I recall reading somewhere, woodworking mag.?, about a fellow who made a plywood box, lined with sound deadening insulation, to muffle his shop vac., the only problem he seemed to have was with the vac. wandering to the side of the box and creating a vibration/rattle noise from the contact with the wood. I remember he had an outlet hose that vented the output side to the outdoors.

If I was working in the basement I might be tempted to do something like that but the shop is a good 100' from the house.

As for the 2210 ROPS being too short for a BH,
1*the label states it is good for models 4010, 4110, and 4115, which can have BH's

1*It can be Good for models 4010, 4110, and 4115 and yet be wrong if these models have or add a BH.
Kubotas set up is a good example of this.
The short ROPS is good for all B models however if a BH is applied to the tractor a different higher ROPS is required for that application.
I don't know for sure; can't swear by it but I would assume the same probably applies to JD and the other tractor brands also.

Letting anyone know who reads this thread that the problems have been solved... First, the exhaust was robbing most of the power... A new muffler and pipe took care of the power problem... Next, the short hose on the suction side of the hydro pump that goes to the cooler had a 2" crack in it allowing it to suck air... Replaced this and almost home, but found the main line on suction side had a hose that was loose, tightened the clamps a bunch and --- nor more leaks, hydrostat does not stall out and I have power to spare...

I'm a hardscape landscaper. I would not recommend 6" of topsoil. First it's more than is needed and secondly, it will take 1 year to compact enough to get on it with any machine (unless you roll it in lifts and/or alot). 3-4" should be sufficient. You need to compensate for the wood fiber contnent now and over time. Decomp of the wood fiber (including leaves) will deplete the nitrogen in the soil.

With an old IH Cub, you won't have a 3 point hitch. There were some older disks that you never raised, just dragged them around and you chewed up everything going from field to field (the road also). They were usually about 6 ft. wide. The other trailer type with gage wheels requires hydraulics and generally are also bigger.

The TSC stores sell KK brand and they are about $600.00. I've looked at other brands and they are about the same money if not more. That is why I suggested mowing first.

For doing food plots with an ATV, some stores sell tow behind disks which only have a single row of disks. Northern Tool sells one for $159.00 that has an adjustable width for 30 -38" wide. I doubt if it would do a good job for actual breaking up of soil but in your case would mangle the grass. They also sell more expensive ATV attachments.

I think you could buy a single bottom moldboard plow lots cheaper and flip the soil over. Then come back with the tiller and do a finish job. I bought my single bottom plow used for $150.00 Mine is a Pittsburgh brand.

1* I bought a BX23 last year
2* I have just over 300 hours on the tractor
3* there has been a few times when I wished for more power from the FEL and back hoe.
4* If you are thinking of going upscale from the BX23 I would look at the B7610 with the upgraded FEL instead of the B7510.

3* Haven't ran into this issue with mine. Even if I might it's not a big enough concern to me to have warranted the extra cost of a larger tractor FEL and BH.
4*I also vote for skipping the B7510 and going to the B7610 or the B2410 if going from a BX23!
In my book the 7510 is to much less tractor than the 7610 or 2410 and too little more tractor than the BX 23.

Tommy I have having a similiar problem with my Jinma 224, it has 56 hrs on it and wont turn over a bit, I have cheked the battery and pto nothing. Got any suggestions?
Also what would be a fair price for this tractor ince it it running again, I want a bigger one.

Yes, there IS a co-relation between the above, and the clever, devious mind.

The other thing that seems to work well in my house also is that the two dogs (Jack Russel Terriers, Parson Russel actually) that live in the house with us, 'Deputy Dog' and 'The life of Rylie', both seem to have associated certian completely inoccuos words with actions which some guest seem to find questionable, maybe even objectionable......

The female, Rylie, will develop an irresistable notion to, errr, ummm, mate, with the nearest ankle at the mere mention of the word "rabbit", and will become a rather selfish (and noisey about it) with her toys at the mention of the word "spoiled".

The male, Jackson, aka Deputy Dog, amongst other little tricks, gets downright territorial at the mention of the word "pillows", such as when showing a 'guest' to their room, and you ask "Do you have enough pillows?", suddenly the dog has a very comfy bed for the night, and the 'guest' gets the (lumpy) futon.

A cleverly introduced word, at just the right point in a conversation, can dramatically shorten a visit.

Every HST I have owned has required a fluid and filter change every 200 hours or so. If you have run it for years it is probably way overdue.

Oil does break down over time, especially when overheated.

You are correct, all 3 lights should come on momentarily before you start the tractor. Check the bulb first.

I think Frank is right. More weight on the blade will make for even more wheel spinning.

It sounds like you are running out of traction and and I don't see a box scraper on your profile.

If you can get more weight on the rear of the tractor, that would help. You might also try a set of tire chains.

I have a similar problem to clean up. I have 30+ year old visqueen on the ground with 6 inches of volcanic rock on top of it. I have been back blading it into piles with the FEL and then scooping it up.

They don't go underneath but the go into two small square wholes that are made for them. Are there also two pieces of band stock about 1/4" thick and about 1 1/2" wide with little feet on the ground end and they are to control the bucket roll back and also to support the loader and slide into the sides of the bucket.

Also check for oil in the brake drum/housing.There should be no oil in the brake drums..
The 850 has dry drum brakes.
There is a seal on the pinion shafts that can leak oil into the brake drum and cause the brakes to not work well.

Seal up the doors, windows, etc. and set off some flea bombs and fog the entire area. Stay out of the area for a week or two if possible. If not, do not go around bare foot after fogging. The bomb will kill the active live fleas but they lay eggs that will hatch later and start the cycle all over again. If the hatching fleas have nothing to feed on (read bite) they die off. Each time a flea bites, it will lay more eggs.

SEE THE BACK YARD THIS FALL. Thats about the next time I am going out to that place! TALK ABOUT UNREAL!!!! Your not going to believe me AGAIN! I wear glasses and can barely see thru these scratched up things right? Wrong! From 50 yards away, looking at the filtered light coming thru tree's(the sun that is low in the sky right now 6.30 pm I am looking at a shed I have way outback. I see little darts flying towards the door and disapearing. Of course the first thing I think of is hornets! I walk back there and count 10 flying in and 7 OUT in 15 seconds. I will bet you that I do not open that door till about November!!! How much you all want to bet? LOL I should really go get a better look at em though. On friday my new neighbor was starting his garage and a swarm of (the good guys) honey bee's took up resisdence in a tree right where he was staring his building. He told me that he hoped they moved on by Sat. morn. (Which they did) I actually like the honey bee's. I wont kill oe of their nests since they seem to be on the decline around here and pollination of many apple tree's depends so much on thos critters. Like I said, I should go get a better look at what is going in and out of that shed. Wonder if that swarm found a new place to start a hive? Here is a fact. Just to prove that I am not crapping you all. Come Nov. first (remember this guys) I will go out open that shed up and take a picture of the nest in there. If it is he hornets, I would bet you it is going to be an impressive paper nest!
YUK!!!! I hate hornets so darn much its frightening! Never never have I ever had a year like this one! Look back at last years posts (of mine) You never heard me fear them like you here me this year. WHY? because this is the year from hell for me with flying stinging little crappers!.
