I had a Sorrento 25 with about 800 hours on her. She was not too bad to launch and tow. Any larger would be a different story.

I uploaded picture number 12 which is the whole rig ready to go on the road. I got rid of the Suburban (junk, last GM vehicle I will ever own) and the Sea Ray got sold last September.

Now I am making farm payments on a hopefully appreciating asset instead of the hole in the water in which money is tossed! LOL! ;o)

I'm thinking of making it 4' wide by 5 or 6 feet long using a 2x4 frame around the out side edges and a 2x4 in the center ran length ways from top to bottom.
Instead of resting the top on fence post I plan on using 2 folding 2x4 legs hinged at the top on each side.

When not in use the legs will fold down and run flat along side the long outside 2x4 frame.

By shrinking the size a little and using only 5 two by fours instead of 9 two by sixes it will greatly reduce the weight making it much easier to handle & far more portable.

The folding legs allow it to be folded into one rectangular shape making it easier to store by simply standing it on edge and leaning it against a wall.

If one were to use treated two by fours it could be stored outside by leaning it against a tree or what ever else may be out there handy.

Put 4 hrs on it Saturday mowing the grass. 48" weeds was not easy. I mowed first pass with mower 18" off ground. made second pass about 10" high. Did not get the chance to make third pass. Could not get into high ranges because the mower couldnt take it. Tractor did not labor or get too high in temp. I even got it stuck in a spring that I did not know I had... 4x4 is a beautiful thing. I should of went to an 84 in mower...

When I bought GC3200 last year I looked at pretty much every tractor in that size range. I went with the GC2300 for several reasons. I liked the dealer (although both were reasonable), the GC2300 doesn't rev as high as the Kubota (thought the engine might last longer), and I was informed the Kubota 3 pt hitch was not a full Class 1. I had this more or less reconfirmed this weekend when I rented a King Kutter 60" tiller, they said it wouldn't fit on the Kubota 2230 because the arms wouldn't open far enough.

I have almost 100 hrs and no complaints so far although I would like to have the tach and cruise control that is on this year's 2300.

Just my $0.02.

Mark, you've obviously never sat in the front row at the circus....

I would hazard to guess that the quick-start (ether) idea is safer than blowing that into a tire....

There is a used 4210 listed under autorv.com. It comes with loader and cab with R4 tires and hydro. It is in Utica, MI (586) 262-5874 Weingartz Equipment. It has 78 hrs. and they are asking $17,900.

can t find a 4210 anywhere

Those two are definitely different sizes! They both have different places they can work as well as how much can be done! Have you tried or looked at the new L-39? They are smaller then the 110 but yet the hoe works so much faster. You did loose some flexibility there with the loss of the use of the three point.

Thanks for the comeback earthwrks. I am not (yet) a premium member so I could not read your entire message. But I did see your suggestion that the hydraulic fluid might be low, and that's the first thing I thought of when the tractor would not move (rear wheels in a shallow rut). The TC45 DOES have HST so I checked all fluids in case the dealer did not prep the tractor right. Fluids were all topped off. I rechecked all my manual procedures and operational settings and could not find anything I missed. Hate to think the dealer could have given me a defective unit. How often does that happen? If so, it WILL happen to me!

Before I'd make a recommendation I'd really want to know more. How was the tractor used? How long of intervals was it run? How many approximate hours? I ask this because as I see people looking for the larger tractors that will not be run for long periods under load a problem arises of the rings not seating! We have seen it for years with the farm tractors or the low mile diesel truck which never got warmed up properly from in town use and the cylinders got washed from the unburned fuel from not being warmed up properly. If this is the case I might tell you to go out and run the snot out of it for an extended period of time, we might put them on a dyno for six hours plus straight under full load and be able to cook the glaze off the cylinders if not to bad but otherwise removal of the head and pistons and a good deglazing and install new rings and gaskets and be fine. A leaky head gasket normally means a loss of fluid often external but sometimes internal normally making it difficult to keep coolent in.

I am also not familiar with that model, but I once had an inline fuse come loose which prevented the shutoff solenoid from working. It took a while to diagnose because it only came loose, not all the way out, making it difficult to spot. After fixing the problem, I wrapped the fuseholder with electrical tape to prevent a repeat performance.

Still going back and forth on this tractor. I've looked on line at power steering kits, but I'm wondering it I'd need a pump since I'd have the hydraulic pump on the front for the loader. Could this be tapped into?

Ken, Bill, Oneace - thanks for you comments. The landscape pro's doing the scotch broom/slash clearing had a few farmers in the bunch (formerly of Indiana and one fellow currently in McMinnville) and some choice comments, as they were looking at the land I would be working. Unanimous - R1s, more power. The 40DA with R1s will be showing up late next week! I have to say, BrokenArrow's love of his TC40 was also a motivator. Thanks all.

Hi, I have owned My YM3000 for about five years. It is a 1977 model. Rated at 34 hp. It has been a great tractor with just the most basic maintanence needed. I also have a Bushhog brand loader mounted. I have used the pto, loader and three point in many tough situations over the years as I clear land building this little farm in SC. The only thing I might change if I ever upgrade would be to have 4 wheel drive. The loader adds much weight to the front end,which may at times cause the rear to get a little light without a ballast. I usually just hang the box blad back there to do heavy loader work. have had good luck with this tractor. Tony

The other possibility is that the ROPS has been bent possibly by running into something with it or the machine may have been rolld in the past. Fairly unlikely with the exception of Ken's experience which is not what I would call a roll but a very unusual occurance.

Art is right. It is the same tractor as the 26 same engine trans ect. The 26 has the fuel boosted a little bit. All dealers and CNH are liquidating the TC 24 and the DX24 to clear out stock. Now would be the best time to buy one.
