It has been over a year now since we got the place. Just thought I would post a follow up since I found this going back through some older threads. We moved onto the ranch last this last June. Found out the rumors about our well running dry on water were in fact TRUE. Arrgggg! We have since pumbed in a new and 2nd well to the water system and now have plenty of water. Have definitely been busy between trying to sell our prior home as well as fixing and cleaning up around the ranch. In fact we are adding a little more acreage and I have leased out some tracts to a hunt club. The girls are all in school here now and enjoying it and blending right in. Joined a local church and help them out from time to time. Now I just need to get a Ranger XP and a larger (80 hp or more) tractor and a 10 - 12 ft. rotary cutter.

I would imagine that you have fixed the problem by now. Just curious as to what you found. One of the guys I let cut hay on the ranch owns an IH 484 & 784, and his brother owns an IH 464. Might be a good bit of info. to keep for future reference.

The edges are made of Ultra High molecular weigh polyethylene(UHMwPE. You can buy the material in strips of any width up to 12 ft and length about the same. US plastics probably have it in stock. There are a few other suppliers around also if you check the web.
The strip to fit will likely cost you about $35 and shipping. I am sure if you find a dealer it will be more. Your should be able to easily drill holes in the strip to mount it. UHMWPE drills like butter.

I have a 46.5" (I think) toothbar for my 48" bucket. I ordered it last year through Carver Equipment, although it's actually manufactured by W.R. Long. I paid $290, including shipping. I've seen 'em for more and for less, so it's worth shopping around. It's been great for digging out honeysuckle, pulling stumps, etc. Good luck.

I have the Ventrac 4200 w/ 31 hp turbo diesel. Bought it 3 years ago. What a machine. This unit really did perform well when we got 3 feet of snow last year. The diesel engine rarely ever labors. I have a versa-loader I'm interested in selling. Anybody interested?

I own a B7100d and I am having clutch problems.I have tried the freeplay adjustments to no avail.I can push on clutch pedal and sometimes it will not dis-engage clutch plate,at other times it will dis-engage and then re-engage while the clutch pedal is down,roaring and vibrating the whole time. Any suggestions? Anybody ever replace one of these clutch assemblies?

Driving in some of those countries is scary. I used to fly to Israel periodically for a customer. The first trip I went with an international drivers license with the intent on renting a car at the hotel. The cab ride from the airport convinced me not to drive around Tel Aviv. Lanes and lights are advisory only it seems. A good friend of mine got killed in a wreck there a few months later. Scary stuff indeed.

I recently bought a TC30 with FWD and the 7308 loader with a 5ft. finishing mower. I've been satisfied with the tractor itself though not as happy with my dealer. On the plus side NH is running a special 60mo 0% offer on the TC29D,TC30 and TC33D if purchased with a front end loader (FEL). So when using someone else's money for free go for the kit and koboodle.<br>
The FEL has been useful from leveling dirt to knocking dead branches from trees. Only negative is that they load your tires which might mark your lawn if the ground is wet.<br>
The cost was $16,500 with hydro, FWD and FEL. I paid an extra $1,440 for mechanical cruise, new 6 ft. box blade and a used 5 ft. finishing mower.

Problem Solved! Thanks to the wiring diagram David sent me, I was able to make a diagnosis:

1. My HST had the same colors as the fuel warning light, according to the diagram.

2. Along with this, I kept saying to myself, "Wow, the dealership must have really done me right as far as leaving me with a full tank of gas, my fuel warning lamp hasn't even begun to light ....."

And so I filled the tank with fuel (after I ran out of gas in the front of my property, a nice little walk back to the garage and back to get the fuel) and the HST light went off, and I switched the lights and all is well.

I also realized that my tractor ran awfully cool, I had never seen the temp guage move. I then realized that it wasn't hooked up (the 3 prong hookup and brown wire were just dangling - I figured a part of some accessory I didnt have). It didn't just fall out either. I had to reroute the wires so that I could reach it and hook it up, and it appears to be working properly (showing the engine warm) as well lighting up when I run the tractor at night. Again, the wiring diagram led me to this ...

I wonder if this is the dealer or Kubota that failed me? Do the tractors arrive at the dealer wired and ready? It was no big deal once I figured it out, but ....

anyway ....thanks for all the help and my membership fee for this site has already paid for itself.

If you go the 4WD CUT route, I would suggest a John Deere equipped with high floatation Galaxy turf tires. These are generally used on golf courses. They are big and wide. They are offered as optional with JD.<br>

I've leveled out a number of arenas using my CUT which has oversize turfs in the front. I use my homemade pulverizer that has an expanded metal drum at the back. It really does a good job almost sifting the sand.<br>

Sounds like you may have some really loose sand. That's allot of money to just level an arena. Do you have any draft horses?<br>

I've pulled several posts both fence and sat. dish posts using the 3 pt hitch on the tractor. Just back up with the post between the lift arms and wrap a HEAVY chain around the post hook on to the lift arms and lift SLOWLY. I don't know how well this will work with a small tractor but a 5500 lb 50 HP Ford works well.

I don't know if there's excessive lash in the rear-end or tight bands. All I know is they knew about the condition before the 800-series went to market. It's unfortunate, because other than the clunk that will make you believe the drive train is about to poop. the truck drives and handles better than any other 1/2 ton I've driven. It's a great ride, extremely smooth and quite, untill you accelerate. Then....Clunk.

If your oil is foaming because it is sucking air through a return line it will look foamy right after you shut down, but clear up overnight. You can normally find the sucking line by applying 3-5 psi to your fill port and seeing where it comes out with soapy water.

If your oil is contaminated with water it will look milky and will not clear up.

A bypass valve is essentially a steel ball held in place by a spring. When the pressure gets high enough to overcome the spring the ball moves back relieving pressure. As soon as the pressure is relieved the spring forces the ball forward closing the bypass port. This cycling open to closed causes the chatter.

If your oil is not foaming or milky you can eliminate a couple of issues.

If your unit was delivered new it came with factory-installed oil in it, I doubt the factory put the wrong stuff in it.

My bet is you have a faulty valve or the pressure is set (above the pressure bypass) too high. The easiest thing to check is the pressure.

Your dealer needs to solve this problem by replacing the valve or setting the pressure. Your warranty was not free you paid for it. That�s why you bought new. Make the dealer fix it.

My mother would like to sell her B-2150 with 905 hours. It has no accessories, just the mower. She just sank $1000 in it for repairs, and it is in very good condition (except for a couple of bolts that are broken off or stripped under the mower mount). What would be a good starting price (and a fixed final price) for this Kubota?<br>

To an extent. That's why I refer to the "net" oil required to stroke out the cylinder. Because the rod occupies volume on the retract side of the cylinder, and the cross sectional area is a function of the square of the radius, it takes considerably more fluid to fill the stroke side than the retract side of the cylinder. The larger the diameter of the rod, the larger the net fluid required is. The "net" fluid required is the difference between the volumes on the two sides of the cylinder, stroked out /and retracted. This fluid comes from the circuit reservoir, being the tractor in this case.

Once the lines are charged with fluid, you can replace the fluid that stays in the lines and not have a draw from the reservoir. The cylinder will always draw because of the difference in the volumes between stoked and rettracted.
