To all,
Recieved all my test ports and gauges. Last night I started with a visual exploratory. Removed all plugs where the test ports were going to be installed. Looked in all passages with a pen light. BINGO! found a blockage inside the charge relief passage. Used a small packing puller hoping it it was soft yet durable to be extracted. No good, the pieces which I was removing appeared to be a rubber gasket. Tried back flushing and was able to open the passage but there is still material in there. I've elected to pull my Transaxle and open it up. My guess at this point is at one time somebody used a generic filter which came apart. I will keep you all posted with more detail as I dig further. I hope it was a generic filter nad not an OEM Kubota filter !

I appreciate all the feedback. It looks like the entire line of the new 4020 series have turbo charged engines so I
guess John Deere has confidence in them. I think I'll look at buying the turbo 3520 as compared to the non turbo 3120 or 3320. thanks cbookman1

I am brand new here, and need some sage advice please. I want to buy a used tractor.<br>

BACKGROUND<br>
I have been using a borrowed Kubota B20 with loader and backhoe for a couple of months for landscaping/digging. It is OK, except the backhoe doesn't cut it with our tough clay (unit too light, not enough power I think). I do like the small size of the rig. It has a hydrostatic trans which seems pretty easy to use.<br>

QUESTIONS<br>
1. What should I be looking for which will fare better for backhoeing? Is performance a function of weight, hp, or both?<br>
<br>
2. What are my transmission tradeoffs? Is something other than a hydrostatic reasonably easy to use? It seems convenient, but I don't know what the other alternatives are, and how less convenient they are.<br>
<br>
3. I want a rototiller too. Does that limit what I should be considering for the base unit? Does it much matter? <br>
<br>
4. Some of the ebay prices seem too good to be true. So how do I sort our the wheat from the chaff in these offers?<br>

I have a Cub Cadet 7265 4wd hydro that when it warms up and you spin the steering wheel fast left or right it chatters like its sucking air in the hydrolics but none of the other hydrolics act like that. Any ideas?

Just got a CK25 w/ 130 loader, yesterday fro 14,700 in the Northern VA area. Dealer said business was slow. Kioti also had 30 months with no interest.

Whoa! we sure are Spirited.
Several years ago I went to Albany NY and I listened to the Greens Movement and a Sentator Bilden who claimed that the passage of the Federal Income Tax Amendment was illegal. I beleive from the top of my head that is the 16 th amendment which was passed by te Senate in February of 1913.I listened and I went on line and I did a lot of research on the so called Consumption Tax only laws. Sen Bilden claimed that the Ratification process which demand that 75% of all states ratify a Bill exactly as it is written before it can be made into an Amendment was NOT accomplished. He claimed he went to every single state (which were states in 1913) and researched their archives to find proof that they Ratified the Bill as written. He claims less than 27 states actually passed the Bill thru ratification, so he asked then how di it come to be an Amendment idf 75% did NOT pass it? so he went to the Federal Senate Logs and found NO ENTRY on a Senate Floor Vote for the 16th Amendment. Well! He sure put on a good talk and he claimed that all taxes unless they are consumption taxes or proportional taxes are ILLEGAL.
I knew a Judge who had not paid Federal Income tax in over 11 years and after he died he had a Court House named after him. I to this day have no idea how much of all this is fact or not. I was never able to find anything that really came out and said THE TAXES ARE ILLEGAL.
Chief you sound like you have lost Property or something. I have some acreage, not a lot but I do have some. I do no know what you are implying. I beleive we had a thread a few weeks back where we all talked about Emient Domain and I do know there is some Federal Investigation going on right now over the claims of Malls etc. I went to the websites that the person from NJ had posted and I read them. I did not find an abundance of abuse for the chart was all of the abuse Nationwide for the last 30 years or so. So fill me in, what is it that has you doing the ole Fire dance.
I am content and I am happy with my Federal Tax Load. I am not happy with the Local Taxes nor am I Happy with the Sin Tax, rooms and meal tax, sales tax, State Income tax or many other taxes that Tax Crazy Howard Dean Implemented or raised. School Taxes? I fight them all of the time and have gone head to head with our Superentendant many times. These are Taxes I am able to fight on a more one on one level and I do, I go to the Town Meetings and I stir up a lot of commotion and my Town has voted Down the budget almost every single year. Our problem, is the Union School Districts, you can get one Town to hear you, but it is hard to be able to be heard in every town of the Union School District. The Budget is usually released just days before Town Meeting and that doesn't give much time to stir up the minds of the voters in all of the towns. I still do not understand how there can be a Union of any kind between the taxpayer and the reciepent of the Taxpayers money. Kinda takes the control from the taxpayer and forces crap onto us that we do not want.

I'll go along with Murf on the plastic thing. Several years ago a friend of mine bought some engeneered rafters from a rafter plant that had been built a foot too short or something for little or nothing. his plan was to build a shed with them in a year or two. he stored them on the ground with black plastic over them. In a year or so when he went to use them they had rotted enough to be usless from the condensation on the inside of the plastic. Another lesson learned the hard way. But back to the subject, yes a shed or something to keep the sun and rain off will keep your tractor or most any equipment in better shape than sitting in the weather. Frank.

Take it back to the dealer and tell them you want a loaner since you can't afford go without a machine for another 30 days while they try to find the root cause of the problem. If it comes back and fails a 3rd time ask for another machine or get your money back.

I'm buying the 2305 and I went with the rear mower.If you get the mid mower and want to use the front loader there needs to be a valve installed in order to use both.Also in my case I will be using the tractor with front loader in the woods and would have to remove the mid mower for ground clearance every time I go into the woods. REAR MOUNT

Yes you can weld it with the AC machine. As previously stated thin metal would be very difficult. Preheat with a torch and cover while it cools.

Me too (CASE DX25E), nicked the oil filter while removing the MMM, but didnt pierce it. I'm going to buy a few filters to keep on hand. I have a new field to mow and I did a dry run (no cutting, deck up) around the field to see if there were any obstacles. "Time spent on a recce is seldom wasted".

The sympton you describe is from a slipping clutch. It has nothing to do with a head gasket/ Use universalhydraulic/transmission fluid = toor better thanJD303.

Yes, there was a bagger available for the 160. I doubt if you could find a new one, but There should be used ones around. Our dealership usually has a good selection of used baggers.
