I would agree with Paulss that an equal number of grand cherokee owners seem to love it as hate it. When I was shopping the reliability on Cherokee wasn't great but it seemed to be mainly electronic problems, at that time fairly advanced. I don't know if they have the bugs worked out by now. But I would pay attention to the tow capacity of the these vehicles. The cherokee has decent tow capacity, and soon or later it always seems you are going to want to tow with your vehicle.

I've driven hydros in lots of farm equipment, combines, etc.where you need a precise speed to be most effecient, there also great in lawn equipment, but I've just never liked them in any size tractor. It's all matter of personal preference, If you like hydros that's great, do you need them, no you can do anything with gears that a hydro will do. I'm still kind of a basic fellow, I too have never owned a pickup with an automatic or electric windows. Frank.

They are very good tractors (Yanmars) and it should be a fine size for your property. You should be able to tell if it really has close to 300 hours by the condition and it should be really good with little wear on anything. The price sounds fair and it is what he is asking, cash talks, offer less. Certainly don't start above $11,000.

We use a combination of heat and cold ..... at the same time. So far it has broken the toughest ones loose.

Heat the whole area around the injector in the head as hot as you can get it with a torch, then use an upside down can of dust-off spray for electronics into the injector to instantly freeze the injector.

When you invert the can and spray you get a stream of the liquid, it is like like nitrogen or something.

When the head is that hot, and expanded, and you rapidly freeze just the injector, it usually shrinks enough, and the head doesn't, that it allows the injector to come loose.

I'm looking at a purchase on a 1989 L1 series, 3250 4WD, with approx. 1800 hrs and includes several implements including backhoe, frontend load, box blade. The price listed seems overpriced for an '89, so I thought I'd ask your opinion of value.<br>

The lawn and garden books don't talk by the hours but years only. The ag books run these size tractors at 350 per year with up to a ten percent add on for low hours which would fit this unit.

anyway, i starting to ponder if i want to build and barn or ad d on to my existing shed. its 16x20 right now and i was thinking of adding a 12x20 lean-to on it, but it was there when i bought the place and its sitting up blocks.

I've found all engines run different. Some seem to have different things that make them run better. There are some poor motor and hydraulic oils out there that in some engines you might just as well add the water. On the other side of some warrantee claims a friend called me one day and asked me to stop by where he works. They had a police cruiser in there with 2800 miles on it with a major sludge problem and a shot engine! The car took drives around the compound or stayed running at an idle 24-7 and it was only in service less then 90 days!

Sorry!I'd help ya if I could. Trouble is prices seem to vary dealer to dealer and what's a good price here in Maryland wouldn't be the same up your way.

For grins have one of the online tractor dealers price it out, and call one other Kubota dealer in your state. That's the best way to get a feel for pricing.
