Kioti is not a Korean Kubota. Kioti predates Kubota in the tractor business and the are their own engine designs. They set up new dealer network a few years back and claim that parts are available overnight. If you want more you can check the Daedong site.
As people on this site know I am not a dealer just a SAE engineer.

DT; Your owners manual should have a section on breakin, I'd follow what it recommends. I've never liked to run a fresh engine real hard for the first day or two, but others will say the opposite. Running the engine at full RPM to operate the backhoe really is'nt necessary, about 2/3 to 3/4 of full throttle is plenty. I can be jerky enough at 2/3. Frank.

Artic air mass? Yeah, we had it squating over Iowa for a couple of weeks. It was only on Friday that our temp climbed into double digits. Quite a few mornings were in the -5 to -15 degree F range. I had delayed in spreading the insulation I bought. I had it in teh attic, I just didn't spread it since I hate that part of the job. So there I was, -10 outside and I'm in the attic spreading insulation... Doh!!

With a good mower deck, you will be surprised at the quality of cut you can get. I run a JD4310 with a 72" mid mount that cuts as good or better than my JD325 with 54" deck. But a lot depends on what soil, grass, consitions you will run.

If your grass grows fast and you don't get it cut often, you can get windrowing (need to pick up the clippings). They are heavier so if you have soft soil that hold moisture, you can get ruts and tracks. I don't get ruts, but I don't mow when the ground is soggy.

I think most manufacturers charge for an upgrade to R4 or turf tires. I've got a JD and I think it was a $400 upgrade to R4's. Good choice for me. They only leave marks when the ground is soggy.

Well, I have a 4310 with 72mmm, 430 loader, rear blade, etc and I love the tractor. It cut my mowing time in half. The MFWD is awesome in the snow. You won't go wrong with either tractor.

If you put one scarifier on your box blade and pull it along the ground it will cut a bit of slit. Then you could manually insert the wire in the slit. A knife like scarifier would probably work better. Maybe you could buy an extra and grind it down. Just some random thoughts on a cold, sunny day.

Electrically speaking there is none (provided your generator is of the type that would require a transfer switch that did not switch neutral) - unless you want to argue about the direction of electricity flow in the circuit used to connect the generator (like a welder or dryer plug) and the suitability of that setup. The reason that transfer switches are used is so that it is physically impossible to connect the generator to the utility supply (on the hot legs). Accidentally connecting generator L1 and L2 to utility L1 and L2 is extremely dangerous (as I am sure everybody is aware of by now). In addition to connecting the generator to the house supply, transfer switches mutually isolate the utility supply and vice versa when the utility supply is reconnected - they isolate the generator, accidential connection is made impossible.

I like the idea of taking off the top link. I would think the blade would no longer dig in. I wonder if it would ride up the snow though. Also, would the blade lift work, and the blade go up with the 2 point. I'll give it a try next snow.

I have a 2304 and the lift quit twice. First time I took it apart (plate beneath the the seat) and changed the filter and fluid. Fill and check points are by the shifter in front of the seat. Takes about five gallons. Worked fine after that, for a while. Second time it quit I again changed the filter but it still did not work. I drained the fluid again and let it drip for a long time. Near the end, thick "goop" drooled out, composed primarily of what apppeared to be a very fine mud. Rice paddy stuff? Filled it up again and it still did not work. Took apart everything, including the pump, all hoses and other parts I can't even describe. Put it back together and it worked fine, for a while. Worked one day, would not work the next. Then the next day, after running it a t high revs, it worked fine again. Has worked well since. So many small passages in the system, I think the "goop" may clog them once in a while. Next summer I will let it drip several hours. Hope this helps a little.

Sorry to disagree Art, but that's what glow plugs and manifold heaters (thermostart) are for. Heat rises, so heating the head area still leaves you with cold thick oil down in the pan. Hard on the starter and battery and oil pump, and won't rise quickly to critical cylinder areas. So since it's inarguable that heat rises, it only makes sense to heat the oil pan. Parasitic heating will warm the water jackets, and cold start assist will take care of the head area.

Not always an easy job as they work in an area that's easy to get rusted. You won't really know till it's out if it is feasible to straighten and it should be kept near perfect as it is a good sized piece that is rotating and could cause other parts to gain in metal fatigue if left out of balance to vibrate.

You could buy plans or a kit or a complete King Midger car. They were advertized in Mechanix Illustrated magazine for one and other mags as well. There is a club for them and you can still get plans to build one.

Why is it that you have a green 790 in your pics? Wasnt that pretty spendy also for that sized rig?
Your pic number three shows a kit tractor. Is that the same Kioti in pic four? If so, hmmmm that would be a reason Kioti would be less, they didnt need to pay american workers to assemble. How long apart (if those two tractors are one and the same) were those pictures took? Your pic four has a tractor in it that looks rather weather beaten and faded.
We all have are reasons for buying what we do. One of mine was I work at CNH and get a discount. When comparing apples to apples though I have never found Kubota around me to be cheaper than New Holland. Of course both are never cheaper than Deere. Personelly I would never spend the money on a deer but who am I to tell some else that they should buy a lesser tractor. Deere is the tops in many area's. I wouldnt spend a penny on a Kioti. Not that I know anything about it or have any beef with it. Case corp. and Deere have employed many of us for a very long time and I would like to help keep that tradition going.
PS. I just banned Walmart from the stores my family can shop, I have had enough with the also.

The original Farmall "Cub" built in the fourtys and fiftys had a PTO that ran backwards. It was a small diamater shaft with more splines than a standard 540 of today. Frank.
