I used this forum to get advice on my tractor purchase a year ago and appreciated the advice.<br>

I bought a JD 4115 with 140 hours on it and love it. It has a FEL, and mmm.<br>

I have used it extensively for a year only having to replace the battery.<br>
<br>
I went out to start it today and noticed a large puddle of hydraulic fluid on the mower and floor. The source is one of the fittings going into the power steering assy. There are four fittings which are extremely close together and it looks like you have to remove 2 of them to get to the others. The problem is to remove the 2 rear most fittings, which run to the steering cylinder, you have to remove the 2 front most fittings, one of which is the feed from the rearend and the other which runs to the pump. The one coming from the rearend is leaking at the compression fitting in front of the steering assy.<br>

It looks like I need a crows foot socket to loosen the inner 2 fittings, and that will be a "very" tight fit.<br>

Has anyone ever had this problem? I believe the compression fitting is possibly cracked, otherwise why the sudden leak.<br>

Any input on how to disassemble or other info. is appreciated.<br>

Your deal should be able to get you what you need. Even if it is all sold a kit they would be able to stock the valve and delete it from your total price.

OK here is a dumb question but the rear tires had the same air pressure and one tire was not bigger or smaller than the other? The reason i ask this is because I have seen way more tires miss matched (even if they have the same size on the side wall) than miss welded frames/ mounts.

I have r-4 with loaded tires with my 790 and have a similar problem. R 4 are not very good in snow reguardless of weight.<br>
I eliminated all traction problems with a set of tight automotive tire chains for the 14 x 8 r4 fronts ( you do not want to catch a tie rod/use many bungees)and a expensive set for the rear r4 "o"ring <br>
no spin and it saves the tires to boot.

I just bought a kubota G6200 HST Diesel, anyone have any thoughts about it, and what I should look to take care of soon. The tractor has 625 hours on it, any help would be great. Tks Wayne

the filter isnt very old,I`d say less than 100 hrs on it and the fluid.I dont know if there is a cooler or where its located.I could not find anything about a cooler in the manuel.Ive not noticed any sounds like squeeling either.

Hawk, I agree with your complaint on the 46 BH, but the cut will be Higher than the deck height. The bottom edge of the Deck itself, sits lower than the blades.
I bought a JD 212 as a mower, got it 1/3 the price of a MMM and knew it was going to be a hassle to swith between BH and deck.
The 1" per minute of piston travel on the main BH cyclinder is way too excessive and I have even called JD. Am not a Happy Camper.

I love my Tractor and YES! I am also having problems with the 46 BH main Cylinder leaking down, way too fast. 1inch per minute with 130 degree hydralic temp is suppose to be normal. B.S. I am raising Hell right now and was told it was valve that was changed to a different Manufacturer 5 years ago. My bucket, empty hits the ground before I can move to otherside of hole. It has a totally seperate pump for steering versus implements.
The 4115 other wise is a Super Tractor.

Tried the speed adjustment knob, no go. The loader hydraulics work fine. Could it be the strainer or filter?

I don't own a 2210, but from what I've heard they have proven to be a good tractor and a quite popular model. I've also heard Deere is coming with a replacement for it. I always am a bit shy of buying a new model that replaces a proven machine, I'd go for the 2210. So far as pricing, I'm sure the new model will cost more Best of luck. Frank.

I know nothing about diesel engines but I do know a gasser will lose power (sputter some too...) during acceleration up a hill, etc., if the timing is off.

Drive a car on a level road that slopes upward and if the timing is off it will lose power and slow down to the extent that it needs adjustment.

I'm pretty sure diesels have a timing adjustment.

My cement guru tells me an inch of foam per expected foot of frost. I am now using 2" foam doubled up. We get about the same frost penatration 4-5' without snow cover.
I don't think you will get much protection with 3/4".
Try it on a high dry spot and a low poorly drained spot.
I use a 4'x4'x4" pc.under an 18" round concrete pad.
Typically for Deck posts. Drainage is critical.

MURF: I don't agree about 2000 and newer having problems--this is my 3rd Ram and the '03 is by far the best one I've had. My '95 on the other hand was so bad Chyrlser bought it back; my '99 was a a litlle better but not much.

AV8R: You might be thinking of 1/2 tons becuase my 3/4's have pressed-in bearings. And the weight on either doesn't ride on the axle shaft, it rides on the rotor/hub; the axles go along for the ride just like in a front wheel drive car. In fact there is no weight on the axle as there is a u-joint.

AV8R: My dealer's parts guy says the '06 truck frames will be new along with a host of other things. I challenged him on it but he stood firm.

I have talked to Ford guys with 1 tons and they have the same problems with the front ends when used for snow plowing. I use a Boss v-plow which is severl hundred lb. over the allowable GVWCR for the front axle, and the diesel engine weighs almost 1000lb. more than a similar gas engined Ram so the problems are built-in from the get-go.

"poor soil" ??? down here in Mancelona we have "no soil", only blow sand.I was amazed to see that it came up as green and thick as it did. funny part is, it only came up like that where I went nuts with the straw [which was almost everywhere,12 bales on 1/2 acre].I did that since it has been so dry,and I have no way to water it.

The bucket on the BX 2200 I owned would only raise about 6' high. If you are going to rent or borrow a dump truck or high trailer you will have a problem. The specs show the loader will lift about 450lbs. but when I tested mine, it lifted 700lbs. Also, since time is money, the smaller machine takes longer to do the job.
