I have a Kubota M4900. Anybody have any idea what a LA1002 loader would cost. Thanks.

My neighbor (kubota L2950 owner) does not like me because I fenced off my property from his use (2 years ago). So yesterday he began scraping dirt with his loader and piling it up about 2 feet against my wire fence so it is bulging through the fence and dragging my wire to the ground. The line is clearly marked - I had stakes put in every 50 feet. I put the fence 1 foot inside the line - he knows where the line is.<br>

I called the police and they talked to him - but they say it is a civil matter. It seems to me this is clearly an act of aggression - no different from a kid breaking windows and this should be treated as such. During the day the cops came two more times. Once for the guy putting a bottle of anti-freeze on the pile of dirt to signal he was going to kill our trees (we got a picture - then he ran down and removed the gallon - he admitted to police it was there but said it was just water), then again for shining a million watt spotlight on us while we were walking around the house at 10PM.<br>

Each time he spoke to the cops, he became more aggressive and insisted to the police chief he had a right to hold a spotlight on anyone he wanted - then held it on the chief for a brief second. <br>

So I guess I will be out there today on my tractor to clean up a stone wall. I know the advice from many of you will be to settle this - it can become pretty awful - no way to spend your life. But my belief is that I have a right to use my property without intimidation and I will only come out of here one way - dead.<br>

I don't want to spend lots of money on court, lawyers - I know this is a waste of time. I may just get an estimate on what it costs to clear out - fix fence and go to small claims court. But I think these folks are arrogant because her father is well known in town and may have influence on a judges decision.<br>

I knew this would happen - because we have really cleaned up the property line and planted nice large 6-8 foot spruce trees, made nice lawn, etc. They are steaming because we have developed something nice for our use that they had planned for using to compensate for the fact that they built their house 40 feet from my line (and they have a 4 acre lot).<br>

Any creative ideas are welcome! Except be nicey-nice to a 35 year old punk (I am 52).

while checking front axle oil level on JD4400 Gear model w/ 4WD, the plastic dipstick/plug fell into the oil well void in the axle. Any idea on getting it out?

Yes, I'd use the 'Build Your' feature on the Deere website to get full list price, but as far as dealer discount goes,that seems to vary regionally and dealer-to-dealer from 10-20%. In my case, my new 4120 package with FEL and BH was discounted 14%. Setup charges, etc. will also vary among dealers. I'd definately include the quality and reputation of the dealer in my decision. What with 0% financing through JD, paying slightly more to buy from an excellent dealer won't be that visible in your pocketbook, but the benefits of a top-notch dealer will surely be visible.

You are right, it does only take a day or two for a check to clear. But if it does not clear and is returned for some reason, the special handling of the return can cause the return to take several days. Throw in a weekend and you've got your 7-10 days total elapsed time. It does not come back as quickly and effeciently as it was processed.

The important thing in any check transaction from the bank's point of view is "know your endorser". When you deposit a check to your account, you are the endorser and are liable for that item. If the bank knows you and trusts you and you are creditworthy, they should not be placing a hold on the deposit. Most national banks don't bother to get to know you or employ untrained staff that do not have the ability to know a good customer from a bad one, so they simply treat all customers the same way....as bad customers. Everyone loses then.

Again, find a bank that cares, get to know the manager and supervisors, explain to them your type of business, your needs and I'll bet they will take care of your needs without the hassle.

I have been looking at the Honda Rancher 400 AT and the Suzuki Eiger AT. I test rode both of them today at the same dealer. I like the way both handled althoough I felt a little more comfortabe on the Honda. I probably would have decided on the Honda except the Suzuki did turn a little easier in hard turns. Bottom line I left the dealership undecided. Anyone out there with either of these ATVs and if so any comments on your experiences with them?

Thanks, DRankin. I thought about adding weight if need be as well. If I needed to add weight in some cases, do you thing there would be any other performance differences to go to the bigger model? If, not I just as well go with the BX model so I Know there will not be any clearance issues. The teeth on the BX model are 12 inches high and 16" on the bigger model but I don't see that as a big deal. I'm having a hard time seeing that there would be any other issues other than the weight.

I was doing my maintenance routine today on some of the "toys" and did an oil change on this along with a good cleaning (its lived in a barn for 5 years unused) and found out the air filter is all used up.<br>

I went to the dealer and asked for one and got the deer in the headlights stare, followed by the question "A what?" then, "What motor does it have in it?" As far as I can tell, its a Kubota motor. There's no other tags or any thing on it, so...<br>

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about these little gems as to the motor and availability of parts. I'm a little more confused than normal. I cobbled a filter into it from the small engine shop in town. Who, by the way, repeated the exact same questions. I would like to put the correct parts into it in the future, though.

I have a Jinma 254 and it won't start .Ran fine for 57 hours<br>
It cranks over very slowly ,battery connections and starter are all good .<br>
It seems something is binding in the engine.Disconected hydraulic pump ,disengaged PTO, <br>
Any suggestions ?<br>

Well in order to get close to what I wanted in HP it meant going up to the 7610 and for a bit more $$$ I can jump to 28HP in the Deere 4210 - (I will be pushing, blowing, scooping a lot of snow and felt the more HP the better) also, Re-sale in the NE anyway - and biggest reason wife likes the color scheme better - (just kiddin')

I've had three Chevy pickups with the same story. So is Chevy a POS. No, I don't think so. Sounds to me that if you keep having these sorts of breakage problems, you bought too small of tractor for the job.

I recently purchased a JD 1070 w/440 FEL. I'd like to be able to put a snowblower up front and I've contacted the local dealer and Deere directly. No-one seems to have any answers for me. Has anyone ever done this and what model blowers will work. I assume the mid PTO is where the unit will be powered from and I can't even seem to get any info on which parts I need to add that to my machine.

There are many people that really don't need the BX or any compact but they sure are handy! I see people that get really carried away with the tractor on size and then wind up with a zero turn as there compact can't get around easy enough.

Kubota uses low effort levers for many of the the things that Deere chooses to use electric switches for. There is no need to panic because of switch failure due to moisture or condensation.

The mower deck lift arms can be locked in the raised position with the deck height adjuster. This gets them up high enough that they don�t interfere at all with the sub-frame in my application.

The mower deck is raised by a link that operates off the left lower 3 point arm on the 2210 and I believe the same is true for the 4110. I have to remove both 3 point arms for the backhoe and, as shinefeak said, the linkage is held in place with hair pins and lynch pins so no tools are required.

My belly mower raises and lowers from the 3 point hitch. On mine there are several adjustment holes on the bracket attached to the deck. You may be able to get a little more lift out of it. Likewise my 3 point has several positions that can adjust height. You may be able to get some extra stroke out of there also. Mine isn't a JD so I don't know exactly how it is built but assume it's similar.<br>

You shouldn't be mowing when the grass is wet nor should you be negotiating hills when the dirt is wet either. Bad stuff happens!!!<br>
