You need a different top link that you can turn in and out for different equipment. Should be able to get one at a Fleet-Farm or similar type store.
Need to be able to turn it to shorten it so when you bring the blade up, it comes up higher.

I guess what I'm asking is: Has anyone else mounted one of these on a 1210. If so should I be looking at any safety issues? As you can tell I'm new to this equipment and the lack of any kind of documentaion makes me cautious. I see allot of experiance in these groups. Figured it would be better to ask than have troubles.

In the past i've noted that in stones the PTO units tend to throw them where the ground drive doesn't. Grass seed normall only needs 1/4 inch of loose soil so you might want to be sure you won't be doing more then needed. PTO might need more wear replacement parts because of the positive drive.

Sprayed on inulation lot higher here (NC)and less R-value. I'd use bats and make sure to install vapor barrier. T one eleven is about $25 a sheet (3/8) here. Sheetrock awful cheap but dings up easier. You could install metal four foot up (metal about $2.10 running foot by 3'). If we put rebar in the floor we have to put in a grounding rod and ground all the rebar if there's a chance of any live stock in the barn. Hope you put a vapor barrier down before pouring floor if not might want to seal floor good befor finishing.

Aw geez Grinder, more to deal with now huh. Its's a shame an old geezer like me can't do a little research, get on his tractor and do a good deed for himself and his neighbors without some jerk suing over something that was probably his own fault. Our subdivision is called Riverview subdivision and is registered with the county. It is supposed to have an owners association but we never have meetings. One of us gathered money from each of us and had rock put on the road twice and that's all that has been done. My wife does research for a lawyer so I will try to get some free advise from him. Man, this is taking all the fun out of the road work. Bummer.<br>

Hey doc, I understand the flat road idea and use it on my driveway because of the way the land lays. It's important to look way beyond the road when deciding how to grade it. I watch it when it is dry and I watch it when it rains. The water flow tells a lot if you just look and it tells me this road needs a lot of work.

Note to file...Install the 40amp alternator upgrade kit BEFORE installing the cab. It will eliminate 6 hrs of work dis-assembling and re-assembling the cab to access the relay under the cowl.

I have a JD 790 with an electrical issue. I have full voltage to the ignition switch but it drops to below 1 volt when switched on. I have ensured that ground is good and I have thouroughly cleaned all connections, etc. I cannot get voltage to the fuse block. What am I missing? Is there some kind of fusable link or something?

I have to retract my statement above. I don't have the new model #'s straight yet. I thought we were talking about filling the tires on the 4115 replacement, not the 2210 replacement.<br>

I think you are better off using wheel weights with 12 inch rims on the rear. If you have 15 to 16.5 inch rims it is still iffy in my book. <br>

I don't think, based on my experience with this class of tractor, that you get as much weight IN the tires as you can get ON the tires, especially if you are using Rim Guard which is not as dense as a calcium solution.

Corvetteguy, I have a NT254 which is a Jinma 254 and you have a Jinma 180. I have not seen a JM-180 but if it is like mine the lever that locks the rear wheels together is on the right side below the seat on the housing just above the axle housing. There are two bolts that hold the bracket with the pivot pin and lever. Mine did not leak when I removed the bolts. It is a small bracket and the bolts are hard to get to. What the lever does is to push a rod sticking out of the rearend housing in and that locks the rear wheels together. All the pivot pin does is to hold the lever against the bracket so the lever can push the rod in with a cam action. Yes, you don't need a roll pin just the bolt and you can double nut it or use locktite on it. Make it just tight enough that it don't have slop when you rotate the lever and remount the bracket and lever assy. Be sure to grease the cam area on the lever and put a dab of grease on the ball end of the rod sticking out of the rear end housing. <br>
I have an idea. If you want me to I will take a photo of mine and post it as a Tractor Mod. on Chinese Tractor Owners Association web site. I am not sure if it is like yours or not. Affordable indicates that you have to remove the hyd. lift box so maybe you do on your tractor. <br>
Ok, if the shaft has slipped into the housing take a strong magnet and put it against the end and wiggle it around while pulling and work it back out. Clean off the shaft real good. Clean the hole in the lever real good. Now take a long thin bladed utility knife and hold it against the shaft at the housing with the pin hole aligned so you can put a pin in it when you slip the lever on. Now hold the knife blade hard against the shaft and work the lever on the shaft and install the pin.<br>
Call Affordable at their shop to see if the JM254 and JM180 use the same method of mounting the lever.

in answer to a few of the most recent question on a L series with my L3130 hst when cutting the grass when the ground is soft during the spring I remove the loader to help reduce the weight some and also make sure I'm not in 4x4 during turns. The R4 tires are a comparmize between the rut causing R1's and the lower traction turf tires. I also try to avoid running on the grass if the ground is wet and real soft.

I don't have a lot of call for critcal control of ground speed so I'm going on "old man" memory on this one. As far as maintaining ground speed the Grand L series has a cruise control lever on the left side by the gear shift. along with the digital intelipanel you can select the ground MPH display and return the cruise lever to the same posision by wacthing the digital display. or you can just feather the HST tredle while watching the display. What I do is set the RPM's for the PTO speed desired, then set the cruise Lever to the desired MPH, and back off on the cruise lever during turns then return it on straight aways. if I'm not mistaken though you have to watch it on grade changes, downhill it will overrun and uphill it will lag some. the govenor will try to keep RPM's the same but I think I have to make some adjustments every now and then.

My question is does this have back hoe capability?
Is 15 horsepower enough?
Does Yanmar make this for this model? After market?????

Now we are into Caddy Shack 3 territory. What happens if you get into an extensive network of tunnels, does the ground open up and swallow you up? A large woodchuck tunnel network could crack the foundation on the barn.
