I thought I'd make a brief post on my impressions on a first drive of a Jeep Liberty CRD.<br>

I drove a Limited level CRD. The trim and vehicle in general is the same as a gas version, so I won't waste time on that.<br>

The Motor started with a few seconds of wait with a small white puff. (45� outside) It idled smooth with some diesel rattle. More than my '01 TDI VW, but MUCH less than my '94 12v Cummins. After walking around the running vehicle and going over the exterior for about 5 minutes, the temp was fully up to operating levels, so I drove off.<br>

The 5-speed auto is smooth and shifts nicely with out too much business. Acceleration was brisk and definitely adequate for urban traffic needs. It won't win many races, but pulls strong and smooth. Noise levels inside again fall between my TDI and 12v Cummins. If you are looking for silence, look elsewhere. If you don't mind a little rattle, you'll be fine. With the radio at a normal listening level, the motor sound nearly disappears. I would describe the acceleration performance as similar to my TDI, so it is no slouch. It would definitely eat my '86 VW diesel or my old '85 6.2 Blazer's lunch without a problem. <br>

Overall I was pleased with the vehicle. Ride quality is okay, it is a short wheelbase SUV after all, and would be comfortable for most situations. I don't think I'd drive coast to coast with it, but a couple hours at a time would be alright. Ride is no different from the V-6 Libertys I've driven before.<br>

BTW the sticker said 22/27 for fuel economy, if memory serves. Clean up the intake and exhaust a bit and this will rise for sure. (Too many resonators and silencers for my taste.) <br>

You'd have more than that in a new TC33DA and backhoe, in fact I have more than that in a 2003 TC33D and a 2004 backhoe which I bought both of them new. For all appearences it would seem like a good deal.

I *think* the adjusters I mentioned will be a direct replacement for a B7510.

Modifications for a BX: If you look closely at the picture (#20, sorry its small) you will see the lower link arms have an "ear" which normally attaches to a "c" shaped clip on the OEM adjusters. The new adjusters look like a flattened tube, open on the end only. This opening must be extended down the side of the "tube" so that the ear on the lower link will enter it from the side.

My Pic 19 is of my new short top link, but also shows the OEM adjusters in the background, if this helps.

After much struggle I ended up ordering the regular series KK 4 foot blade -- it weighs 55 pounds more than the XB I initially looked at as well as has a greater volume. I hope I don't regret that it doesn't cover my tracks (which are 50"). The 5' blade just seemed like it would be too much for my 7510 -- and the 54" units I found were twice the money (at least).

I'm excited for it to arrive so I can see how well it works. I'll let people know if it was the right choice -- or if it's for sale because I need the bigger one!

Have you ever come across anyone putting a skidsteer quick-attach interface on their 410 loader? A company, ATI, makes them but doesn't advertise they have one to fit the 410 loader. They thought the 4115 was too short on power to handle skidsteer implements. I'm looking for a way to interface a skidsteer "tree shovel" by DirtWorks to a 4115/410 combination. I can't find anyone who sells s tree-shovel for tractor loaders. Any advice? Thanks

The "older" models have better specs in the downloadable operator's manual available on the JD website. The new 3000-Twenty series manuals aren't posted yet. Another idea is to get a brochure from a JD dealer. They include a few more specs than the current website. I've been researching the 3000-TWENTY series myself for an upgrade from my wonderful 4115.

I have a yanmar ym 146 2 cylinder diesel that has a serial # of 20973 and am looking for the extended shaft that bolts onto the front of the crank and drives the elec clutch that turns the belt for the mowing deck and need the elec clutch also unless the sleeve can be made locally. Any help on these woiuld be greatly appreciated.

Roger; My experience has been to set the teeth shallow to start with, then a bit deeper till your tractor tells you you're deep enough. Seems to work best to scarify it first then pull the soil with the teeth retracted. Frank.

I wasn't aware of this till a friend of mine replaced his cutting edge. A local steel yard keeps it in stock and will cut it to your length. He just cut the old worn one out and welded the new edge in. It looked real nice, but he is an excellent welder. Likely most steel outlets have it, I just wasn't aware of it. Frank.

I too have a ym146 with a serial # of 20973 and mine was made in 1983 as far as I know cause I bought it in late 1983 or early 1984, hard to remember that long ago, I do need parts for mine such as the extended shaft that bolts onto the front of the crank and drives the elec clutch for the mower deck belt

I'm building a 3 point hitch dethacher and I needed to know how far apart the link pins on the hitch needed to before I weld it.

I saw 26" on the information on the net , but my drawbar was only 22" wide.

I know that 26" is Cat 1 specificed.

The dethacher will have both Cat 0 and Cat 1 pins. I'm going to set at 26".

Ask your dealer about it, they want you to be a happy return customer. I agree lugging a new engine would be more harmfull than higher RPM's. Frank.

I just installed my Woods GTC 52" tiller. In doing that I had to adjust the Cat I brackets as they were set too close together. However, I noticed that when I placed centered on the PTO shaft that the tiller is actually off-set about 4" to the right.<br>

If I were to align it to be centered on the tractor, then the PTO shaft would be a bit to the left of center.<br>
<br>
I chose to have the PTO shaft connect "straight" - did I do this correctly? Could I run it with the slight off-set as well?
