Would the nitrogen keep the tires cooler or what? The problem I have is I want to make sure the trailer will be ok for a 200 mile or more trip! I don't plan on ever pulling that far but I would want it to be safe for me to use under these conditions.

My dealer said he thought this slowdown was industry wide. Supposedly the overall US economy is "white hot" right now with 5% unemployment. So I wouldn't have expected such a negative view from the dealer. On the other hand, wouldn't business always be at its slowest in January? Or maybe this IS a local phenomenon to NY?

Oh, what a happy day and time for you; it's great to see that you came to a decision on what you wanted or needed.

I don't have the "sensitrak" option either. Now, after having a few hours on my unit, the Case DX24E which is the red version of the NH TZ24DA, I believe the sensitrak is not really needed. When I really need the 4WD, it is locked in and stays there like when doing dirt work or working with the loader. Otherwise, it gets real easy to spinout when in 2WD. When engaged, it does tend to tear up the ground a bit more in tight turns, but that is expected.

I suppose that one of the cautions the dealer advised you about was when removing the MMM to make sure that the MMM clears the hyrdraulic filter when sliding it out. I was told that too, but forgot about it. My hydraulic filter has a nice (small) dent in it from sliding out the MMM. It could have been much worse. The hydraulic filter location may be a weak point as there is nothing guarding the hydraulic filter with the MMM deck removed, and there not much clearance either between the filter and the ground. With the MMM removed, I would be cautious of big stuff that you go over or sticks as that filter could be vulnerable. A removeable guard for the filter and the HST fan would be great in that area.

There have been others on here stating that seat time was great therapy. I totally concur with that, and I need more (too much travel to the east coast in the past 4 months coupled with doing other stuff around the house when I am home). Welcome.

I am really impressed with the downright ingenuity shown on this board. i thought the trouble wasn't worth it, so I just let my local tire dealer do the work. All they charged me for was the material used.

We have a long-time family friend that has a dual-fuel Farmall H. The engine was stuck when he bought it; he and Dad got it freed up and disassembled it; got the major parts to fix it; then he lost interest in it. He has offered to give it to me a couple of times but it would be a losing deal no matter how I sliced it.

That is the only one I've seen in person; so I've yet to hear one run or see how the fuel switch-over works.

I have a 2425 Farm Pro (Jinma). The joy stick control box on the right side of the tractor is the area in question. On the bottom of the control box there is a cap on a threaded fitting with a lock nut. A hyd leak started in the area of the cap. I removed the cap and a small cylinder dropped out. This cylinder the size of a pencil maybe 3" long with an "O" ring 1/3 of the way up and a 1/8" needle on the other end. I replaced the wore out "O" ring and the leak stopped. Question what does this cylinder do.

Nice setup you have on your machine. Funny thing since I had the Cab put on.....no snow. However, I have been out in it when the weather was in the 20's and I can see now I will not longer need a coat when snowblowing the driveway. Getting in the tractor is a bit different and will take a little time to get used to. I am looking forward to the next snow storm just so I can play in the toy (err tool).

Sounds like you have as many dogs as I do....6 here.

Want to add the luxury of a top and tilt to my 750. It has no FEL on it. Checked with Gearmore and they are real proud of their kit for $2100 and JD wants more.<br>

I prefer the tractor manufacturer for perfect matches and the best performance. If you are going to be using it mainly for digging you might want to look at a 7800 with the stronger rigid frame.

Part of finding a good price for a used tractor and it's value is to price new. I'd look at the price of the L-2800 as well as the L-3400 if you want a little larger engine as well as a better PTO system and better frame system supporting the backhoe. New normally comes with low rate financing options so some times there is a benefit to buy new.

We have an F-2100 with well over 11,000 hours on it still working for lawn duties with a 72" deck. I'd not be to worried over the hours as a diesel is far better off to be run, I'd have concerns over the condition of the deck. Often they get neglected under the covers and the idlers will set up from grass clippings and water build up and destruct the bearings as well as corode the deck and cause weak pans that might need to be patched or to be replaced.
