The absolute simplest, and very likely cheapest, way to do it would be to have a stub pole or 12" x 12" PT timber set in the ground next to the transformer. On it have a single meter mounted that in turn feeds both service panels, the garage / pumphouse and house itself.

You would then only need one transfer switch to run both buildings.

If you mounted the genset next to the garage you could then use the existing wire to carry the supply to the house. This would also allow you to remote mount the battery inside to keep it charged and ready.

As for trailer mounting, that makes it a little too mobile, especially if there is any amount of theft in your area, a genset is a popular item.

I would suggest having it skid-mounted, then have a trailer and a come-along or winch to pull it up onto the trailer in the unlikely event you ever need to take it away for service, or get a tilt & load tow truck to do the whole move. By skid I mean the steel drag frame used on construction equipment, not wood.

Well, I see you're posting anonymously - so that's probably why you can't access the email and PM feature located in my forum profile. I tried to decipher your "encrypted" email address, but obviously interpreted something incorrectly. Undeliverable.

Sounds like there's already grease IN the tranny. You can try gear oil I suppose - don't think I'd use anything thinner than 140W - but it's likely to have a noisy result.

Instead of buying a used hoe, for about the same price you mentioned you could buy a new Rhino hoe. Rhino is who makes the oem New Holland hoes. They are identicle. I bought the Rhino equivalant to a 757 installed for $4995.00 a year and a half ago. That is a bigger, brand new hoe with a warranty for $600.00 more dollars. The hoe is very simple to put on (10 min)and even easier to take off.

Demcoed I have a similar property size and use you discribe.I bought a TC33D 4 years ago and have never regreted it. There have been many more times I have benifited by its smaller size and manuverability than suffered from it. Its size has never been an issue. Rememmber you'll have this tractor for a long time. I think a 40 for 4 acres is overkill.

The L2900 was just delivered today. I only had 40 minutes to scrape the driveway with the awesome loader to fill a few pot holes. I love this tractor. It feels solid! I still need a farm blade. I think I'll go with a 7 foot blade. I need to figure out how to posy a picture..

Yes it does have the bi-speed turn option...and it seems to work fine.....the 4wd does not make any noise or vibration other that when it slips under the heavy load.

I have a farm pro 2425 I do agree with greg check all your hoses. Shipping them from china must take a long time because alot of the hoses maybe in bad shape. Change them, it will save you some field time,take them to a local parts store and they will have a hose that will fit. The return hose for the radiator on mine was matched to a ford fit like a champ. Change the fluids often i do not push the time limit.

Thank you. For every one good engineer there are 3 sorry ones. The good ones drag them along because of a degree that never gets applied. I am sad to say this is true in the Nuclear world. If you were awared in a fair maner for your production, either on line on in the office, and not for your status you may see a better product. When cuts start they start at the bottom do you think Enron's problems were at the bottom. Cooking the Books I dont think the workers did this but they are paying with their pensions.

Thanks to all for your help. I think I have isolated the problem. There is a broken wire in the wire harness as it leaves the instrument panel. The harness goes through the floorboard and onto the rear of the tractor.

Time will tell for sure but it is OK now.

The Kubota does spec up a bit better but the biggest thing is that Kubota certainly would give you no problems if in the third year your drivetrain failed and it was with their backhoe!

The dealer should be able to take care of it for you! I've seen it before and I'll probably see it again although it is a complication.

Look for a whole,dent or something on the suction side of the pump. It could be as simple as a o-ring that might be pinched just showing it's ugly head! You might find it by just moving the lines a little. Air will get into holes that won't leak fluids out!

dk... EXCELLENT description of terms. I work with lab rats (Guys that do this for a living) and just barely can keep out of the way of technical termonology overload.

Our town road guys love the -200 up around 12-14% and state won't use anything near the 10%. But then again traffic loads dictate usage.

I like to see the private drives a little higher with the -200 on top with well drained stone under. The tight top keeps moisture out if drive is sloped or crowned like they should be.

I'd also look at all wire connections that might have been where they might have grabbed or might have tried to pull on them. We often find while people are trying to override safety switches for their easier operation that they pull the wires loose from their connection so they stop all functions. This may not be what is wrong but it's worth a try.
