On Finish mowers do they come with the pto runnig both ways?? Clockwise and Counterclockwise?? I thought I read that on some of the import the PTO spins Backwards to most??

It would be a rare mower that has the input shaft turning opposite.

There are many tractors out there that do turn oppsite.

You can get gearboxes to change rotations if you have something specific you want to do. ....

You need to rotate the PTO shaft from the mower 180 degrees. That'll fix the problem. ....

I have used many,many, farm implements and other devices
that use a power take off for power. I have never seen
one that runs counterclockwise. This is in the last 40
years anyway. There may be tractors that do it counter-
clockwise or have dual capability, but I have not seen it.
I assume somewhere some type of adapter is available to
change direction, but I dont see the purpose.

From what I have read and models I was told to avoid, I believe the Kubota B6000 is such a machine -- PTO spins opposite, requiring model specific rear rotary attachments. Easy to see why this model wasn't sold for that long... ....

The original Farmall "Cub" built in the fourtys and fiftys had a PTO that ran backwards. It was a small diamater shaft with more splines than a standard 540 of today. Frank. ....
