Zebra. I have some literature on the loader too, if I can find it, I'll scan it too.<br>
