Both my old 4300 & new 4310 hadhave the 430 loader. They both has a dumping problem. When moving the lever fully to the RHS dumping action occurs, then instantly stop while maintaining the lever fully. I now have 2 choice; (actually 3 if you count getting PO at the thing)1)either maintain then expecting it to resume after 5- 10 seconds 2) or release the lever, thus repush it again fully to the Right. Per my dealer & posted on the JD web site, JD designed it this way (what a crook) to relief pressure build up. This stopping action does not alway occur, but when it does I've not nothing nice to say. I have tried different engine RPMs & weigh loads to see if I could detect a pattern - nothing. When I get into a routine of scooping, shorttravel, then dump, I expect it to simply do as I command. Guess I live with it. Mudder

Ken, I would take those CRD reviews with a grain of salt. Many of those reviews were based on driving at 70 to 80 mph on the highway. The mileage on my Cummin drops like a simonized piano if you drive much over 60 mph and the sweet spot is about 47 mph running empty.

Here is a Canadian test that reported 27 mpg city and 35 highway. That sounds more in line with what I would think to be reasonable. With a few tweaks, I think 40 mpg would be easily within reach.

Had my first winter with my 4310 last winter and had no problems. I did let it warm up at least 5 minutes though to make sure the engine was warm. Had it down close to 0 F with no problems.

My old Oliver 550 was bad in cold temps. I'd have to let it warm up 10 minutes before the 3 pt would move.

Color between NH and CASE. Allot of power, torque and a 3cyl. vs. 4cyl between 35 and 40.

On my Kubota B7610 I have the 72" Woods grader blade with no liquid in the tires. I have had no problems moving full buckets of dirt with this set up. I have the Kubota Ballast box, but I have never found a condition where I would rather have the Ballast Box instead of the rear blade. I don't have any wheel weights either. The blade I have can rotate 360 degrees like yoopers as well, so it hangs far back, this might be different on a sub compact blade.

I just used my KK disk. This time after plowing! It sounded like I was disking a gravel pit, had a rock lodge inbetween disks and had to hammer it out. Bounced off many rocks we did not see large enough to lift disk off ground. Absolutely NO damage!! Unbelievable! The more I use my KK equipment the more I am starting to be hooked! I own a Woods brush cutter, I am very happy with it! Although I am starting to think I paid about 400 too much and could of got a KK with a slip clutch and been just as happy. My KK equipment now included a 84" landscape rake,box blade, 6' tiller, box disk, No problems with ANY of them. IMO, Will the name products probably be built better? YES. Am I happy with ALL my KK products? YES.
You make the call? I think KK will do you fine but make sure you compare apples and apples. Gaurding and a slip clutch will add to the bare bone costs of KK!

I would definitely consider a security camera and 24 hour videotape setup. It can make your neighbor a little more nuts at first but eventually they will avoid doing anything that might be captured on tape. You can purchase a high quality joy stick controlled speed dome camera for $1500 at 123cctv.com, a 24 hour tape recorder for $500 and install yourself.

All has been relatively quiet on the front with my neighbor. Rather than retaliate I have strategically placed umbrellas in my pool yard that totally block their view from me. It gives us both a break. Nothing illegal about umbrellas - also consider Luau grass table skirts ($15 for 9 foot section) to hang from edges of umbrellas for more privacy. Neighbor did called BOH about my compost, they came - there was no problem and they left. I have no problem showing my property to frequently called officials who get extremely annoyed with my neighbor when there never is a problem.

The new solar replacements for low voltage lights are a nice addition to any house. There are good deals on these - buy a ton of them and light your place up at night for security purposes. I think the best solution is to just outclass your neighbor by making everything as nice as possible.

I agree with Oneace, I have a TZ24DA with 89 hours. It's an excellent tractor but you have limits on ground clearance and lift height of the 3PH. With the TC you have more of everything, i.e, the 3PH lift capacity of the TZ24 is 700lbs and the TC24 is almost 1300lbs. The TC is a larger frame tractor.

The rut was probably a factor in the second incident you mentioned. If you entered that rut, the drag implement might dig deaper on that side and help grab/pull the tractor to the right.

Not being ballasted properly is another factor. Another factor is the use of cruise control. I never use the cruise control when I'm operating anywhere that is not a wide open field. There is no faster reaction time that taking your foot off the gas pedal on a hydrostat machine.

Odds are you had your braking foot resting on the floorboard like 99% of users including myself. It take time to understand you have a problem, realize you need to make a change like hitting the brakes, then move the foot from the floorboard to the pedal. Just like in a car. So if I'm running close to any objects, no cruise is used so I react instantly with the right foot on the drive pedals which can buy me time to get the brake foot moving.

Just my 2 cents.

It's not you. I had a friend that works at Deere look at the warranty info before I bought my 4310. The gas gauge and the tilt steering mechanism were the highest warrantied items. They were done on the cheap and the warranty claims prove it.

I had a similar email but US based for a rear mower deck I'm selling. I ignired it because I didn't get a warm fuzzy from them. If someone wants to use a cashier's check, tell them the terms include a $500 fee for storing the tractor for 120 days until the cashier's check has cleared and been verified. They won't go for it.

I thought I would bring this up for others who may of not experianced this yet. I learned something this weekend and it only took me 15 min. to figure out! While I was disking I came the the end of the field, I had my head up my butt and started to turn before the disk was totally out of the ground. I stopped my rig before any damage occured but could not figure out why my disk was NOT UP? I rubbed the tire a bit but not too bad (no cuts just a good abrasion) I got off the tractor and inspected the back end. Did not look like any damage was done so I jumped back up on her and lifted the three point handle. NOTHING!!! I could not believe it, all theses things were running thru my head that could of happened but none of them made any sense! Especially why the 3 point did NOT lift the disk in the first place. <br>
Here is the rest of the story!<br>
I actually DID pull up on the handle (to lift the disk before I started to make the turn) Problem was the handle I pulled on was for my extra hydraulics in the back! It seems that if this handle is activated that the three point hydraulics do NOT work? Quick fix? Put the handle back in its off position and then the 3 point works fine!<br>

For a short time there I was getting pissed, especially since I was NOT done with the field.
