Looking at your profile, you have horses so you will probably want the loader on all year, so nix the quick attach if that is the case.<br>

I like the quick attach approach on smaller tractors targeted at home owners so they can change the implement from a blade to a blower should they eventually become dissatisfied with the blades results.<br>

I like having no snow banks from a plow that a blower gives you, but hey that's not a problem here with temps in the 50's this week ;-).<br>

You will have problems with head clearance if you add a backhoe to the 2305, not to mention warranty issues if the aftermarket B/H damages the tractor.

I have owned both green and orange and I have to say that Kubota certainly offers the best, most user friendly tractor/loader/backhoe packages on the market.

If you cannot locate a 4110/4115, take a closer look at a BX23, it might be about perfect for your needs.

Ben, it would be good to have a 3pt counterweight available when you need it. An easy way to make one is to buy a drawbar at you farm supply store. It's the kind that fits between your lower 3pt arms and costs about $25. You can build a form around it so that you can pour concrete into it to make your counterweight. Mine is about 1500 lbs but I would have preferred about 1000. Then before the concrete has cured set two beefy angle iron's vertically to attach the upper control arm. If you have a mix plant nearby you can probably get them to fill it with leftover mix from some other job for little or nothing.

Loaded tires will also lower the center of gravity a bit more than wheel weights because the weight is nearer the ground. Here's a link that shows how filling of tires works.

Got the arm and plate today.
It has the pawl installed as a unit.
Question:
Are the two bolts that hold the plate
to the trans box threaded in?
There isn't a pair of nuts in there
I have to worry about?

Big Bee has a brush mower with 4 wheels, the blades are set a bit lower though also, the idea is to cross a finish mower with a brush mower, the blades still swing on the carrier, but the deck floats on 4 wheels, still 3 point mounted. I don't think they have a web site, they are in Red Bay AL.

I bought some land last year and there is an old tractor on it. It is in pretty bad shape, but my dad thinks he wants it to fix it up. I cannot find out what it is though. My dad thinks its a 1954 IH. The serial # is 31525-S. I have been on different antique tractor sites, but cannot locate that #. It has the two front tires close and also had hydraulics. Any help with the serial # would be appreciated. Thanks.

It was one of the over the counter gas cartridges farmers buy.

It was not so much the problem of the cartridge as it went in by dead grasses and the hole is suspose to plugged imeadately with a sod wad and that did not happen.

I would not put any thing that burns or can be ignited down a hole under, near, by my house anywhere.

Reminds me of a story Jerry Clower telling about flushing a nest of rats out of a hole with gasoline and a match... a hundred burning balls of fur running toward the hay barn...

My tractor dealer in michigan called berlon and they said they would send me a new plate angle iron,and it would be my problem to have it replaced at my expense,the new plate angle iron would not cure the problem,the frame itself also has to be straighted.It would still destroy the angle and frame just as before if it hit a rock or man hole cover,I should not have to pay a dime to repair this brand new equipment,this equipment has a bad design and the dealer should stand up for their customer,thanks Lee

If the new Medicare Part D or drug coverage is something for you or a loved one be sure you do a search and do not depend on your pharmacy, insurance agent or anyone else. I have had at least one insurance company tell me the Medicare's web site is not accurate in comparing plans and if you test if for yourself today and come back a couple of days later the results will be different. I don't know if that is true or not. <br>

There is much variance between plans, even plans with the same company and from state to state. With a couple one plan could be best for him and another for her. Next year it could be totally different.<br>

Any opinions about the 300cc Polaris Hawkeye? I am not sure I need something as big as the Sportsman 400. I just need to ride 1/2 mile into the woods and patrol 30 acres every now and then.

I will agree with Art I have a 1956 Allis Little G that we have hooked the clutch for ever except for just one winter of not doing it that I had to go in and bust loose the clutch when all other ways of breaking it loose did not work. As a kid I can remember doing it on all clutched equipment during those times of new usage.
