From what I read in the literature, the 3520 can use a 300x or a 300cx loader. The CX version has a max lift of a couple hundred more pounds more than the x model. Also, the 3520 has more electronic gizmos like Power reverser and Load match. The overall chasis size seems similar. You won't believe the comfortable floating seat! Nice machine, but more dinero than the 4410. I've been looking for a 4410 and my dealer can't even get any more.

I love my 4115 with 60" belly mower. In addition to mowing, it does all I need it to do.

You said you've been planting and transplanting trees. I'm doing the same except I'm starting a small tree farm. Are you using your tractor to the transplant trees or plant the treelings? They make a real nice "Tree Shovel" for skidsteers to do that but I haven't found anyone that's used one on a CUT, like my 4115. Interested to hear what your using.

I wanted to upgrade my 4115 to a 4410 but the dealer here in Colorado said JD is all sold out of 4310s and 4410s and I'd have to go to the 3000 Twenty series, at considerably higher cost for the equivalent HP and hydraulics. Bummer!

I bought the KK standard size version of their middle-buster last month for my JD4115. My I-match won't fit it. I haven't found a KK implement that will fit my I-Match yet! So I have to use it, and my KK rock rake, direct off the draft arms without the I-match. Also, the standard version of the KK middlebuster does not include the extra subsoiler blade. I've been using the middlebuster to dig trenches to plant treelings and it works good at full depth (advertised at 14"). I don't know why KK doesn't make their implements to match the I-match.

Yes, and there is always someone that will do it cheaper.
You should keep in mind when you hirer out that you are wearing your tractor out, So just doing it too supplement your payments is not replacing the cost. Remember joe down the road just paid $3500. for his old tractor & bush hog and you paid 12 to 15K for your's.

yooper, Ive been designing houses and project managing for years. I bought the other equipment to do some of the work and because I enjoyed it so much.It seemed that I had to do houses to keep my equipment insured, maintained and payed for I guess it's back to the same old same old. Too many irons in the fire.

Spartan I got the building in Honeybrook Pa. It cost about $8000.00 delivered I thought that was a great price for a 14'x48' cedar building.

Been looking at a boxblade. Never used one before, so info found here has been helpful. Ran into the same issues that many of you have... quality vs price, amount of use it will actually get, size of tractor, etc. Of all I looked at the Landpride seems to be the best (the Woods was a little more expensive and similar quality, but the dealer pissed me off). Not sure the jump in quality is worth the jump in price, but I do want to buy just one. I have a TC40A and will be getting the 72".

I also got just about the same set-up. JD4310 4wd, 300cx loader (new version of the 430), ehydro, block heater, 3rd valve, power beyond kit etc. all for around $18K plus taxes. I did also get a 48 back hoe, box blade, and snowblower which was not included in the price I just mentioned. Those additional items might have helped reduce the cost of the tractor/loader. I would go back at your dealer. Sounds high to me.

I am considering buying a gas powered MF 245 with 840 hours on it. The dealer has gone over it and it shows new belts, filters, etc. and they repainted the engine and underbelly. They want $6500 for it. I want to use it primarily for brush hogging and maybe disking for game plots in the future. Does this sound like a good tractor for me and does the price seem reasonable? Also, what should I look for or what could go wrong?<br>

Make sure you block the clutch open. Depress the pedal and insert a block of wood between the clutch foot rod and the tractor pan. This will assure the clutch faces won't freeze from long term storrage. It's simple to do and can save some real $$'s.

Thanks everyone for the reply. Very reassuring. I ran the BX23 for several hours at my place thanks to Kubota dealer. Looks almost perfect. Am headed to my salesman in a couple of hours to work a deal.
