My last tranmission oil change,(DK 35) took around 11 gallon.I do not drain the fluid in the loader.

Has anyone here had any experience with the 1/3 yard PTO mount concrete mixers? I've got a little electric 1.5 cf mixer, and it is fine for smaller projects, but I've got a lot of 'mid size' (1-2 yards max) projects around the backside of my house, meaning I either need to mix it back there or pump it. I think I could cover the cost of the mixer in saved pump fees, while the concrete cost is about the same (if you count my back) :). The advantage is that I can do these 2 yard projects without having to stack up 3-4 of them and pour them all at once, with the additional manpower that requires. Right now, concrete is rationed here, but I can buy bagged cement all day. Homeowners pretty much can't buy concrete, only the bigger concrete contractors are getting on the waiting list. Plus you pretty much can't get a pump truck here and out for less than $350.00. (That was for a 12 minute footings pour!).<br>

How well do they work? Any recommendations (there appears to be 2 'main' models. I would need a remote for raising the bucket back up, is there a simple setup I could plug into my BH90 connector ports to give me a valve that I could hook up the single action cylinder to? <br>

I'm looking at a CC 7205 for mowing, tilling on 5 acres. What is the towing capacity of this tractor? I would like to use it to move a boat (about 3500 lbs) arround the property and give rides on a old hay wagon.

my 4 wheel drive stopped working today - it was in gear and I just noticed the from wheels were not pulling - messed with the shift lever and it seems ok - it goes in and out of gear fine but nothing else seems wrong, the front wheels turn as if the are not in gear - what should I look for or avenue to take to resolve this problem - thanks (the tractor is a L 4310 not L2350)

Of course it was coach. Twelve hours to Tokyo and then 3 1/2 more to Beijing. I was sure jealous of the people in business class. :) I suppose I could have upgraded with frequent flyer miles but I took my wife along and spent 60,000 on her ticket. My two daughters also went along.

I contacted Directv last year and asked to speak to their customer retention group. They gave me one Tivo receiver and two new receivers for $99 total including installation of the dual Lmb for the dish. I just had to keep it for a year to work off the promotion.<br>

I have 44 wooded acres...there's no pavement in site, and with a 1000' driveway, there won't be anytime soon! The little ones usually have rubber tracks, and I'd think those would be rather minimal impact on pavement, yard, grass, etc anyways, right?

I have the zetor, which is not a compact tractor, with a FEL...so I have all that for getting things around.

What I want to do now is be able to dig my own drainage trenches, landscaping work, burying more conduit, etc.

I have about 16" of dirt on my property, then it is all rock, so I can't really dig well into it with a true tlb, let alone a 3PT hoe or a mini excavator...so, I envision using it more for the odd job every now and again.

I'd like to clear a few acres of land for a pasture, over a period of years I suspect, no big hurry, and with a three of some size in every square yard or so, there'd be many stumps to bring up. A dozer would be best for that I think, I hire one in now when I need it, but I grow tired of hiring one in...and also want to work on my own schedule.

Is digging ability all in break out force, or does it matter more on the machine it is attached too? I'm sure mass of the host machine matters, I'd think so anyways, and hence curious on comparing a mini-ex with a 3pt hoe which has similar breakout forces, cylinders, etc. My tractor and hoe would be over 10,000 total together I suspect....with loaded tires, the FEL, chains, etc. The min ex's are a third of this at best, in my low end price range.

All of this talk has me thinking of fabing up some skids for my rear blade. I haven't used skids before due to my topography and how the snow setles. But it would be good shop time and an excuse to use the welder... It would also help keep rocks out of the grass.

I've got a 4310 and the loader is off most of the time in Summer. I put on when I need it and then pull it off right away. I have a 72" mid-mount mower so having the loader off is really nice. I have to maneuver around trees, landscaping, hills, fences, etc. So having the loader off is best for me. It goes on and off in a snap.

I drop my loader on a concrete pad in my shop. I haven't had any problems with leakdown, but it's pretty new yet. I was timid at first and didn't have anyone watching me. So I took my time. Once I took it off and put it on once, I was like "this is so easy, sweet!!"

That's my story and I'm sticking too it.

If you're interested in selling that combination outright, I'm in Pittsburgh and have been looking at the same setup (new) at my local Kubota dealer.

I think the price he gave you is about right considering he'd probably try and sell it for around $8900.

Many engines have tight chanels in the block and head. It is difficult to fill the engines correctly and they need to be power filled. I might suspect a chanel has not been drilled properly if it has always stayed hot.

Like Art suggests check the machine with another temperature gauge. A temperature gauge is just a thermal couple. It can go, will go and can be incorrect from day one. Years ago I would weld my own thermocouples for experiments. I can not tell you how many were bad or went bad. You are welding two dissimilar metals so it is the nature of the beast. Like brasing steel.

Chris, the 2210 suits my needs reasonably well. However, the loader does not work well for snow removal. The slit pipe installation has been discussed here in the past and would help. But the real problem with the loader, is that does not roll the snow to the side like a blade would. I actually use my box blade, going in reverse to clear most of my snow. Unless it gets too deep, then I use the FEL to move it and pile it. A 5� rear blade that can be angled would work even better than the box blade, except for having to twist around to look behind you all the time.

If I had only one choice for a landscaping implement, it you be the box blade. It allows you to rip up compacted soil, move it around, and level it off. Matter of fact, I just used my box blade to reclaim another 1/4 acre from the alfalfa and gophers about a month ago. Couple things I don�t like about mine is that at the time I purchased my box blade, the sub-CUT sized implements were not readily available, so the attachment points on my box blade are for a true CAT-1 3-point, and not the limited CAT-1. As a result, it does not lift as high. Which also limits how much you can rock it forward and back with the top link. The other thing is with the 2210, I do not have position control the 3-point, which would be helpful with grading tasks.

The 22NF is an odd size as the plates are smaller than the standard 6". The battery you found may be the only sealed unit sold. The price reflects the rarity. I checked the Deka guide as they make a large selection of AGM and gell batteries.
One option would be to go to a low gassing Ca based battery. The discription is in the Deka guide.
If it is any consilation the JD 750 and JD 955 have the same problem. Placing the battery over the front axel and next to the hot radiator is not a good idea for a battery.

I would not go with a light 7 ft cutter. The larger deck makes them suseptable to bending. They are a lot heavier than the 6 ft. With the width I would not go with a single rear wheel. My 287 BH requires 55 HP. The weight make it trouble even for a larger frame tractor like my MF65. I would recommend you either limit you self to the 6 ft or get a heavy 60 hp tractor.

Heard about it, had it put on, made the matter worse. No explanation from Kubota why some B3030's do not vibrate. Have driven one that doesn't so they realy do exist.

I have the BX2750B on the B7610 and it works great. I have a 1000 foot paved drive. It even handles the large parking area I have with no problem where I have to keep blowing snow over again.

They are available without the backhoe but the most favored package is with the hoe. Depending on needs you might be better off with a standard none industrial strength unit and those do come in the hydro or you could move up to the L-48 which also come with a hydro.
