On some tractors there is a fuel shut off at the bottom of the tank. It is normally a messy job and be prepared. Do fill the new filter with clean fuel before installing as it will prime much easier.

Murf, we do not have booth but our equipment is all over the field in many of the manufacturers areas do to the different brands we sell and I doubt that any of them would turn down an offer from such a great group to have them get together at there location. I unfortunatly just stop in at all of them while I make my rounds on a given day. I'd be more then glad to set it up for the meeting at one depending on time of it as to the appropriate refreshments and I'd be glad to supply.

I am looking into sealing my asphalt driveway 20'x 270'<br>
and would like to do it myself. I've been looking on the internet for sealants. With not much luck or should I be looking locally. Lowes or Home Depot? Or<br>
If I have a contractor do it what should I watch for?<br>

Understanding that no one has probably ever regretted building a barn that was too big, I must respectfully disagree (in theroy) with the conventional-wisdom of bigger is better. Bigger just encourages the accumulation of crap. I would give some serious thought to your intend use. Then I would make it slightly larger than needed. Build what you can afford. Why build an airport hanger?You'll just have to spend more money to fill it. And chances are, you wont really need half the stuff you fill it with. JMHO... Sorry, I probably sound like your wife;)

I have a BX2230 and I just recently bought a Land Pride 60 inch landscape rake and love it. You need a 60" to cover your wheel tracks when the rake is on angle. I paid $500 for it.

My rake is made especially for the BX model or Sub CUTS because of the limited lift on the Cat 1 3pt hitch. My rake has 12 inch teeth. I almost bought the bigger rake which has 16" teeth because I'm one that bigger is always better :) but glad I didn't. Any bigger and the rake would always drag even in full lift mode. And going thru any kind of dip would be impossible. I was also concerned that the smaller model wouldn't be heavy enough to move the material that I wanted to. Not a problem. Just lengthen your top link a bit and it will dig in all you want or need.

It's great for smoothing, moving material and raking out rocks.

If timing is an issue the bolt holes will be arranged in such a way that only one position will be obtainable.

For the tight clutch disc you might want to try some graphite on the splines and work it back and forth.

We have New Holland 6 ft finish mower. WE run the height at about 4 in for our yard. I think it would go up to 7in. Anyways it works great.

The excavator was back today to dig up the hydrant. Turns out the plumber who hooked it up did not tighten the fitting all the way.

Dan, you might have a contamination problem from dirt or even water! Filling tanks from five gallon cans sometimes makes it difficult to keep the fuel clean and you might have some water there. Does it smoke and what color if it does?

Thanks for the reply. I tend to agree with you that either the wheel had some issue from teh start or it has just had some hard days. I bought the tractor from a family member that ran a tree farm. He took care of the equipment, but was not afraid to take it to and past its limits on occassion. The real test will be to replace teh wheel and run it. I'm just glad I wasn't on a slope when it happened. Thanks again.
