Has anyone used an Swisher T60 (off-set) finish mower in combination with a mid-mount mower on a compact tractor? I am considering purchasing one to use with a Kioti CK20HST and 60" mid-mount mower.

The "other Chinese tractors" forum here on tractorpoint may give you an idea of what you might run in to. Is this a crate tractor (that you have to assemble yourself)?

Does and one own a CK20 with a 60" mid-mount mower. How do you like it? How good does it cut. What speed can you run on a smooth lawn that is cut on a regular basis? Thanks

In response to the question about when sway would be desired: one application that comes to mind is with a row-crop cultivator. By having some free movement in the three point arms, you can make steering corrections without having the cultivator get off the row (the result of which is often refered to as "cultivator blight"). On the other hand, most landscaping type equipment (blade, mower, etc.) would work better with nearly all the play taken out.

Denwood - Ha Ha! I saw the website which triggered my wife to retrieve the book "The Art of Getting Even" by Gary Brodsky. My book is maybe a little more comical - I should look into your author more closely.

Anyway - I continue to not retaliate, I have just left the dirt hanging on the fence. I spoke with my family attorney, he recommends I just keep recording events with my security camera and maybe get some audio when the guy taunts me. (I had told the neighbor I have 24 hour taped surveillance but I'm not sure he believes me since I have never given anyone my tapes.)

The lawyer recommends I NOT go for the police version of mediation since there I have no need to mediate anything. Getting public officials involved is a bad idea, I will continue to be a law abiding citizen and just watch and wait for this guy to really screw up.

Actually, I also found a 20 gauge pump. It wasn't in quite as good of shape though. I had it cleaned-up!

I'm sorry,ERSKINE front mount blowers use a subframe that is adjustable for a given width or you go up one size and adjust it down, cutting the 1 1/8 inch keyed shaft
The shaft is the only cutting you do and the frame either slides together or extends to reach your tow bar not your 3 pt hitch.
I had mine out of the crate and together in 2 hrs.

Update: I just ran the tractor for about 10 minutes and the fuel gauge did come up to a full reading but the temp gauge is still burried reading below the cold side, is this normal? I think I should get some movement on the temp guage upon start up?

I agree with denwood. All the honda stuff I have owned has been great. I have two family members that have ranchers and they are very happy with them.

Thanks for all the advise. He decided (I think it was his wife) that they don't have extra money right now to rent and fence extra land. I did do the math on my plot and it is only 3 acres that could have been used. From this and other sources, horses can be pretty hard on the land.

I did find a dairy farmer who is taking the grass this season, whoo, I don't have to cut it. I told my neighbor he can exercise his horses on it after the last cutting if he wants.

I agree that pets are for us to enjoy and are placed in our care and that they are our responsibility. I do, however, disagree with your statement... It is usually pretty easy for a person to tell a pet from a wild cat..."if it trusts people, it's a pet. If it begins to run when it sees you, it is wild." As I mentioned before, I'm a dog lover. Dogs do not scare me, no matter how mean they may act. I say that because I once took care of the cat of an elderly woman while she was away for a few days. I would stop in her home to feed the cat. Prior to her leaving I had sat there with her and the cat was on my lap just loving my company. I expected it to be that way when the woman was gone. I walked into that home the first time to feed the cat and immediately feared for my life. OK, at least my eyesight. I actually expected the cat to attack me from an unknown location at any time. I had never in my life seen such a transformation and would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it. It was like being in a Stephen King movie. My main point is, here was someone's pet. It was a wonderful pet to that woman and nice to be around as long as she was there. It could have been a child's pet, your pet or my pet. Do you think that cat would have come to you or me if it was outside (which it never was)? Just because it runs away doesn't make it wild. Ideally, I wouldn't want my dog going to a stranger. While I don't advocate letting the population of anything get out of control I can't see the indiscriminate destruction of anything, especially based on whether it runs away or not. Unfortunately, that tactic wouldn't even work in Iraq.

The syptoms where strange enough that niether the dealer or the regional service rep. had any idea what was wrong. Wasn't the kind of problem they had seen before. I still have a hard time understanding how it could happen, but as long as it's fixed, tractor on.

If you're seeing lots & lots of weeds, the pasture might be becoming overgrazed. Rotate the areas being sure the horses are removed when the grass is really short (rule of thumb is i think 4" or less). What's happening is the grass is being stressed too much and weeds are going nuts in the holes. Weedkiller won't solve this problem long-term. Focus your energy on keeping the grass vibrant & strong. Aerate if you can (hooves pound the ground solid). Overseed & fertilize as needed.

I have 2 horses in smaller areas too. What I'll do once the area is grazed well is remove/ breakup manure piles, then mow at a tall setting. This knocks down most weeds before they go to seed. I'll let the area rest for at least a few weeks before horses go back. Really scary (potentially toxic) weeds are removed by hand or spotspraying & keeping horses off area till sprayed plants die off. In the winter horses are on a small sacrifice area so that their prime grazing areas aren't damaged.

Hi! I used to work at a Zetor dealer, and we had 2 Zebra 2040, one of which is now mine. They are neat little tractors. We used to rent one out with a 48 inch roto-tiller on the back. We also used to use them on big PTO powered grain augers. Mine has a KwikWay loader on the front. I haven't gotten any other attachments for it yet, but I might get a finish mower for it. What info are you looking for? I'm at work, so I'll list what I know, but I can look up most anything, as I have the books for it.

They were not made by Zetor, only sold through Zetor dealers. The 2 that I have seen do not say Zetor on them anywhere. I can�t remember how to spell the name of the Czech company that actually built them.

It sounds like a flow restriction, especially since the float will still allow flow. Check your couplings to make sure they are plugged in properly. Even if they are, make sure there isn't something stuck it one of the poppit valves. Sounds like a poppit is stuck. There probably isn'ty anything serious wrong with the valve. Just dirt or grime restricting the flow.
