The pressure-in is on the left side as you sit in the seat. The tank or return is on the right. The valve body on the 1217 has a system relief. Even the factory installed PTO pump doesn't use anything but the internal relief that your hoe already has.

Ducks I can tell you that I have owned a TC33D for just over 3 years and it has perfomed great. I have no problems with NH. My brother bought a kubota around the same time I did and has had several problems with it. He uses his commercially I do not and all his issues were handled by his dealer to his satisfaction. I was originally going to buy a TC30 but when I saw the 33 I changed my mind. Good Luck.

Are you sure one isn't for the hydraulic system? When I did my 50 hr. service, one of the filters was bigger than the other, I think the hydraulic oil filter was the larger one.
Also, are these Kubota filters, or equivalents from some other manufacturer?

I like river rock around the house (doesn't draw bugs like mulch) on berms with evergreens or spaces that aren't being dug up frequently and those that have barbs, etc. with small leaves. These small leaves or the absence of them is good to keep the stones clean. Going with a slightly larger stone also helps. A Stihl blower will roll the smaller stones. I also keep the stones away from the stem of a plant/tree stump. The heat transfer from the stone can cook some plants/trees.<br>

Cypress and Cedar mulch holds color better and resists bugs. Because of the size of stuff I'm covering, I get plain wood chips from the City. They usually have an abundance after storms. You don't want to use real fresh stuff that has ground up leaves otherwise it will ferment if placed too thick. It requires frequent relacement, but it is "free".<br>

I rigged up my dump trailer to have 4' tall side boards and a canopy so I can haul 27 yards at a time.

While my neighbour�s kioti is getting fixed I borrowed him my old L185 !! This tractor has over 8000 hours on the tach and it never hade a very serious problem !!

Can't really comment on the price, but you may want to consider the spray on foam insulation instead of the fiberglass. My brother just had that done on his pole barn, and he loves it. It makes the building virtually air tight, except for the doors and windows obviously. And, since it's a closed cell structure, water won't damage it. Not sure on the costs though, but I would think it would also eliminate the perimiter seal your quote has.

I guess I just have to get out more.

The truck mounted welders have rubber motor mounts and vibration isolators. They also have grounding straps that run to the frame which is bolted to the truck.

You will not have a voltage problem if you build a 3ph steel frame and weld from it mounted on your tractor.

I currently have the BH Squealer 72 and am very happy with it. My dealer also sold BH and Woods, and at the time I think the only reason I ended up with BH was that was what he had in stock with the options I wanted ( flat-proof tire, slip clutch, 72"). I thikn the price was very close on both. My only experience with KK was a 60" rear-mount finish mower back in the late 80's early 90's. I wasn't really impressed with it but I have no clue what their current product is like.

After four years of work, she is finally in the water. I am still working on some minor mechanical problems such as engine alignment, timing and such but hopefully it will be a great summer of cruising and dock life.<br>

I've taken my JD4700's rear R4's down to 5 psi for a different reason -- Because the treads wouldn't completely set down on the ground, the tractor tended to slide on slopes while mowing with a rear mower, breaking loose rearend first. So, I tried low pressure to get more tread edge bite. However, I got negligible improvement (the sidewalls are too stiff), so went back to spec pressure. The only serious answer is to switch to radial R4's, which sit down on the entire tread nice. Only issue is $$$; Goodyear has some nice tread designs. too bad JD doesn't offer radials as optional.

Thanks for the replies. Ducati - point noted about sevin, my father-in-law used to swear by it also. Ken - I went to bugspray.com - interesting stuff, also looked at spot sprayers on bvance link. These are definitely possibilities for the long run. You have me thinking. For this year I may pay the low bidder to dust and spray ($250).

Yes I have about 15 acres of flat paddocks in excellent condition to mow, with another 20 acres of bush. This tractor needs to be the right size (and money) to do feed out to all the horses towing a box trailer, mow around the house, mow the paddocks, FEL to do the lifting, make cross country jumps, make trails through bush etc. Have a Massey dealer in the area but they do not have stock and parts are no problem. In Australia Massey have a much better resale in my area anyway.

I have had the chance to tweak an RTV. First was the reverse and forward relief valves bumped it up to pop off 500 lbs and 150 lbs more. Second Tuned the engine to deliver a slightly richer air fuel till just a hint of black smoke was visible under a heavy load. Then to test it out I hooked to a TC33 and had a tug of war contest. There was no real winner both spun the wheels. So I mark it up to the mods done on the RTV. With a little more weight and possibly some wider tires and wheels I think the RTV would take it.

Art, they're a motorized dust pan. Only thing I can see they are good for is in a barn with a cement floor for cleaning up manure. Or moving material for landscapers in tight spots.
