buying a 2305, wondering what people think about mowers, 62" mid mount or 74" rear? what one would do the best job

MandTconstruct The mid mount mower will not give a good cut if it isn't allowed to rest on it's wheels. If you have enough room where you are mowing, I would go for the rear mower with caster wheels on it so that it can float along the ground at the desired heigth. This is assuming that there aren't any small mounds where you are mowing! ....

In this case, small tractor I would take the mid mount, because the machine operates closer to a Garden Tractor than a big tractor, i.e., mid frame deere or 3000 series plus. I had the opportunity to put a 60" landpride pull behind my 2210 and as mentioned above it cuts wonderfully, but you need to really ballast the front, because the 2210 become very light in the front if you pick that mower up and try to run somewhere. Personally, I like pull behinds on bigger machines.

I'm buying the 2305 and I went with the rear mower.If you get the mid mower and want to use the front loader there needs to be a valve installed in order to use both.Also in my case I will be using the tractor with front loader in the woods and would have to remove the mid mower for ground clearance every time I go into the woods. REAR MOUNT ....
