I'm a first time buyer and thought that I had narrowed by choice down to what would be ideal for my purposes with a B2910. I've seen a couple of posts indicating that the B2910 was being discontinued and replaced with the B3030. The official Kubota site still shows both models and the B3030 apparently available either with or without a cab. Now I'm really confused! Anyone care to enlighten me?

Unfortunately, Kubota, JD, Kioti, NH, etc. make theft easy for determined thieves. One key will start any tractor of a particular brand. This is idiotic. Has anyone changed their starter key cylinders?

Yes, Mark, I had seen the date on the original post and no reply to it. It's just something that baffles and bothers me. It seems like purchasing service manuals are comparable to getting the codes for our nuclear defense.
Would all the service departments of the major tractor manufacturers go out of business if manuals were priced within reason?

The dogs smell better with one worse than the other. I also used my carpet extractor to wash the upstairs carpets. Lots of work, but it is smelling better inside. I guess I'm getting spring cleaning done early.

Then this morning, meathead is going nuts inside the fence. I look out and there is something short and black waddling away in the field. Me thinks the skunk is hanging around. If he hangs around too much he's liable to suffer from lead poisoning.

Most splitter pumps are two stage pumps. The large GPM ratings are for a no-load or low-load condition such as cycling the ram back to load another chunk of wood. Under load they pump much less volume but at much higher pressures. <br>

Northern tool has good information (link below for 16 GPM pump). It requires at least an 8-horse motor. Your 4x24 ram's volume is about 1.3 gallons so with no load it should cycle through both directions in about 10 seconds.<br>

I guess it depends on your use and the weight you will be putting on the machine. I'm one of these guys that always wants to have power in reserve. I can tell you that I used to have an ATC90 3 wheeler LONG AGO. My dad rode it, and it did what he wanted it to. I have 30% grade hills, and rarely have a need for my 4WD on my Foreman. It handles much better at low speeds in 2WD. But, I like to know I have it, and have been in muddy situations that I would not have climbed without it. I weigh about 250, and rode a Honda 350 Rancher all over a volcano in Hawaii. It had plenty of power, if that was all I was going to do. However, I pull a small trailer, with firewood, gravel, etc., it might get up to about 800-1000#, and my Foreman never hesitates. The new quads are much more stable than the old 3 wheelers, but can still flip if you are not careful. Good Luck!

Well, let's get ready for more of Big Brother and the "Jackbotted Thugs" who are gradually taking our constitution bit by bit. This really sucks in that it is just yet another step to limiting free speech by making it schitt simple for anyone with a gripe to get a lawyer to sue. The net result will be the bland, boring, milque toast content we see on some other web sites who exercise abusive censorship and threats of litigation.

$15.5K might be hard to beat at any distance.

When I bought my BX22 almost four years ago, $14.9K was a killer price and $17.2K was full list. I am sure there have been base price increases since them.

Make sure you add "911" to the fuel
to make sure the desil does not gel
on you. If you still have summertime fuel
in it, it will not be thinned down with kero
for the winter.
I use a magnetic heater on the trans
occasionally to speed up the time it takes
to get the 3 point lift to work.
I have glow plugs, and the high amperage
battery so starting it seems to be ok.
For prolonged 0 degree weather I would probably
place an electric heater under the motor and
let all the heat rise under the hood. I think
for a given wattage, the electric heater
puts out more heat than the surface mount
block heaters.

I have used MYSTERY OIL as a Gasoline dditive to keep injectors cleaned etc and I have used it in my crankcase as well. My JD is still too new and don't want to mess up with Warranty Issues but what is people's feelings about the Mystery Oil being used in the Oil. I already do use Power Service from the info I gained on these boards over the last two years, but what about adding Mystery Oil with the Power Service. Here in Vermont it has been below Zero and my Tractor started. I have doubled the Power Service amount, use UNCUT Off Road Diesel and keep it plugged in.
What is the actual Mystery about Mystery Oil?

I am happy to here you have some resolution. I hope our input was some help. Like I said in my post I am still learning more about this. I was up at the maker of TYPAR house rap, BBA on Thursday last week. Now I am sorry I used TYVEK on my house and garage.

Steve take advantage and start a little higher! You'll never get it unless you ask! I have people that I always start 500 higher then where I want to be. I watched them pay more, but the other dealer dropped the 500! Who figures, I like to do it right the first time! Don't forget, if they don't want what you have they probably won't pay no matter how low you go!

some straw will have seeds though; Many a times my wife spread straw around the barn dirt floor to tidy it up a bit only to have a good deal of grass come up from under that straw! I have sky lights in the barn and some areas are a bit wet from ground water so the whole thing turns into a greenhouse..

The diesel price difference on the VW are about $1500. The mileage difference is closer to 50%. The payback point is a little over 70,000 miles. With diesel and gas prices at $2.20 and $2.40. As gas prices increase this changes.
Naturally with the differential being only 8-10 cents CDN, and prices higher our friend Murf has a much shorter pay back period than us. For example with the Golf he could pay off the $1500 dollar in 50,000 miles.

The new price is about $25-27K. I am not sure from your description what type of shape it is in, but I think it is a good value.
