Build a small stand the same height as your lowered tail gate and simply roll the tank out of the pick up right on to the stand. No need to lift and lug on the drum or get out the tractor to load and unload it this way.<br>

1* I haven't looked to see if stabilizers for diesel fuel are available.
2* I buy from a reasonably large volume distributor.
3*Just fill up a can or so in town as needed.
4* Every year or two I take an empty container and dump the remaining fuel into my furnace tank or use it for cleaning parts.

Well, you have to consider the Mexican economy is built upon sending people to US to work and having them send the money back to Mexico. It's been effective for them. also, all the furver over the illegal issue has been very effective in letting the Mexican government avoid their own internal problems. So naturally, they are doing their best to keep it in the media so Mexican citizens don't look at their own problems like drug cartels, corruption in every piece of government, crime, etc.

Ok, PAS, your latest comments help a lot. Since you muck out the stalls using a wheel barrow, leaving the MMM on with a loader shouldn't be a problem. I do that at my place. That way you can put the MMM on in spring and leave it until the grass is done in fall. It also helps with eyesight using the MMM vs a rear mount mower.

Your barn width shouldn't be an issue either. When it comes to dealers, a good salesman will take the time to understand your specific setup, your medical condition and work to find a solution that works best for you. A good one will also let you try the model out. Maybe not at your place, but to try the controls and see how they work with your MS. If they have a good used stock selection, they may even loan you one over a weekend to get real use knowledge.

The top 3 manufacturers, JD, NH, Kubota are all pretty good stuff. The one with the best dealer for making sure you are set up ok and taken care of should get your business. I drive green but they employ the CFO. Otherwise, those Kubotas looked pretty nice and so did the Case/NH stuff.

L3650 is overheating both at idle and when working. Temp indicator goes about 7/8 way to red. I replaced the thermostat and fan belt. Radiator fins are clean outside. Inside some (30%) thin white scale. All tubes open. No leaks from water pump, but there seems to be no flow from the engine into the radiator. I boiled the thermostat before installing it and it works fine. Could the pump be bad with no other indications? Or could there be something else about the thermostat I don�t know? No immediate indication of head gasket leaks or cracks- no bubbles in coolant, no excess smoke when under load. I�ve owned this 15 yr tractor about 6 months. Thanks, Hal

That is not only a very dangerous and misleading statement to make, it's WRONG. Close, but WRONG.

Home heating oil and # 2 diesel are "chemically" the same thing, both being 'middle' distillates, in the same range of length of carbon chain, around C15 to C18 range, but that is all.

Diesel fuel has a much lower level of sulphur, and a MUCH lower ash content, as well as being far lower in things like water, parafin, and other contaminents.

Running a diesel engine for long on home heating oil can end up being a VERY expensive lesson in false economics.

Most petroleum distributors require a minimum of 250 gallons to deliver in my area.

Here it's 150 Gal. but there are various ways around that.

First, Rolltide, bear in mind, a standard steel 55 gallon drum weighs about 35 pounds, the diesel fuel will weigh another 7 pounds per gallon, for 55 gallons, 385 pounds, plus the drum, for a total of about 420 pounds. That's a lot of weight to jockey around and place.

I meant to mention that you can use a 30 or 55 gallon oil drum. They are not too difficult to move with a hand truck and strap. The 30 gallon drum is much easier to move. The drums are much cheaper than a tank. You can buy much cheaper pumps from Harbor Freight but they are kinda leaky. Just be sure to treat the diesel fuel with an anti-microbiocidal and good additive with a stabilizer to prevent biological contamination from setting or stale fuel.

Thanks for the tip. I've made arrangements to have it serviced at my dealer under Warranty. He had a hard time finding the fan blade part even though I gave him a printout from the on-line manual. It just wasn't coming up on his machine. I'll let folks know how the dealer decided to approach this repair. Maybe he's got a trick up his sleeve??

SG8: You funny guy! FYI: Fordson tractors back in the early 40's had a factory-option for their 9N's for changing tires and adjusting the tracking width that consisted of basically two "kickstands" connected by a chain that lifted the tractor evenly by raising the 3-pt hitch.

I agree with Rankin about lowering the presssure to promote even tire wear. On my Ram diesel 4x4 which is extremely front-heavy compared to the rear, I have to run 20psi lower pressures in the rears (90psi fronts). Otherwise the centers wear out.
